We used 2020 Storage while we lived downtown as we thought it would be convenient. The location was close but halfway through our two years there they changed access hours and removed all after-hours access. Having to go only when the office is open left very few options for us to access our things outside of our work hours. When we first moved in we had a unit along the parameter. One day in winter we went to get something out and discovered a white chalky sludge had dripped down on our things. Turns our this was a known issue due to winter road run-off. They were very apologetic and let us move to an interior unit but it was up to us to clean everything and if anything had been ruined we would have had to file a claim against our insurance. We are moving out of downtown so we moved out of the storage unit on April 30, 2016. We left everything clean and closed everything with the manager on site. He said to expect the refund for our access card deposit in about 2 weeks. Six weeks later and still no refund. I’ve been trying to contact the facility to find out when to expect the refund and can’t get a solid answer. The on-site management was always very friendly but overall we’ve had a very poor experience, mainly due to the ownership. I would be very wary to trust this storage facility.

I used this storage facility while moving into a loft in the area. We had some issues just trying to coordinate meeting one of their staff members to get us a unit yet we paid little concern. Weeks later when we had a moving truck with the main bulk of our furniture they were nowhere to be found and no answer on their posted phone numbers. This was specifically planned during the posted limited hours which wasn’t the most convenient in the first place. I ended up having to rent the box truck for three days and negotiate moving the furniture in before our closing date all while never hearing from 2020 Storage. After getting moved in a number of weeks later I found the doors open to the storage facility with no staff yet numerous homeless hanging out in the actual facility. I immediately cleared our unit of the initial items we moved in there months prior. Later the neighbors of here told me that this isn’t even a legit storage company and is government funded to allow homeless to store personal belongings. Now living here in the area and witnessing others sitting in front of the building with moving trucks on phones trying to get let in or to get stuff they have stored there I am blown away that this is legal. I have heard stories that bums or others who have access to the facility basically live there and mist recently due to having a bike stolen from the garage above it was suggested that I check down there and there is a ton of signs posted all over the entrance specifically stating to not sleep there.

I’m really happy with the decision to store my things here. I’m commuting with work for a year and I obviously wanted to make sure I chose a place where my possessions would be safe. The facility is clean, well maintained and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that my needs were accommodated. Reasonably priced and for being downtown it’s as convenient as it gets. I’ll definitely repeat if I need to in the future.
