«Clayton House» is just your basic, basic cheap-​ass motel. They do offer a very good weekly rate of $ 220. That’s $ 8-​$ 10 a night cheaper than most of it’s competitors. That mighty not be much for most of you, but it pays for my dinner. By the way, there are a lot of decent, reasonably– priced places to eat within walking distance. You will have to pay a deposit if you want a non-​smoking room. They do NOT accept pets!
If you go to Google and search for reviews you will find ‘em — ALL bad! It is alleged that the rooms and linens are dirty, that there is prostitution and drug use in the rooms facing away from the road, the management is extremely rude, etc. I’d recommend that you at least ask to see the room before paying for it.
