The office staff is incompetent. .They don’t have a clue about billing. They give you a deductible price while you are in the office, but after you leave, they continually increase the costs, and keep billing you for unexplained costs. Then they will blackmail you and will not allow you to have any follow up visits until you pay their extorted.bill. I don’t know how patients on a fixed income could afford to use this company. Don’t recommend using this company.

I have dealt with a number of cardiologists over the past six years and this office houses two of the worst. If that weren’t enough their business office is staffed by liars and crooks. Dr. Richard Ammar is dangerously incompetent. He refused to listen to my concerns. Refused to adjust my meds until my blood pressure bottomed out in his office. My word wasn’t good enough. Was genuinely put out when I asked questions. Told me I was a ‘complainer’ when concerned about my health. Three days later I was back in the hospital with severe thrombosis. Dr. Ammar couldn’t be bothered to make it to the hospital so I got to deal with another incompetent from this office, Dr. Harris. Harris is the most uninformed cardiologist I’ve ever dealt with. If you like your medicine straight from the seventies he is your man. The most surprising thing about him is his ability to maintain such an inflated ego based on absolutely nothing. One of the reasons for this stay in the hospital was the failure of one of my meds to do it’s job, so of course I got a new one. I asked Dr Harris if there was a way to test the efficacy of the new medication. Three times. He didn’t know and could not be bothered to check. I called his office and finally found a nurse willing to look into it. She went all the way to the drug company’s SALESPERSON to find out. She informed me there was no test but that was unnecessary because the drug was ‘so good’. This was not only lazy but absolute bullshit. Just one of the times I was given patently incorrect information. After this hospital stay the office decided the payment plan we had agreed on in the beginning wasn’t good enough. They decided I not only needed to make the payment but also pay in advance for the half-assed services rendered. After being unable to work because this incompetent office was unable to keep me out of the hospital. Their suggestion was to not make my payments but instead save for the office visits I really needed. I made a smaller payment and started saving money. Before I could schedule another appointment they sent my account to collections and sent me a letter stating I no longer had a cardiologist. If you have to see anyone from this office double check all info and get everything from the business office in writing.
