Évaluation du lieu : 5 Denton, TX
To anyone who thinks local government funding should be abridged I would refer you to the Denton public library system. The modern literary fiction and nonfiction selection is surprisingly diverse, given that there are two university library systems in the same town. A short walk from the square, Fowler Public Library membership is free(even to renting college students) and grants you access to nearly limitless lit fic, periodical, DVD, audiobook, & popular fiction for 3 weeks at a time. The most valuable aspect, however, is their website(although it’s not glamorous) where one can reserve any item in the library system from any of the branches and find it on the shelf in their chosen library the next day. As if that isn’t enough to put public servants back in your favor, the staff is friendly, well-read, and always willing to suggest new authors based on your taste. (According to the updates I get from them on the Facebook, they also have quite an array of class offerings for book worms of all ages, although I can’t say that I’ve attended any given my lack of interest in vampire fiction and genealogy.)
