First time here. Adorably cute spot. Fun colored décor. Very clean. Taster cups are pink! You get to choose from eight different colors of spoons. Two sizes of containers. Solid standard flavor choice selection. Extremely right on and accurate flavors! Temperature of product is sufficiently cold. Nice topping selection, although no walnuts. Loyalty rewards a big plus. I will absolutely return to this dandy of a find.

Walked in today to buy a gift card. Sadly, the only person working had no idea how to issue a gift card, check the balance of the gift card or refund our money when after 10 minutes we still couldn’t verify the gift card we paid for had a balance. We were including this in a birthday gift basket and ended up having to go somewhere else to complete our present. Realizing, after checking my bank, they had charged me for the gift card we included it in our basket only to receive a phone call 2 hours later that they’d refunded me the money and cancelled the gift card we’d already included in our present. The manager is a joke and said the only thing he could do was allow me to drive back up there and purchase another gift card. Consumerism and Service Recovery escapes this place. And, my girls wanted the coconut yogurt which came out in liquid form. Never been a fan and never will be.

The lady who works there is so polite and kind hearted. Everything there is fresh and extremely clean. For a sweet treat, I was surprised how little I had to pay(close to a candy bar price). I don’t write reviews but I feel like the people here deserve something for how kind they are to their customers.

The consistently bad smell, expensive price, and rude management will make me hesitate to return to this store. I was amazed recently that it could like feces and nose burning cleaner at the same time. The yogurt still tastes ok, so I would just get my yogurt to go. However, the final straw came the Friday of Mother’s day weekend. I received a text coupon for 15% off and went there to use it. They rudely pointed out that it was for the 288 store and snidely told me «besides its not even Saturday» but actually the coupon did include Friday. This was also the close of teacher appreciation week as well as Mother’s day weekend. So I felt doubly snubbed and felt they missed out on both advertising opportunities. I pulled out my reward card I had been working on for the past year missing only 2 stamps and asked if they plan to honor it. They told me those were discontinued when the new management took over. After I made a fuss they offered to give me 25% off my next order. This new management is taking advantage of a loyal customer base that someone else built up and yet have no appreciation for these customers or honoring the previous rewards offered them through this business. This new management should take on the burden of honoring the previous reward system as well as inserting an already established customer base. They are more concerned about their bottom line than courtesy, customer service or honor. Hopefully they learn some of these things soon. If they are at least friendly one could more easily overlook the overpowering smell of cleaning solution, stale sprinkles, difficult to read digital screens, expensive price and stingy sample policy. Not sure I’ll be back until it changes hands again.

New owners have improved on the place. Much friendlier, cleaner, and the nutritional information is posted clearly and consistently for each yogurt. Toppings were fresh. Docking one star because one of their yogurt machines was not dispensing yogurt at all, but this is far from a travesty. Yogurt tastes the same, so if you were never a fan to begin with, try another place.

The yogurt here is great. I did a half and half cup with toasted coconut and salted carmel pretzel. The coconut had a very strong taste(which was creamy and heavenly), and I could taste the coconut oil that was put into it. The salted caramel pretzel yogurt was just as addicted. Sprisingly, I finished my entire bowl, which I rarely do at yogurt places. The girl behind the counter was friendly. When I asked for samples, she handed me three cups and let me do my own pouring.

First went to this location last year and it was great. Have noticed more recently that there has been some new paint, new furniture, new faces, and new bad habits. DIRTY!!! Tables look as if they were cleaned with a dirty rag, trash can overflowing, and yogurt machines filthy. If they don’t care any more about what the partition see I’d hate to see what it looks like in the back. Been there twice in 2 weeks only to see the exact same thing both times. I won’t be back.

