Interesting little hamburger joint we found on our way up North. I have food allergies, so just ordered a burger with no bun or sides. It was tasty, but not very filling. The price is right at this place! Unique set of artwork and signs up on the walls.

This place is so overrated. The prices are way too high, the burgers are bland, and the fries are limp. I’ve had fast-food burgers and fries way better than this!

This is my second time here and I will tell all you future eatziz’ do not get the hickory burger unless you like heat lamp patties soaked in BBQ and then covered and drowned your buns into a soggy mess… but the would of been good had they not been cold.

It’s the bee’s knees. The cat’s meow. Puts me into a food coma where I drift to a land of pure ecstasy.

This would be a go-to, traditional-style burger joint in Denton! Nothing’s fancy; just your basic burger and toppings. The atmosphere is very Texan and old style — just a little smoky inside from time to time.

DCIHC is where I have had the best burger I’ve ever eaten, as well as the worst. Here’s a tip, go in there for a Hamburger/Cheeseburger, they are FANTASTIC. If you try to get any fancier than that, you may be in trouble. Do not, and I repeat, DONOT, ever get the«Hickory Burger». You’d be better off just drinking an entire bottle of BBQ Sauce. They poured so much BBQ Sauce on that thing that it became a knife and fork sandwich. Which in itself isn’t bad, but when it’s because it’s drowned in BBQ sauce, that’s bad. Because it’s all you could taste. It had meat, bread, cheese and onions on it also, but I never would have guessed it. It takes some real doing to drown out the taste of onion, but they managed to do it. Their chili burger is similar, but chili tastes better than straight BBQ sauce, and it’s not as over-powering, but still can’t really taste the meat or anything on account of all the chili. Just get a regular hamburger/cheeseburger, they are really great and consistently voted the best burgers in Denton for good reason. Just don’t get adventurous. Their Chicken Fried Steak is OK, but pretty small, especially for the price. Side Note On Handicap Accessibility — I took my dad who has a broken foot/ankle to DCIHC on my last visit, and it’s not very wheelchair friendly. There’s a huge hump at the door that took two people to pull him over, and then once inside it’s so tight/cramped that it’s hard to move around. If it weren’t for the fact this was after the lunch rush and the place was relatively empty, I wouldn’t have been able to even get him to a table.

Definitely the best burger joint in town, get the hickory burger, I’ve strayed from it a few times and always missed the mouth watering rich delicious wonder that is the hickory burger. The burgers come with an ungodly ammount of fries, but all of the goo that comes out of the hickory burger slops on top of the fries and greats a magical hickory fry situation that is the best thing ever.
