If no stars were possible, this place would get it. I wanted a fade with a scissor cut to clean up the top… Yeah. A Jonus brother looking undercut with a lot of length upstairs is NOT what I asked for. I got tired of telling the instructor and the student what I wanted. I will NOT be going back.

They do a sort of okay job for the price as far as actual services go. But, they do take twice — 3x longer than an actual salon. However, there customer service is severely lacking. Everybody seems completely clueless about operations and has no idea what’s going on. They overbook all the time and don’t call you to reschedule. Instead they wait for you to show up and try to bump you to an appt time that’s an hour or 2 later… And act like it’s no big deal and they are doing you a favor. I understand that it is a school, but the Aveda Institute has it completely together, so being a school is not an excuse for a poor operation.

Wish I would have read the reviews. I’m black and wear my hair natural. I went for a wash and flat iron, should have noticed the students’ heads and ran out of the door. They are not knowledgable at all about afro american hair as their practice tools are heads of straight flowing hair. Long story short, I left with my hair matted like a doll and still had to pay for the incomplete service. The student was very kind, but the teacher wasn’t so kind when I refused to allow the student to finish my hair. Geeeezzzzzzzzzz! Beware! Paul Mitchell is a lot better!

I am a Senior citizen living on a small social security. I was excited by the schools half off special for new clients. I decided to treat my daughter and two grand daughters to a birthday/back to school facial. I was assured by 3 people as I made the appointment that my «guests» would be half price. I called prior to arriving and it was assured .When we arrived, Miss Starr(a very sanctimonious person with power). embarrassed me by saying she could not honor the special. Trying to salvage what was now embarrassing and set the tone for what I hoped would be fun and relaxing as disappointing and anything but fun. During the facial it became clear their students were focused on selling their products. I was so upset, I did not realize I had been charged for products and services not received. A few days later, I called and yet again a self-absorbed«Miss Starr», after 3 phone calls and a 20 minute wait, refunded one-half of what I was over charged. I have found the students wonderful, enthusiastic, and on their own for knowledge. Miss Starr… needs a course in something besides herself. Nasty, ugly soul! This is the Ogle school in Denton, Tx. Usually very slow…

I’ve gone to OGLE for occasional facial treatments. I tell ya… those students know their stuff! In my humble opinion, it’s a reflection of the teachers. While getting a facial service, the esthetic teacher(I think her name is Mrs. Florez, she talked with a Latin accent) came by, looked over the students shoulder, whispered some long technical terms for acne and different kinds of moles(at least that’s the impression I got), then the student explained to me what those technical terms were… Yes, I really understood… just please, don’t ask me to repeat it. I’m looking forward to my next visit to OGLE.

I came in yesterday afternoon while I was passing by this school and was heading myself to the Golden Triangle Mall to kill some time waiting on my friends. Came into the school out of curiosity. I always going to beauty school for the affordable services. I guess I was willing to take the risk that day. I decided to get a ‘Spa Pedicure’ and a ‘Spa Facial’ service. Two different students were assigned to me. One student for my ‘Spa Pedicure’ and one student for ‘Spa Facial’. When you think of getting a ‘Spa Pedicure’ you think of the tub for your feet. Your callus and cuticles being cleaned up. You think of the term ‘RELAXing’. I didn’t experience any of that. I was holding up my own legs, trying to balance them on a stool. Was on a chair not attached to any type of tub. The paint removing part took 20 whole minutes. She didn’t even finish the actual process. The paint job itself was not very clean either. My 10 year old cousin could of done a better job. She seem like she had no experience in the actual service. It was a waste of $ 13 for the ‘Spa Pedicure’. I don’t recommend this service to ANY one. Although I did not have a good view of the school, I ended the day off at Olge School on a positive note. I was very relaxed during my ‘Spa Facial’. I took a little nap while was there. She lacked the massage aspect and she talked too much during my session. Although she was very knowledgeable with the skin aspect. She needed to present herself in a more professional way though. $ 21 for a ‘Spa Facial’ was well worth it. It took a little longer for the students to take care of everything and set up for the appointment. The original two hour appointment dragged on to three hours. The instructors were lazy and didn’t really check up on the students working on their clients like they were used to. I’m used to going to beauty schools and getting critiqued. Teachers were having their own conversations in the back room instead of working. One of the students did say that the teachers were very easy-going and so she didn’t learn anything from them. I might try it out one more time. Just won’t be going in for nail services for sure.
