Everything about this place is great, except their internet (which is why I came here). If you’re not planning on doing anything online, highly recommended. If you, go elsewhere.

Great place for coffee and hanging out with the sisters! I had the Earl Grey Cambric $ 4, so good! My sisters had the Death Cream, Chai, and Bliss Brew. All were wonderful! Will be back many more times!

Basically, I’m impressed. I’ll jump right to the punchline — their wifi sucks. Everything else is great, but wifi is so important it’s a big let down when 5mbps is the best I’ve ever seen and usually it’s an inconsistent 1mbps. Let’s just say I’m glad I have a personal hotspot. Listening Allegro??? You are so close to perfection!
So far the drinks have been very good. If you are looking for the snootiest coffee in town, I’d still point you two sweet bloom, but if you want a much larger menu, if you like your coffee with things, if you like tasty treats, and even if you want a shot of espresso, you won’t be disappointed.
I mostly drink espresso and cappuccinos these days, but I teethed on mochas and I still enjoy them as a treat. I’d say their mocha is solid to good.
I’ve enjoyed the plain croissants and their rhubarb muffins.
Back to the work situation. I work at coffeeshops 7 days a week, and I like variety. Allegro was smart and put power plugs everywhere. Seating is good. I particularly like the standing height tables. You can sit or stand or switch it up. They just need to fix that wifi!
They have a garage door by the standing tables they open when it’s nice. There is also outdoor seating, and this neighborhood is adorable with several other fun things to do.
Oh, and if you haven’t, you should head over to Allegros website and read their story. Did you know they are owned by wholefoods and is their primary high end house brand? But they started out as a coffee shop in Boulder, and now they are going back to their roots.

This place could end up costing me $ 2,400. Every time I go there almost every chair is filled with somebody with their MacBook so I feel compelled to replace my old MacBook Air with a new MacBook Pro — that’s an expensive cuppa Joe!
But, about Allegro… I’ve been there about a dozen times since there opening day. At first I was very impressed with both the quality of the coffee and the friendly service. Lately however I’ve noticed that the quality of the coffee has been inconsistent (my hubby ordered a simple cup of the daily brew and it was cold) and the service has gone from friendly to indifferent.
The space is beautiful and there are lots of options for casual-​community coffee drinking as well as more private spots for you, your coffee of choice, and your MacBook Pro.

Spacious, clean, modern feel. Chai and mocha latte were pretty good. Next time we will try some of their more adventurous items.

Great setting, next to number of other local shops and eateries. Lots of opens space inside so it never feels too crowded.
Their specialty drinks are great. They are full of flavor that is not overwhelming. Just make sure you’re going with spices you actually like.
As one of reviewers mentioned it — Wifi service is really poor (hence ⁴⁄₅) but it’s not a deal breaker. Will come back for work, school and just to hang out with friends. Once you read the review and get here — put the phone down and enjoy the awesome atmosphere!

Yeah! okay. I like it. This is probably one of the biggest coffee shops i’ve EVER been to. seriously, there is so much seating. The location is awesome! There are a lot of cute restaurants, bars and boutiques around here and there’s a park!
Additional to coffee and tea they sell pastries and some sandwiches, but I just had the coffee. the 16oz latte came out to $ 5 which is pretty standard. It wasn’t too sweet, still tasted like coffee.
I’d come here to study/​work again IF the wifi worked. seriously, such terrible wifi! Be careful if you’re working on something important because the internet will suddenly freeze and quit on you. So i’ll come here just to hang out or read instead :)

Awesome place! Fun/​airy décor, lots of sitting/​work space, very friendly staff, and yummy drinks and treats!

I live down the street from this place and absolutely love it. The coffee is great (in my opinion) & the pastries are BOMB​.Com. It’s a large, bright, and open space. Every barista I’ve had has been kind and helpful. They also have outlets everywhere which is a nice bonus.

Gorgeous light filled space! Tasty coffees and teas. Beautiful hip aesthetic.
And as a side bonus, parents will appreciate the spotless bathrooms with fancy changing tables to boot.

I love black coffee and the quality comes through here. You can taste the fresh roast and the nuances in the coffee. I’m not a coffee snob — but you will taste the difference.
The space is open and modern with a rustic feel. A great place to hang out and do some work or just chat with friends. You won’t feel like someone’s looking over your shoulder or listening in on your conversation.
The only downside — it’s pricey. You get what you pay for but you have to be willing to spend $ 3 minimum on a drip coffee.

All around an A+
This place is amazing, tasty as all heck and has plenty of seating! When I go to a coffee shop, I may be a weirdo, but I go for coffee (not internet, or vibe). I love the options with lavender and vanilla. Only negative is they don’t have size options.

Excellent coffee, beautiful urban environment in a cool urban neighborhood! Great find on our trip out to the mountains.

