We had crap wonton for an appetizer and the house cashew chicken and spicy noodle shrimp for entrees. Everything was terrible the wontons were chewy and barely fried. The chicken from cashew chicken was over cooked and too tough. The spicy shrimp was cooked so poorly it didn’t taste like shrimp anymore. One dish is an accident two dishes I can forgive three dishes though?! Never coming again

Best thai in Denton and I have tried most of them. Very nice staff and awesome food. The red curry with tofu is my favorite and the fresh rolls with peanut sauce is delicious! My SO and I went once on Valentine’s Day and they flew in a Lakhon Dancer from Thailand(I believe) and she did a beautiful performance! Love this place.

Food: 7⁄10 Service: 8⁄10(+1 for cute waitress) Value: 7⁄10 Ambience: 7⁄10 I knew the previous owner for over 15 years before they sold the business. They also had Sukhothai I and II in Denton. One turned into Thai Ocha on University Dr. and Two was next to UNT, which is now closed forever :( This new owner is a lady from Laos, and she really cares about customers’ opinions on how the food taste. She would keep raving about her special secret recipe on her Thai papaya salad, which is a bit overhyped in my opinion. Anyways, the food was good but nothing to write home about. It’s definitely not authentic, so don’t expect too much. The ambience and atmosphere make you feel like you’re in a decent restaurant. The waitress at the time was definitely cute(forgot her name though). Good Thai place and good location to dine overall.

First time eating here today on a to-go order. Let me first start by saying that the flavor was good. I ordered the lunch special of beef & broccoli which came with a small soup and spring roll. For almost $ 10, the portions were extremely small compared to every other Thai place I’ve ever eaten. Hardly any meat at all. Usually beef & broccoli is just that, but it also came with carrots & onions & soupy sauce. The spring roll was placed in the same container as the entrée so when I got back to my office, it was soggy & mushy. Just not at all what I was hoping for. Over priced for what you get…

Tasty Thai food, fair prices, and friendly service. What is not to like? I had the following: Salad wraps — like a non fried spring roll without shrimp chicken lettuce wraps — the meat filling and sauce was good(not amazing) but the lettuce was wilting Tom kahi soup — tasty broth but not enough meat or veggies in the soup Seafood curry(yellow) — totally awesome and fresh assortment of seafood Coconut ice cream with sweet sticky rice — delicious flavor but the ice cream was so hard you had to break it before you could eat it This was my second time here. I like the place enough to come back again, but I’m simply not blown away enough to give a 5 star review.

My favorite Thai restaurant so far. The waitstaff is always awesome and the food is great!!! Wait time on food is about average. I love how you get to pick how spicy and can always add more if you’d like. The sticky rice is great! Def recommend this place!

I’ve waited a couple trips before I finally gave my full review. These trips have spanned a couple years. In the beginning the food was very good. Service was good, yet slow. This sounds weird but their ice tea is really really good I’m happy to report they they just keep getting better and better. The service seems to be speeding up and the food is getting better. The lunch specials they do(M-F) are soooo worth it. You get a completely cup of soup and the appetizer of the day for less than 10(price varies depending on the meat you choose) but the lunch menu options are very wide, they have something for everyone. I suggest the tom yum soup. Usually I’m more of a tom kha person but the yum is to die for here.

Great food. Admittedly it’s very Americanized Thai, but the variety and quality is very good. The lunch specials are an amazing bargain.

I’ve been going here since the beginning of 2015, which I don’t know why I just then discovered this restaurant after living in the area for almost two years! I’m a hard person to please with pad Thai and very particular of the taste. But I have to say, sweet basil for the win! Their pad Thai is soooooooooo good. No joke. So much flavor in every bite! I order the tofu pad Thai. I know what you’re thinking, how bland tofu can be. But sweet basil’s pad Thai has so much flavor and the CORRECT flavor, that even with vegetables or tofu still tastes so delicious! It’s not too sweet, or tangy or spicy, just right! I’ve also tried their tom yum soup with chicken, they have it for lunch specials and even a small appetizer like crab Rangoon. I’m drooling just thinking about it. I’m going to end it here with this last note: this place is a must!

Sweet basil Thai is my favorite Thai restaurant in Denton. The green curry is delicious and definitely spicy enough.

Love their curry! Pretty much one of the best Thai places to get curry. I ordered the chicken green curry and the curry is not watery at all.

We were the only ones here when we came in on a Thursday night. We were in town for my sister’s graduation the next day and decided to have dinner at a Thai restaurant. Even though my sister has lived in Denton for a few years, she had never been to this location. We almost thought the place was closed, but it wasn’t. The food was alright. The fried rice was really sticky, compared to how loose fried rice usually is, but it had a lot of flavor, mainly garlic. I like garlic, so I thought it was good. My favorite Thai dish is pad see ew, which I first ordered at Madam Mam’s in Austin. I’ve been trying several Thai restaurants and comparing the pad see ew dishes, but I haven’t found one that is equally as good as Madam Mam’s. The pad see ew here is not sweet at all. It tasted more like scrambled egg with a bit of soy sauce or oyster sauce, whatever they use. My parents ordered the spicy eggplant, but it was really soupy and rarely had any eggplant. It was mainly bell pepper. The waitress was nice, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering pad see ew or spicy eggplant here. Maybe the other dishes are better. The interior décor is very nice, and the main dining area looks clean.

I’ve been here twice with my boyfriend. The first time was really good. I’ve been trying to find a place that serves good ladna in denton and this place is down the street from my apartment. The first time was really good. The ladna was made a bit different from back home but it was still ladna. The second time I tried it, I ordered it the way it would be served at home and it wasn’t very good. It was way too salty and it was really off. I dunno. I might give it 1 more try. The service there is really good though. And the Thai tea was good too

I moved here from Michigan and this is the first Thai place I’ve tried down here. Thai food is my favorite and this place didn’t disappoint me. While it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, I’m a little bias. My parents were here to visit and I convinced them to try it with me. We started with the Crab Wontons and the Chicken Wings. Both delicious, however if I had to choose one, I would choose the wings over the wontons. The wontons here are not up to par with the wontons I get a home, but again, I’m a little bias. Pad Thai is what I usually order at home so I wanted to try it from here. It was just as yummy as the one I get at home, so definitely worth the trip. The House Cashew Chicken was ordered by my mom. She said it was good, but there wasn’t enough chicken and cashews for her liking. But, we did order the lunch special, so maybe they save money by doing mostly vegetables for lunch versus a more equal proportion of chicken and vegetables. My father ordered the Spicy Basil. He was satisfied, but it was nothing impressive. I will definitely be returning.

I went for the lunch right as lunch specials were ending at 2:30. The soup was very good, not sure what type it was but had a light chowder taste with chicken, the appetizer of the day was spring rolls(really egg rolls, but were not bad) and I had the Bangkok chicken. It was a nice mix of sweet and spicy and was nicely portioned, however I was disappointed that the only veggies with it were green bell pepper and mushroom. A few more vegetables would have made me happier, but that was my fault for not paying attention to the description. On a chauvinistic note; if you pay attention to the wait staff(if that’s your thing), the waitresses were all pretty attractive. I didn’t see any male, so I’m sorry ladies, I can’t say whether or not there’s anyone there for you to objectify.

Not great. Rice was inconsistent, Some was uncooked some was too cooked. Maybe I got the between shift cook The taste was bland just a lot of chili flakes mixed at the end. Same with the soup, it’s like they just poured some chili flakes on it and sail look now is spicy. The chicken in the soup was to difficult to chew. This was a disappointing dinner.
