Was here earlier today for lunch. The last time I came here they were on point with everything but since then it has only gone down hill. The side were poorly seasoned, especially the kimchi, the other side consisted of pickled beets I think, which I had no issue with but the last side was chopped Vienna sausage in red pepper… really disappointing. The miso soup lacked both portion size and flavor, being really watery. The main dish I ordered was the pork cutlet, which tasted dry and had very little flavor besides a small amount of American BBQ sauce they provided on the side. Staff was nice and the place was clean, but I come to restaurants to eat not look around. So I’ll come back in a couple months and hope that by then they will have fixed these issues.

Excellent korean restaurant. I dined here with a friend a little over a week ago and just now realized I never put up a review for it. Unfortunately, I do not remember exactly what we had and there is not a current menu available as far as I can see. I remember being very impressed with the fried mackerel that came with my seafood and tofu soup. The mackerel was juicy and coated in a thin, crisp crust that I loved. I also remember having some sort of fried appetizer sampler that was fantastic as well. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful but give them a try. I’m sure you’ll love them.

I got the beef bulgogi bibambp. It was probably the worst I’ve ever had. Not enough meat or veggies and 90% rice. The sauce wasn’t spicy at all and was probably just gochujang from a bottle. Maybe my standards are high but there’s better places in Denton for Korean food.

Hmmmm. Wanna say sth different. I’m not trying to be mean, but just wanna say what I experienced. Actually this is the best Korean restaurant in Denton, but don’t understand why it has changed the ownership 4 times in 6 years. Yesterday I walked into around 12. Not many ppl there at that time. I made an order and more ppl came in 10 mins later. I waited for at least 30 mins(yep, 30 mins) and finally I saw someone put my order on the tray from the kitchen, but it was picked up by another customer who made order later than me. So I asked the guy(the owner) where’s my food? He said it will be ready soon. Well, after 5 mins. I got my food. But, no side-dishes, just the food I ordered and miso soup on the tray. So I asked may I have some sided dishes just like others have? He said yes, but still busy working on sth else. Another five mins, I asked again, may I have some side dishes? He said yes yes. And still, nothing. So… I just stood there, felt very embarrassed. I understand at that time he was busy, but I’m also a customer and I made my order 40 mins earlier. Are you kidding me? Sounds like a joke. But it happened to me. The food tasted not bad, but the experience there was so bad.

Some of the best Korean food I’ve had the pleasure of eating. Beef bulgogi was amazing. The tofu soup was also really tasty. This restaurant is unassuming, but definitely worth it.

I love the taste! The owner kept the place open late for me and my squad! Even as the last employee left he kindly said bye. I got the dumplings and they hit the spot. Also the décor is really nice. They will give vegetarian broth for the stew if you request it(possibly tastes better than non vegetarian broth). My squad got bibimbap and they all love it. Highly recommend –Boba 5

Me and my friends were driving back from OKC, and needed a pit stop to eat and found this hole-in-the-wall place on Unilocal. We ordered sizzling bimbop and beef bulgogi and japchae. Food was delicious!!! Czen was super sweet and welcoming from the very beginning helping us order since it was our first time there. He also made us complimentary Korean coffee after we ate! How awesome is that! It was very yummy and on the sweet side. Before we left, Czen introduced us to his cute wife. Very nice couple and very welcoming Korean place and very good food! Order the sizzling bimbop! Now we know where to have our pit stop every time we pass by!

Walking here from the UNT campus this little restaurant is pretty good. For 8 dollars I really got more than I expected. I ordered the eagle box with spicy chicken which was good but not exactly memorable. The chicken came with rice, a side salad, Kimchi, fish cake, a small bowl of soup broth, fruit, and various tempera such as shrimp, onion and a dumpling. The typical Korean sides. Out of everything I really enjoyed the kimbap my friend ordered for around 4 dollars though. It was simple, cheap, and hit the spot. I’d definitely return for the kimbap or to try something else on the menu.

We had no idea this place was here, but are avid korean food enthusiasts. This is authentic everyday korean food. The owners were very nice and the food was great. We will be back as often as we can.

The interior is nothing special, but the food is great! I have been here twice and both times, the food were spot on. If it was closer to where I live, I would probably go to this little restaurant every week. The service was slow, but decent enough. Actually, there is also the younger Korean lady who didn’t give off a very friendly vibe and I never saw her crack a smile compared to the friendlier older Korean woman. The prices are a little pricier than other Korean restaurants I’ve been to, but I think that’s the only Korean restaurant near UNT, so it doesn’t matter much.

This place is really tasty! My husband got the beef bulgogi and fried seaweed rolls and he loved it. I ordered the spicy chicken eagle box, which is a bento box with your main course, side salad, miso soup, tempura mix that consisted of one clamari ring, one piece of acorn squash, one dumpling one piece of shrimp, plus in the next section a small sampling of kimchi, fruit salad and like an egg frittata. If you want variety get an ‘Eagle box’ but if you want more of a main course meat and rice the bulgogi is delicious! Last time I went I got the sizzling bibimbop, it is really good too, it is a large variety of vegetables and rice with a sesame seasoning and your choice of protein with a cooked egg one top. It came with traditional Korean sides. The couple who owns the place are very warm and kind. We definitely will keep coming back.

Heading up to OKC and needed to grab some lunch en route. Found this place on Unilocal and decided to try it based on the reviews. Wow! So glad we did! This place is authentic! This is a hole in the wall joint next to a gas station right on the UNT campus. It is simple and nothing special inside, but the food is spectacular! I ordered the bibimbop, my husband had the pork and our friend had the bulgolgi. The dishes come with the traditional Korean sides. There is one gal working the counter where you order and the chef cooks your meal after you order. It takes time, but seriously worth it. There were several Korean patrons, always a good sign! If you want good authentic Korean food in a casual environment, this place is it.

I love this place! The bulgogi beef is amazing, if you’re looking for the closet korean restaurant, this place is it. They are a little high on price to be close to a college campus, but it’s not bad at all. The sides that they give you are small, but you can always ask for more. I got the sizzling bibimbap, which is my all time favorite. Tip: don’t mix your rice immediately, give it about a good 4 – 5 minutes to get crispy rice :)

I used to go to this restaurant often since they served two sides of kimchi for me. If they are afraid of people to have dishes, they should have not opened a restaurant. Right now, I only go to H-mart when I want to eat Korean food.

The menu here has changed since the last time I went, it now appears they have begun serving sushi. The food was excellent, though the menu has been given a trim and my beloved bibimbap only comes in beef or tofu versions now. My husband ordered his usual bulgogi bento. We used to get a little side of dashi with our panchan and didn’t this time, nor did any of the other diners have any, I am hoping that was a one-time thing and they haven’t stopped serving it, it’s pretty much my favorite thing ever and its absence made this a 4 star instead of 5 star visit for me.

Nice place, decent Korean food, a little slow service tho. Talking about service, it also depends. The guy seems to be nice, but the girl is not that cool.

I got a sizzling hot pot bibimbap to-go from here and was pleasantly surprised. The tofu was nice and firm and the flavor of rice and sauce was very good. The fried egg on top was a bit overdone but I did get my food to go and didn’t eat it till about 30 mins later, so part of the fault could have been mind. Overall, I was pleased with this meal and will be going back for more.
