Aaction Movers

We recently had a very poor experience with this company during our out-​of-​state move. Firstly, moving is super stressful and you’re trusting many different people with your personal property. We chose this company from all competitors because we trusted their sales guy, Allen Miller. They were higher priced and I regret our choice in selecting them.
First of all Allen comes to your home and does a survey of your inventory telling you that his company is an affiliate of United and they adhere to certain quality standards (including customer service and standards of performance). Well as soon as you sign on the dotted line with Allen he’s on to the next person and never calls your or checks back in. We had several revisions we wanted to make on our contract and he directed us to our coordinator (Pam Herman) who works out of North Dakota. Well I must have called and emailed her 10+ times and she responded to 2 emails. You can never get her on the phone to speak with you. She doesn’t so much as call you back when you have questions on the time of your move, the status. She also falsified our delivery window in her system entering it a week later than what was on our paperwork. She never apologized or took ownership for that mistake.
Allen will also tell you they don’t «contract out» work well they do. The truck that showed up at our house in Denver to load was a blank white truck with old branding painted over — no branding. (a truck wrap costs maybe $ 3k) 2 guys are associated with the company and 1 looks like they picked him up as a day laborer, they didn’t even know his name and he spoke no English. He wasn’t properly trained on how to lift stuff and I had to stop him from trying to carry our 55″ TV by himself up the stairs. So after these guys load my stuff on ⁷⁄₇ it sits in Aurora in a warehouse until ⁷⁄₁₆. Our coordinator logs the load date as ⁷⁄₁₃ (falsely). Luckily, I’m calling everyday for a status check (to United’s corporate office since Pam doesn’t return phone calls) and I catch the mistake of the load date and delivery window.
Allen will also tell you they don’t «contract out» work well they do. At one point I was told that Aaction couldn’t tell me the status of where our stuff was and that it might have been picked up by YRC. This proves they do contract out to get the cheapest freight cost and our stuff was thrown on the trucks without proper care. When Crown (another United Affiliate) delivered our goods in San Francisco, the delivery guys showed my husband a picture of our load when he picked it up. Stuff was thrown EVERYWHERE, many of our plastic bins were broken, I have 2 missing cartons, a missing tent, and a standing fan in additional to numerous goods broken. When I tried to later contact the delivery guy to get him to send me the picture he said he «deleted it». There’s absolutely no trust or responsibility with any of these guys they all want to make a $ and no one cares about you or your stuff.
In my humble opinion, I’d do the PODS or rent a UHaul. It’s not worth the headache of dealing with liars and human beings that don’t have the decency to tell you the truth or follow up on a phone call. United and Aaction doesn’t care about you or your stuff so don’t be fooled like we were by the sales pitch.
The only person who was helpful throughout all of this was Sandy from United’s corporate office. She was helpful and I found out things from her that I couldn’t get my coordinate, Pam, to respond on. Simple things like time our stuff was being delivered and what the status of the shipment was. Great customer service from Sandy!
I have numerous claims submitted with them for our delayed delivery, damaged & missing items. I guess I have 2 – 3 weeks before they contact me or attempt to resolve any of it. I haven’t received any communication from Pam or Allen to check in after delivery or response on my missing item claims. I will post a follow-​up review in the coming weeks on the status of our move.

We used AAction to move twice. The packing team did well on the surface but the delivery team and subsequent unpacking was below par. OUr brand new home now house 30+ dings in the walls, stairwell and door trim. All the furniture that the moving team unassembled was not fully assembeld upon delivery and now has scratches or is missing hardware. I would not recommend them at all.
