Ordered takeout: bun w/lemongrass pork and lettuce veggies, fish sauce and traditional egg rolls. I think my order was around $ 12, which was a bit high IMO. This is Denton after all so I had very low expectations. It was surprisingly good! The ingredients were fresh, the pork was not greasy/fatty, but actually pretty well prepared & flavorful. If you’re hungry & craving vietnamese food, this will tide you over.

This is one of my favorite resturants in Denton! The location is very small and on a one way street so just make sure you keep your eye out for the little green building!!! My go to dishes here is the Steak Phở and their Viet Bites Sampler! Their Phở is super tasty and I really like how they give you a lot of bean sprouts on the side! The Viet Bites Sampler is great if you’re not craving for something hot! I don’t usually like peanut butter sauce but for some reason I cannot get enough of the one from here! And their springrolls are to die for as well! For some reason I always crave Phở on rainy days so this location is the perfect spot! If you order take-out you can just drive up to the side of the building and get your order that way. instead of walking out of your car!

Please do not think that this is what a bowl of phở is. 1) it should not cost 12 dollars for a large bowl of noodles with only a couple slices of meat. 2) You should not have to pay extras to get lime and vegetables 3) you do not take a bag of insta-phở and then sell it at a restaurant. if I wanted that, I would have gone to the asian market and got me a bunch of insta phở and made it better. Broth was completely bland. little to no meats, no vegetables… and you charge 12 dollars? Can’t believe I let you guys take my money. Please just close this shop down.

Phở is legit! Best around for sure. Came back for lunch and had the banh mi pork and it was delicious. That homemade Viet mayo is so good that I could just eat that with the bread. Vb tacos were a great appetizer. Thai tea was good. Will be back.

Obviously awesome. Love the rotisserie chicken phở. So fresh and filling for a soup. Decently priced for the quantity.

Best Phở around the area for sure. Create your own combo and it’s really good. We usually order the large and split along with a couple of appetizers. New patio should be nice when weather cooperates. Great local spot. The food is wonderful, but it does take a little while to get your entrees just heads up. Service does need help, seem to have a new server every time we go and it could definitely be more consistent, attentive.

Food was authentic and savory. The portions were phenomenal and service was very pleasing consisting how bustling this place is. There are many tasty options for vegetarians. Their tofu is firm with good flavor! The sweet and sour sauce on the bun bowl was fantastic! I will be back!

One of my favorite restaurants! The restaurant itself is very small but has a great patio. Patio is small as well, but has a nice feel to it. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. They are usually busy but always do a great job checking on you and getting whatever you need Now for the food! We always start out with the tofu fries. By far the best tofu I have had. The are fried and seasoned perfectly. They are the perfect thickness for eating tofu and come with quite a few. When I become sad that my tofu fries plate has become empty, out comes a very large banh mi sandwich. The bread is always fresh and delicious. I get the lemongrass tofu and it is so good. Watch out for their jalapeños though because they will bite you back. The kimchi is delicious and goes perfectly with the sandwich. They also bring you chips with the sandwich. This is definitely one of my favorite little places to eat. It is great every time! Some day I will actually try the phở, but their sandwiches are so good it’s hard to try anything else.

I’ve been coming here for quite awhile, but I’m about to give up on them. I give their Phở a 4, BUT — they almost *never* have fresh basil. So frustrating — how can you always be out of a key Phở ingredient?

Love this place!!! Just moved to denton and needed my phở fix and this place was it. The traditional roll with shrimp and pork is great also. Small place but friendly people. Going back weekly to get my fix.

This was a good experience. It would have been better if I had someone to share it with in person, but lucky you, I get to share it with you now. I came in and was greeted right away, the door I came in faces the street side and the register is right there. They handed me a menu and told me I can sit anywhere and they would come take my order. This was my first time to this location and I liked that. I sat and got to take my time going through the menu, even though I had a taste for some chicken curry before I came. The waitress was really friendly and helpful. She said they had daily specials and asked if I wanted to hear them. This was different, usually they tell you without the choice. But yes I wanted to hear them. And surprisingly Curry Stew was one of my options. I knew I like this place. I ordered two of the traditional spring rolls and my stew was brought to me at a hot temperature so it did not cool off quickly, makes eating slower but I enjoy it longer. I love getting my hot food hot. They let me substitute the bread for some Phở noodles(no extra charge), and the spring rolls were made fresh upon ordering, not sitting around. YUM I ordered a Shiner Bock to drink and was informed they were out, but the waitress knew what alternative options to suggest and I tried the Ziegen Bock Amber Beer, it was good too. The waitress was great, making my experience a 4 ½. The reason I did not give a 5 is because this was my first time, and I need to make sure I get the great food and service each time before I upgrade my stars.

