Altitude Comfort Heating and Air

Called at 945pm on a Friday because I had no heat and the company my condo management works with didn’t respond. Altitude made an appointment for the next morning. Dave arrived early. Determined the problem was the thermostat batteries. Replaced the batteries and programmed the thermostat — charged $ 129. In a few days, thermostat stopped working. I called Altitude 4 times, no return call. Finally I got them on the phone and Dave came out again. This time he determined the whole thermostat had to be replaced and gave me a choice of around $ 200 for the cheaper one or $ 300+ (Can’t remember exactly — could have been more) for a better one, but didn’t tell me what kind they would be or the difference between the two. So, I paid $ 129 for him to replace batteries which didn’t solve the problem, and was then given the choice to pay 200 or 300 more for I don’t know what (He said he wouldn’t charge me *another* $ 129). So, Altitude normally charges $ 200-​$ 300 to replace a thermostat plus $ 129 for the visit? I’m no expert but that seems high. Programmable thermostats start at around $ 30 at Home Depot, and I can select exactly which one I want. I’m heading there now.

After getting very poor service and worse priced from Doctor Fix It, I was very happy to work with Altitude. They were professional, honest, and had great customer service.

I wish I could give a negative-​star review. Our ducts got cleaned yesterday, 12÷28÷15, needed to be done, and upon wrapping up, the duct cleaning company tripped a sensor in the furnace and the pilot would not ignite. The duct cleaning company (Denver Ducts) told me they would pay for a HVAC company to come out and repair it and cover all expenses. Altitude Heating pulled up in their nice van with a seemingly nice guy, Dave, who had all these certification patches on his outfit to «comfort» homeowners. Everything was going great, he got the furnace working again and I was relieved. — Temporarily — Until I was handed the bill. The repair he did fell under level 2 of their «straight forward pricing» which was a $ 589 charge. Now, mind you, the duct cleaning was only $ 350. In shock, I told the HVAC specialist that I’d have to respectfully decline and we’d keep his number if we needed them again. He had been here for a total of 15 minutes, but that was 15 minutes too many, I was required to shell out $ 129 for their service fee– a glorified advisement fee– and he was on his merry way. Feeling helpless I call the furnace company, they tell me they have a warehouse downtown and that the part he was saying was broken was only $ 8.57! $ 8.57!!! I bought the sensor and replaced it myself. If you have a ton of expendable cash and no buyers remorse, this is the company for you, but if you want honest and fair work done, look elsewhere…

These guys are great in customer service but their prices are through the roof. They wanted 980 to replace a blower motor which should only cost 600 max. I’d recommend going elsewhere unless you have cash to burn.

These guys are great. Doug squeezed me in next day after another company fell through and genuinely cared about getting the ac fixed. Dave came out to repair and had me up and running within an hour. Afterwards Doug followed up with me to make sure I was all set. Never have had such great customer service. Will always go to these guys for any work.

Dave is a wonderful technician! He diagnosed our issue quickly and efficiently. Dave also made several test runs to ensure our heating system worked perfectly. He is also a super nice guy. I highly recommend Dave and Altitude Comfort!

Altitude came out to fix our furnace very quick after we called. The technician was great and very professional! Thanks for the help, we would definitely use them again if we had issues.

Needed service for two Trane HVAC units in my home. Called my usual contractor and the wait was over 45 days… not acceptable. Checked reviews on a number of sites and noticed Altitude Comfort stood out above the crowd. Made a reservation on line for the following day. Ryan the tech arrived 5 minuted AHEAD of schedule, was courteous and professional. All systems checked out fine and he left the work area cleaner than when he arrived. Very impressed — — will use again!

I highly recommend Altitude Comfort. Dave came out to fix my furnace at 8pm, and he went above and beyond the call in getting it up and running again! I am so very grateful to him and this company for their amazing service, fairness and honesty. When it’s time to replace my old furnace, I now know who I can call and trust to do an excellent job.

Dave and Doug were great to work with when we had a heater problem in our business. I had a possible gas leak and needed them to come out right away, and they did! We hired them for the repair which came in at a great price, and everything about them was professional and efficient. Recommended!

My technician Dave was very knowledgable and friendly. He kept me
informed of all that he was doing and asked before making repairs that cost extra. Overall very fair and honest. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.
