My go-to breakfast burrito on a hungover Saturday. Super good grub. Bring cash as it’s a cash-only establishment.

Stopped in for the first time so we could try out a neighborhood restaurant. Turns out I recognized the owner, who sold burritos, drinks and chips on the Mall for years! He and the young man with him were both very friendly. We got two burritos Azteca with the hot green chile. They were made while we waited, so everything was hot and fresh. Our food actually looked like the menu picture! And man, it was delicious! Some of the steak was a bit chewy for me, but the burrito was still great. I have to go through the rest of their menu. Food — excellent Service — excellent Price — excellent We’ll be back!

This place has some of the best breakfast burritos around, especially in Northeast Denver. The price is awesome and you get a massive burrito. The hot chile is perfectly spicy. Occasionally I spring for the Azteca burrito, which is my go to serious hangover cure. Spicy, cheesy, with tons of rice and chile. The tamales are also really great for the price. The only thing I wish is that they were open on Sundays. But, I guess the owner does need a day off. He’s a great guy and is there six days a week.

The gold standard of breakfast burritos in Denver tends to be Santiago’s — and for good reason. Their burritos are as delicious as they are reliable, they’re reasonably priced at $ 2(though that price has finally hiked a bit) and they have the process of serving the masses every morning down to a science. Now let me tell you why I believe 3 Girasoles not only meets but exceeds those high standards. While their ingredients are similar, 3 Girasoles’ homemade tortillas, so crucial to any burrito, are flat-out better than Santiago’s. And unlike Santiago’s, which has a rotating meat menu out of necessity so their burritos can be pre-made, you pick your meat(or choose no meat), cheese or no cheese and hot or mild at 3 Girasoles. Plus, because they are such a smaller operation, 3 Girasoles fries up your breakfast burrito right in front of you. And last but certainly not least, 3 Girasoles has perfected their breakfast burrito size and price. Unlike Santiago’s, where I feel one $ 2 breakfast burrito isn’t enough but two feels like too much, 3 Girasoles’ appropriately-priced $ 3 breakfast burritos are the perfect marriage of size and price. Every Colorado neighborhood deserves a breakfast burrito joint as good as this one. I’m stoked mine has 3 Girasoles, and I’d love to invite you to venture off the beaten path to come check it out!

I had the tacos. Al pastor with diced onions, cilantro and a lime. Inexpensive, light and delicious. The owner seems to be a really nice guy. I’ll be back.

Been there quite a few times and the food has always been amazing. The last two times I went however were a different story. The breakfast burritos were really runny and the meat was scarce. The flavor was definitely off. The worst part is that my brother and I both got an upset stomach after eating there this last time. I’m not sure what has changed but there was a different person there than is usually cooking. Like I said before, this place was really good, but lately that’s not the case. I will try again in hopes that this was just a fluke but if it’s not better I probably won’t be back…

Best breakfast burritos in the Clayton and surrounding areas, especially for the price. Everything else I’ve gotten has been delish too. Owner said the are expanding this year to allow for lots of «dine in» space

For me, it’s all about their flour tortilla. It’s … gooier(?) in texture than you’ll find at most Mexican restaurants. Burritos are usually portable because the tortilla is firm enough to hold up the weight of the contents. Not theirs… and it’s awesome. The texture of their tortillas was reminiscent of mochi… just a little gooey in texture with less of a flour taste. Smothered burritos run at $ 6 or without sauce at $ 3.50 and less. The burritos are medium/large sized and come with a meat(carne asada, chicken, al pastor, chicharonnes, egg) and a carb(beans or potatoes). Lettuce, sour cream, and other extras cost more. I’ve had their taqueria tacos and they’re were packed with meat with a sprinkling of onion and cilantro. I recommend the al pastor if you like flavor without a lot of heat. Their hot sauce was bleh… basically made by steeping New Mexico chiles in hot water and then blending it with some salt. No heat and mild flavor.

This tiny, almost hole in the wall, Mexican restaurant was extremely delicious. I had a steak and eggs burrito smothered in green chile. The portions were big, extremely affordable(only $ 4.50 for my smothered steak & eggs burrito), and did I mentioned that it was delicious? The guy serving us was most likely the owner and was the sweetest guy ever. Love seeing a small business do something fantastic.
