Their food is terrific! Their chicken kabobs are tender and juicy, gyro meat is very flavorful and lamb shank was cooked perfectly. I placed a large take out order for a small house party. They don’t have a great deal of experience in catering so placing the order was difficlut but once we did, the food was tasty! Will definitely visit this place when in the neighborhood next.

What an authentic dining experience! I spent six months in the Middle East… And fell in love with the cuisine. So many middle eastern Mediterranean restaurants are a terrible attempt at true Middle Eastern food. I got the Shawarma kebab, extra falafel, fries, all the sauces… It was wonderful. They don’t speak complete English, which I think only adds to the experience. The owner allowed me to do I have to order a full awful because I wanted to try it, no complaints about special orders. The food was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The meal ended up being about $ 15 without a drink, so it’s not cheap. But it is delicious and filling! I will be back.

You will receive the worst customer service of your LIFE. They will get your order wrong on purpose just to shut you down when you tell them they got it wrong. Yes their food is good but I ordered the hummus plate with chicken shawerma on top and there was barely any hummus on the actual plate so they tried to mask it with an abundance of fries and some random slaw that I never asked for(was not written in the menu). Honestly I know it’s a «fast food» joint but wow, customer service trumps good food.

I have been excited to try Amira Sweets since they posted their«open» sign recently. It’s owned by the same folks who own Amira Bakery, which is conveniently located a few doors down in the same shopping center. This morning I finally had a chance to stop in and it lived up to my hopes! I should mention that technically they weren’t open for the day, but the owner was nice enough to let me order and even sample a few things. The baklava was amazing. Bite-size, dripping with honey, and the perfect blend of sweetness and flakiness. It was a favorite among my co-workers when I brought it to a meeting later that day and disappeared quickly. I tried a sampling of cookies. They were beautiful. Better yet, the small size means you can try all of the different varieties that will tempt your palate(and you WILL be tempted to try them out). My favorites were the chocolate pistachio, date, and fig cookies. The cookies and baklava were sold by the pound. The prices were fair. They had another case of picturesque cakes that I drooled over. The owner said they plan to eventually serve the delicious pita bread that Amira Bakery is so well known for. Once they do, I’ll be in weekly! I should also add that the owner was incredibly nice and seemed genuinely excited to talk about the desserts they offered. The interior is very peaceful and pleasing on the eye. I can’t wait to see how this bakery develops!

This place is pretty good. Being vegan I have only had their falafel plate. The falafel are really good as well as the hummus. I have had it several times. The portions are huge and I usually can make two meals out of it. My coworkers usually get the sandwiches they make and have said they are really good as well.

This restaurants food is fantastic. I’ve tried several restaurants in the Denver(CO), Houston(TX), Austin(TX), and Manhattan(NY) areas and I have to say this is among the tastiest. If you haven’t tried this place before(or Lebanese cuisine, for that matter) try the Amira Combo. You’ll get a taste of what they do across a variety of proteins and vegetables: chicken kebab — huge tender cubes of perfectly marinated and grilled chicken, kafta — perfectly seasoned and grilled skewer of ground beef and lamb, chicken shawerma — gyro styled preparation of marinated chicken breast which is roasted and shaved off into the rice, fluffy yellow rice, a dab of very garlic-y yogurt, a healthy dose of hummus, a little diced parsley and onion, and a HUGEPIPINGHOTMADETOORDER pita. You will have tried many things at once should you return you can narrow it down — in the process dining like a king. There are a few gotchas of which you should be aware: you order and pay at the counter. Not a big deal, but my expectation walking in led me to believe I’d be waited-on and being waited-on is my preference. Also, they serve drinks in cans and bottles. There is no wait-staff except the cashier who is also the busser. You can get helped, but will need to raise your hand or go to the counter. If this format suits you, then definitely try this place out. The food is definitely different(if not simply) better than some of the local competitors. The pita alone grants it this status — it is amazing with the yogurt or the hummus or both. I’m going to have to revise my ratings accordingly. I will be returning to this business in spite of the service format.(which in spite of my disliking for it, was more efficient).

