Good service in the past but no flexibility when something changes. Be warned: If you sign the contract there is no going back. Don’t let a bad situation at your house rush into a decision you’ll regret.

DONOTUSETHISCOMPANY!!! I would like to give negative stars. This is a shitty company that overcharges and gives you no recourse. My husband accidentally called this company, thinking it was an LG authorized repair company. Let me assure you it is NOT. The technician that came to the house seemed really nice. He said we probably needed our dryer vent cleaned; it turns out we really didn’t. Called the company back, and we are supposedly going to get a refund for this service in a month and a half?! Now to the shitty part. Dylan the technician said that we needed to replace the drain motor pump on our LG washer and the part is 300, and with labor and the dryer vent cleaning our total bill would be $ 591. He said they needed a down payment on the part, but that people usually just payed the whole bill, so we stupidly did. After finding out he lied about our dryer vent(he looked on the side of the house and said there were cobwebs clogging it, etc., and it turns out the dryer vent is on the roof), I looked up the part online, and the range of prices is $ 56-$ 70. So if you subtract $ 170(we got charged $ 100 for the unnecessary dryer vent cleaning) from $ 591, we are getting charged $ 420 for labor. I called the company, and they told me that they don’t do itemized billing, and they don’t charge for labor by the hour, but that they charge for the entire repair. Huh? This company is fucking horrible. I’m nine months pregnant and we are broke until next payday because of this company. Dylan is supposed to come and fix the washer this afternoon. I have a feeling we are out $ 591, and our washer isn’t going to be fixed. I can’t pack my hospital bag until I do laundry, so this is evermore stressful. Fuck these guys.

My oven started displaying an error code when trying the self clean function. Action Appliance came out and quoted me a price, but that price kept going up as they needed to replace more parts than they originally quoted me for. In the end, after they had replaced all the parts they needed, the oven still did not work – once my tenant suggested that perhaps it was a loose wire, the repairman checked and tightened up the wires – the oven worked fine. I’m not positive we needed to replace any parts at all. I give them 2 stars because at least they were reasonable in giving me a discount on the extra parts(that I probably didn’t need). I’m not sure Action Appliance tried to take more money on purpose, or was just plain not able to effectively troubleshoot the problem in the first place.

Action Appliance is great! We had a problem with our dishwasher the day before we were leaving on a 10 day trip. The door latch was broken and we were concerned that a part would be required that would prevent same day service. I contacted Action Appliance online and got a call back within 20 minutes. A technician came to our house 2 hours later and checked out the problem. He needed a part and contacted the local warehouse. The part was there and the tech left to pick up the part, then returned and fixed the dishwasher that same day. It is rare in my experience that service companies live up to their same day repair claims, but Action Appliance did it with flying colors. I will be a loyal customer from now on.