(Update ⁴⁄₂₆ — stopped in again to have a coffee and try to get some work done. Filling out an important form and internet goes out, data lost! Expect to get NO work done because the Internet is horrible. Many people have left because they can’t log in)

I really want to love this place, the coffee and atmosphere is great.
BUT, I’m giving it LOW stars because the Wi-​Fi situation STINKS! Good luck trying to get any work done. A quarter of your time is spent jumping through internet gateway hoops. This just seems unacceptable for a WholeFoods subsidiary… as if if there’s no other option than to have solid internet connection? I keep saying something, and I keep coming back thinking it will be fixed someday. My girlfriend stopped coming here months ago because she can’t get Wi-​Fi to work on her new Macbook Air. She goes across the street for dependable internet and to get work done. I’ve started to go back across the street, too, more often.
I wish I didn’t have to write this review… I don’t know if I’ll be come back much hereafter. I have 3 other favorite coffee shops and I NEVER run into connection issues. Ugh.
Oh, and some GF pastry options would be nice, too.
PLEASE fix your internet!

Really good coffee and tea. Wonderful pastry. I would appreciate something different for launch, like protein and sugar free snack or meal, it’s just a detail tough.

Unique coffee experience. The coffee was delicious the ambience was one of a kind. Both the borgia and maple cold brew were sensational. The staff was accommodating and the space was spotless. The staff is clearly passionate about your overall coffee experience.

New coffee spot in the neighborhood! It’s huge with a beautiful interior. Super friendly baristas and REALLY delicious baked goods. My Earl Grey latte was perrrrrfect too.

Okay I have been now a several times and am looking for a flaw… and truly the only knock on them is that one of the times they sent me a response to my receipt that was clearly generated by someone that does not know me or work as a barista. so I say let the baristas respond to the comments made through square don’t ruin a good thing… the reason I come back is equal parts food quality and the baristas.

Nice store. Coffee ok but pastries are not fresh and selection is limited. Customer service willing to help fix issues brought to their attention like freshness of baked goods. Even issued a coupon for a complimentary drink. Seems like a very new shop with potential but a steep learning curve ahead.

The service and care that the baristas give to your cup of coffee earns this place a five star rating. I stopped in and as noted in other reviews this place has tons of space. I feel that there could be more seating available for a large place, but it wasn’t too crowded. What was super cool was that the baristas were so friendly and eager to talk coffee. I had a V60 pour over Ethiopian single origin that had the traditional Ethiopian profile (lots of berry notes) but also had a smokiness and creaminess on the finish. The oils coated my tongue and was lingering pleasantly between sips. I also had an Ethiopian variety espresso shot that had more of a citrus punch: very bright green apple and caramel sweetness. More on the sweet side. Both offerings were well made and most importantly made by people who care about it.
Definitely check out the roaster through the glass. The barista said it has a recycled heating system that is more Eco-​friendly than other roasters, which is great to hear. They roast on Mondays and offer whole bean bags for sale. Check out the sample bags at the checkout.
I could see this place being a cool local place to buy fresh beans and get a great cup of coffee. If only I lived in Colorado…

Good vibes all around. Music was awesome. Coffee was great. Super friendly staff. The open and modern architecture was very welcoming and enjoyable to be in. It does get a little crowded so either come early or bring headphones if you want to work quietly.

Allegro, imma let you finish, BUT If you can choose between this chain and the place right across the street that sells great direct trade coffee from small roasters around Denver AND their own homemade burritos and pastries, why would you ever — EVER choose this chain?! I understand this is more of a political statement than a food-​based review, but I think an important part of a business’s quality comes from its contribution to the local community. You’re never going to be personally greeted by the owners at this place like you would across the street. Let’s keep Tennyson Street cool by buying local.

Delicious coconut tea! It gave me the extra energy I needed! The facility is huge; perfect for working or studying for class. I like the fact that they have little standing tables as well as plenty of seating. This is just the place that the street needed to liven it up!

Such a beautiful space. Allergo has been open for less than a month and I have frequented a few times. In addition they have a quirky coffee flight where you can try the brew, espresso, and cold brew of once type of bean. Their mocha was good but the star was their signature drink that has orange undertones. I love this place and can’t wait to see it develop.
And be sure to sign up for their loyality reward program, for every 10 beverages you buy you get the 10^th free.

This is the first freestanding location of Allegro Coffee Co, a craft brand of Whole Foods. They focus on coffees from around the world and also have a selection of teas, pastries and snacks made in house. The place is huge at 4,000 SF with a 30 ft marble coffee counter and original hardwoods and interior brick wall. They even have an in-​store roaster that is enclosed in glass so you can watch while you sip. You can tell all the equipment is top of the line and they have a few offerings that are not your typical including a coffee flight — 1 coffee brewed 3 different ways or if that doesn’t strike your fancy, how about a Borgia which is coffee with chocolate and orange. Already, only one week from opening day, this place has been happily accepted by the Berkeley neighborhood and give’s us a great place to relax with coffee, use the wifi to get some work done (or write this review while drinking a cappuccino heehee), or chat with friends. They offer ample seating — communal tables, one huge round table, window seats, high-​tops, and even some ledges for sipping while standing which I love. Overall, this place has an inviting ambiance with a clean comfortable interior, tons of natural light from the corner location and great coffees. Definitely check this place out and stay a while :)

Great coffee and a great space. Plenty of room to hangout with a group or host a meeting. Wide selection of coffee and teas to keep you coming back for more. The location is great too.