Part 1. It was Wednesday August 12th, 2015 in Dallas .The temperature heated up to 100 degree during the day, burning hot !!! This is the day that I got to remember cause it could turn my life to a completely new journey .;-) Oh well, let cut it short here. We all were so mentally & physically tired after a long trial at the court, my friends still need to drive back to Carrolton to get some paper works to submit on the same day as the judge requested. I decided to hang around and wait for them to get back(It’s around 2 hours round trip). My energy was draining out so I need to fill up. I found«Viet Bites«is a closest Asian food in this area and wasn’t too bad with 3 and a half star .;-) I remembered the old time in Vietnam when I went to the beach outside of the city, we used to stop by some restaurants on the side road. This place just look like that .;-) There’s some benches outside with patio over and bamboos were planted around, very cute though. The inside interior decoration were very intersting. Some of traditional music equipments were hang up to the wall, very cozy and very so Viet. I was greeted by a very friendly & attentive Mexican waiter. It was already a warm feeling for the first time here.;-) Started up the the drinks, I got my «Thai Iced tea«for refreshing. I’m glad cause it tastes like normal thai tea, nothing is special about it. Vietnamese ice milk coffee(Caphe sua da) took a little longer(in traditional way which I like), I tried it in the end and it was ok as well, not that woohoo. !! Ordered a bowl of Phở(as usual). Oh no, it was so salty and blank. It kept me wondering if it was cooked by Vietnamese’s chef or Mexican .;-). Trust me, my homemade Phở isn’t as good as my Mom but I’m sure it’s better than this. I ordered«Special Sampler Plate«which come with 4 different kind of appetizer(Spring roll, Egg roll, Fried dumbling & Crispy shirmp cake). Darn, I just can eat spring roll & egg roll. I didn’t like the cheese filling of the dumbling and shirmp cake wasn’t my favorite. I feel like I’ve ordered all the wrong foods this time. I looked around and noticed that there’s mostly Non-Vietnamese people here. They all seem to pretty much enjoyed their foods .;-) Maybe that’s a reason why or they just had different or right order .;-) Umm. My experience about the foods here wasn’t that great but I gave 3 star to the friendly customer service and the overall image of this place has brought me back to good memories. I’m not coming back here, not because I dislike the food, just I have no reason at this given time since my hometown in California, lol. But I’ll keep«Viet Bites«in my heart .;-) FYI: my stomach wasn’t happy and still half empty .;) This is just a part 1 of my day. Stay tune for part 2. Coming soon.;-)

I stopped in with a friend of my daughters, who is attending UNT. The restaurant is tiny. The wait staff all appeared Asian, which lends an atmosphere of credibility. Restaurant was ok clean, needed to be dusted out in some corners if you follow my drift. But not unacceptable. The food was cheap, which is nice. The bowl of phở with thin sliced steak was average and nice, I’ve had many and this wasn’t the best, but got the job done. Also had spring rolls, which were tasty. Simple place, simple concept, simple healthy food at a reasonable price. Needs to do some deep cleaning and work on the phở recipe to pull more marrow from the bone to make the flavor richer in my opinion. Recommended.

One of my favorite places in town, by far! This place has so many creative dishes, and a secret menu with incredible specials. I get so many delicious vegan dishes here that they don’t advertise. Definitely try the Cantonese noodle and curry noodle dishes. They will even make these gluten free if you ask. Very accomodating, super friendly staff. Can’t get better Vietnamese or vegan food anywhere.

The broth in the beef phở is obscenely good. The kid size phở is still huge, but stripped down to just meat, noodles, and broth. Which is the only way my kiddo will eat it, anyway. The spring rolls are stuffed with shrimp and pork and delicious. The shrimp chips were a little stale, but that is the extent of my complaints. This place was real laid back and the food was cheap and delicious. Fuck yea, viet bites.

