How I found a 7Eleven that hasn’t yet been reviewed by John H. astounds me. I suppose it can only be attributed to his absence from Unilocal these days(I miss you, buddy) but hey, one more first-to-review for me so ’tis bittersweet. That said, this is usually the«Sev» that I hit up because it’s somewhere in between to and fro for me. They have gas(usually, if not always, higher than the King Soopers up on Sheridan); they sell 10-lb. bags of ice for $ 2.69. In fact, my most recent stop in was for said ice. All the way in the back corner there, ya’all. And, as with probably every other 7Eleven on the planet, they have Slurpees(no squid flavor like they might have in Japan, though). They have 7Eleven donuts and gas station munchies: chips, candy bars, fruit cups, salads, and sandwiches if you’re feeling more hungry(and bold enough to put your stomach at the mercy of 7Eleven freshpack). Customer service is pretty on-par with any other Sev I’ve been to. Here’s the total. Here’s my money. Thanks very much now get out. I’ve never used the bathrooms here so I can only speculate that one take caution since this location is right off Colfax and next to a bus stop. With that in mind, I’ve also been accosted here while pumping«emergency gas»(you know the $ 2 you throw in until you can get to some place where it’s a few cents less [like the King Soopers up on Sheridan]), so that’s not cool. But that’s not 7Eleven’s fault, so I just try and keep that in mind for what time of the day I might make a visit here. Wee-ish hours of the morning(e.g. the pre-work Sugar-Free Red Bull stop) and mid-day on a Saturday(e.g. the it’s 90 degrees, we have no air conditioning, and our ice maker doesn’t function stop) seem to be okay. Really the only thing that sets this Sev apart from the others is its location. It’s clean enough, and has easy access from Colfax or Perry. Customer service is neutral, but they sell ice and donuts. So I’m sold.(Note: I’ve never actually purchased a donut from this 7Eleven but I’m sure they’re fine.)
