There is no better place to be on a hot summer day than waterworks! We have bought season passes the last two years and love it. There are numerous large water slides for bigger kids and adults. One is actually pretty scary! There is a huge play area for the little ones with plenty of lifeguards so that you feel it’s OK to take your eye off for a minute. Then there is a really cool lazy river that my kids would spend the entire day in. Again there’s plenty of lifeguards to make sure everybody’s OK. They have plenty of tubes if you would like to ride in the lazy river. There are lots of tables and chairs to relax on. Usually by 1 o’clock it’s pretty full so I would recommend going early to get a table. One of the best things about the waterpark is that you can bring your own food, just no glass. We always take our lunch and have a picnic. It is always super clean. Lifeguards are always really friendly. It’s just a really great place to go!

I have spent more time in the pool in the last 3 weeks than I have in years and years and years. I see a trend emerging here! Last weekend, one of my grandchildren had his birthday parties at this water park. Great place. Good party. The park is a City-run facility. The birthday party package comes with pizza and cake, both cooked by local non-franchise businesses. The staff person who supervised our party was funny and friendly, qualities that aren’t always present at other birthday-party-venues. The park has a long Lazy River as well as a large choice of adventure slides. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had a pretty large group of young children going down the water slide. The staff at the top of the slide did a great job signaling the staff person at the bottom when one of the children needed to be caught at the bottom before hitting the pool.

This old water lover goes every time she gets a chance!!! I go even if I have to borrow a kid.(or not) Discount coupons can be found at Sonic and in the Denton Record Chronicle newspaper. The Lazy River is GOOD mental health, just wish there would be one for tubing adults and one for kids water-fighting and screaming, but then I’m a tax-payer so what do I know? OR they could alternate hours for kids and adults on occasion. Also wish they’d repair the water fountains, misters, bubblers that no longer work. Maybe city-owned wasn’t such a bright idea after all.

For a small-town water park, this is a great place. It only costs $ 12 for Detnon residents(I believe it’s a few dollars more for non-residents) and it’s a few dollars cheaper if you go a few hours before it closes. It only has 4 slides, but they’re all worth it. A big yellow slide that’s a few stories high and slightly fightening and gives you a wedgie on the way down… you can’t get much better than that. And it’s never really too crowded. I think I waited maybe 4 – 5 minutes to go on a slide, at the most.

Believe it or not this is the first water park I’ve ever been to. I’m not a big fan of hanging ot in my swimsuit in front of a bunch of strangers, but this place was fun! They have 4 water slides a lazy river and a smaller pool for little kids. I went with my roommate and we had a blast. Plus we got waved in for free, which was nice. It only costs $ 12 for Denton residence which is not to bad for a day of fun!