I’m not really a fan. Went here to try phở for the very first time and I was utterly disappointed. I didn’t know what good phở was supposed to taste like, but I for sure knew that it wasn’t supposed to taste like oily water. That was the first and last time I had that dish at viet bites. Their bahn mi’s are decent! A little over priced(around $ 6 when the standard price is about $ 3.50), but I’d still pay with no complaints to have one for lunch. I get the chicken bahn mi with avocado and then splash some fish sauce on dat hoe. soooo good~ The spring rolls are good as well. There are some sanitary issues going on. The workers do not use gloves to prepare the spring rolls(gross). I’ve witnessed them. So beware of that. To be on the safe side, watch them make the spring rolls. Make sure they’re using barriers or clean hands.

I’ve been here a couple times only bc this is the only Vietnamese restaurant in Denton. First time here I tried beef phở. It was plain. I had to put lots of fish sauce in it. Second time I ordered chicken phở to be safe. I knew VietBite is not authentic Vietnamese restaurant but you can’t really mess up with chicken phở. Surprisingly, they did. The broth tasted weird and bad. Today I went in to try their banh mi. I stood in front of the cashier and witnessing they making spring rolls. The girl just finished a transaction(counting money) and then immediately started making spring rolls without washing her hands… The banh mi wasn’t bad but for some reasons, I didn’t like it. The service wasn’t nice either. Don’t think I will be back!

Okay so I went for lunch today to try the phở and boba. Their thai tea boba cost me $ 3.50 and is BAD. They use fresh brewed herbal tea in their boba, which is nice to know but not very nice to DRINK when there are a LOT of herb grinds floating in your boba that are really unpleasant because you can feel them in your teeth and throat after each sip. Its like they straight up didn’t filter at all. On top of the nasty herb grinds, the thai tea itself was waaaay watered down. I was offered to have another drink made. I asked for a taro smoothie. Good GOD was it sweet. It was just… I mean I know most boba places use powders for flavoring, but the flavor was off the charts artificial. Like imagine 2⁄3 taro flavoring powder and 1⁄3 crushed ice. SUPER nasty. Ended up throwing it away because ugh it was so gross… Now for the phở. Cost me around $ 8. It wasnt BAD, but I was pretty surprised to be served phở without green onions on top. That was a first. The broth could’ve used some green onions because it was a little flavorless and was too oily. Phở broth is supposed to be «cleaner» than that. My total was about $ 13 and boy did I feel ripped off. $ 13 for nasty boba and oily phở? Screw that, man. Never ordering either of these things again. The only reason why I gave this place two stars is because their banh mi is pretty decent.

Decided to pop-by since I passed it on the way to school. Parking is kinda tight, so be careful when pulling in. Upon walking in I walked to the register and looked at the menu, they have it located on the top wall or they have ones in a bin on the left of the register. If you’re dinning in and not taking out then sit down at a table and they will serve you(confused I walked in an ordered at the register). I ordered a avocado smoothie with boba and a vermicelli noodle bowl with lemongrass pork. The avocado smoothie was pretty standard, not the best i’ve had but also not bad, i’d order it again. The high light of the vermicelli bowl was the deep fried jalapeños. They were great! I usually don’t eat jalapeños, but these were deep fried an not too spicy, I gobbled them up quickly. The other vegetables in the bowl were pretty standard. The lemon grass pork was a bit more charred than I usually like my pork, but it had good flavor. The noodles were cold and undercooked, I didn’t enjoy them so I say stray away from them. The service was great, my server was attentive and helpful. I noticed that a lot of people ordered to-go and take away, it seems that this place is geared more towards that kind of food. I noticed that they have a pick up window, but I didn’t see anyone actually drive up to pick up anything in it. Another thing to note is that they served my avocado smoothie in a glass, so if you are prone to not finishing your boba drink I think it would be beneficial to ask for it in a plastic cup. Not sure if I’d come back, the food was pretty pricy for mediocre vietnamese food, but there don’t seem to be many vietnamese choices near campus.

I’ve been here twice and have been very happy with the service, atmosphere, and food. I always order the Vietnamese tacos and they are amazing!(Not sure if featured on menu) The prices are high, no doubt about it, but the food is very fresh and comes in large portions. Some foods are more spicy than indicated but everything is very flavorful. Can’t wait to come back!