If you’ve ever seen the Eddie Murphy movie, «Coming to America,» then you’ll get my comparison of this place to McDowell’s. If you haven’t seen the movie — I recommend it — one of my favorite comedy films of all time. My mom and I are long-time fans of Yogurtland and when she recently moved to Denton, she lamented that there were no Yogurtland locations there. I had remembered seeing some sort of yogurt joint not far from where she lived, so we did a drive-by to reconnoiter. This place is the McDowell’s of Yogurtland. A complete(albeit poor) photocopy of Yogurtland, down to the curved wall with the green tiles. I honesty don’t know how they don’t get sued by Yogurtland. Their cups are of poorer quality, their spoons are of poorer quality and the temperature isn’t quite right on the frozen yogurt — comes out almost brittle because it’s so cold… but it’s otherwise quite flavorful. They don’t have the incredible flavor offerings available at Yogurtland, but it is definitely adequate when compared to a 45 minute drive to the closest Yogurtland location. Their toppings are fresh and the staff is kinda friendly. They have a snooty vibe about them… hard to pin it down — almost like I’m too low brow to walk into their place. Makes me feel like Pretty Woman shopping in Beverly Hills kind of a vibe… although I don’t have the figure of Julia Roberts. Sigh. Yet I digress. My favorite Yogurtland flavor is the plain tart — and the plain tart at Yogurt Story is just as good. I add pop boba, kiwi, strawberries, blackberries, almonds and I’m golden. I always have to ask for spoons — which is stupid… and when I’m obviously getting items to go, I always have to ask for a bag. My mom asked me to pick up a couple of large cups for her the way she likes the stuff prepped on my way to her house — so I’m struggling with 3 cups the last time I was there — two for her, 1 for me. Mine is prepared in a totally different way than hers — and there is no way a sane person would assume that 1 person is getting three cups for themselves… not to mention, it’s nearly impossible to manage to carry three of these successfully. I struggled to get these to the scale and had to ask for lids, then had to ask for a bag. It’s like they are too busy looking down their nose at you to realize they should ask you, «do you need a to-go bag?» They do have new flavors on occasion — but nothing amazing like Flan or Irish Crème like they’d have at Yogurtland. Still — for Denton, it’s a decent joint. When I’m going to Denton to visit my mom, she always asks, «Can you swing by McDowell’s for me?» It’s a big family joke now — because the place is definitely an attempt to copy the entire business model of Yogurtland… if I owned a Yogurtland franchise, I would be really angry about this place — but as a customer, it’s a win.

There was only one tart yogurt the day I went, but I was able to add some fresh delicious looking fruits to complete my yogurt cup. My niece had hers blended into a smoothie, I’ve never heard of that so I thought it was pretty cool! I taste treated the salted caramel & strawberry, strawberry tastes just like regular ice cream in my opinion & salted caramel reminded me of a Starbucks Frappuccino, yummy!

They offer more flavors than most shops in Denton. Toppings too. Wish prices were lower. We paid $ 6.50 for two small cups with minimal nut topping.

The yogurt is pretty standard, as it doesn’t blow my mind or anything. What makes this place weird is that you aren’t allowed to do the sampling yourself. You have to wait for the worker behind the desk to come around the corner and stand there while you think about what flavor you’d like to try. I could understand doing this for little kids, but as an adult it just ends up being awkward. I’d rather go up the street and sample yogurt on my own.

Staff is very unfriendly. Sample cups are no longer offered at this location so it is very awkward to beg for a sample. You have to ask for a cup and she doesnt explain that she has to serve the sample, she merely walks around to the yogurt and asks what you want to try. 1 sample per customer. VERY uncomfortable because she isnt friendly or smile through the entire process. PLUS if you wish to limit your customers… play it off as giving extra customer services and providing the sample… I felt like a yogurt theif. I enjoy the flavors but HATE the treatment. Will never go back.

Favorite yogurt place in town, by far. They have the best variety of options — my favorite is the salted caramel! Their employees are great about being friendly, offering samples, and answering questions. They also keep the toppings section really clean — very appetizing! They also support Mean Green UNT! Woot!

I always find a flavor of Yogurt here that I like. The toppings are always fresh and plentiful. The only reason I did not give Yogurt Story 5 stars is because: 1. They do not provide changing tables in their bathrooms. As a parent this is incredibly inconvenient. 2. They should offer a child sized cup for yogurt. I usually bring my 2 year old with me and I end up sharing with him because I feel like it would be a waste to put a drop of yogurt in one of those giant bowls but I don’t always want to share food with my kid.

Drove all the way up there and the web site said that they stay open till 1030. Straight up10 o’clock the sign was off and girl was mopping. Not very good business if you ask me. If you are not open that late then y’all need to specify yoour correct store hours on the website and on the door. The doors hours were missing numbers. Together story off university drive is poorly run. Very dissappointed.
