Update: I received an email on 8÷17÷2012 in my spam folder that they have closed their doors. From the dates of the other reviews, this was LONG over due. I scheduled my reservation online, as requested by the instructions for today, 8⁄18 at 2:00pm. I had made the reservation, received a confirmation receipt from the merchant. I received no confirmation call from the merchant 24 hrs prior to the reservation date, as per their policy stated on their website. I tried to call this morning at 8:34am, only to get a message that the voice mailbox was full. I sent 2 text messages with no response. I also sent the below message from their«contact us» link at 9:31am: I have family in town and had planned to treat them to a day on the lake. When I did not receive a response by 10:00am from any of the avenues I tried, I made other plans. I had given a similar groupon as a gift and they had issues reserving after several attempts over a 3 month period It seems as though this company has gone out of business. I have seen other purchasers recount the same experience on Unilocal in the past week with no response from Making Waves. I would caution doing any further business with this company.

I had a very similar experience as Amy E. We had reservations and the kids were all excited but when I called for directions that morning when we were in the are(we had a hard time finding it), I was treated like I was stupid and was told I did not have reservations, despite me having them printed, screen shotted on my Iphone, and a confirmation number with my name, date, etc… I was then told to call someone else who never answered their phone(voicemail was full) or text messages. The kids were heartbroken so I ended up paying full price for a different place in the area that happened to have a boat available at the last minute due to a cancellation. So now what I was thinking was a good deal on a Groupon was very disappointing. I just went on line to try to reserve a boat(the Groupon I was unable to use that day expires on Sept 30th). Well go figure — there are no reservations available between now, August 12th and September 30th. I will be calling Groupon for a refund.