So, first off, this place has no interest in customer service. I tried calling them to place a takeout order so I wouldn’t have to wait too long, and nobody answered. When I get there, I walk in to a man who works there yelling loudly on the phone in the dining room. This went on for a while and he then got off the phone and began arguing and yelling with other employees. In the mean time, a quiet girl at the register took my order, and I could barely hear her due to the yelling going on. Phone rings again and he answers it(hmm, didn’t bother answering my call), more yelling. Once my food was ready, the girl yelled at me across the restaurant, «Excuse me, EXCUSEME!» instead of, ya know, walking the food over to me. Needless to say, not a pleasant experience here picking up some food. As for the food, I had a beef shwarma sandwich and a lahmbajeen pie with no cheese. The shwarma was pretty good, good value, no complaints. The lahmbajeen was decent, a little underwhelming, but it is what it is. The food here is decent, but I doubt I’ll ever go back after that experience. Would have been 3 stars if they had any respect for their customers.

One of the best middle eastern restaurants in Denver. Their Burgers are nice. Good food, Don’t expect good service though. The owner always looks angry.

Service sucks, lot of attitude, princess doesn’t want to be there, if you ask more than one question she will respond Soup Nazi style, food is average but the bread is freshly made and is the best thing they have, they use the same bread dough for their pizza, the pizza crust is good but their sauce & toppings fall short.

My wife and I went for the first time today. The staff is super unfriendly. They said they don’t serve water– so I had to buy a bottle for a dollar. We got their gyro pizza which was actually very good. The only thing I think that makes it good is the fresh crust. Pizza sauce was a bit sweet, I think they just mix ketchup and tomato sauce. They also don’t have red chilli flakes or parmesan. Women’s bathroom did not have soap either. Overall I liked the food but there are other places with much better customer service and pricing.

Coming from Metro Detroit I am always craving quality Middle Eastern food. Denver has one of the worst collection of Middle Eastern restaurants of any big city I know. They are there, but these restaurants take shortcuts and the flavor profile is generally way off. Amiira’s has some high quality hummus and pita. The bread is made to order and comes out piping hot. Solid appetizer. The shawarmas are ok. They actually use the vertical spit here and have some quality garlic sauce. Good, but still not like at home. And finally got a fattoush. One of the worst salads of my life. A fattoush is pretty tough to mess up. A basic one has olive oil, lemon, salt, garlic poweder, and sumac. This was basically inedible. On the shawarma alone, this is one of the better ones in the city. But I am not going out of my way for this.

I happened upon this place when I was waiting for my car to be repaired. What a gem! I ordered a sandwich and the labneh and ended up with easy more food than one person should eat… but I did anyway. The best part was probably the huge pita, roughly the size of one of those mylar birthday balloons and just as puffy. So delicious. I will be back.

Amira Bakery is one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in Denver. I have eaten here several times and it never disappoints. I love everything they served, I especially like the foul with hummus and the oven fresh pita bread that puffed up like a balloon. Service sometimes can be a little weak. The menu and price in their website are not up to date.

Amira’s is the best. They never have me wait long for take out, never have I had a bad experience and the food is always fresh. The owners are the sweetest. I highly recommend it

Pretty decent food. Syrian style of cooking. My friends and I got a few plates and shared. The falafel is really good, as well as the chicken shawarma. The lamb kabob was just ok. I feel that I make better and I’ve had plenty of better. The rice was ok. Just plain with limited spices. When I am eating Middle Eastern food, I prefer a rice with more spices in it.

Such a challenge to leave this review… The good here is delicious! They make great hummus, the bread is amazing and fresh made and the ingredients are great. Now… Why the 2 stars? The service and attitude is awful!!! They don’t have everything on their menu available. And they simply say«we don’t have» when you try to order it. Furthermore, they clearly seem to treat other middle easterners much better than anyone who is not. Which is downright bullshit. I am actually very middle eastern and even speak Arabic, but look like a good ol’ white boy… Not cool to discriminate in any scenario!!! I truly hate to give these guys my business, but the food is really really good. I wish the cooks would go work at one of the other mediocre middle eastern restaurants. If I feel compelled to go back I will definitely order to go only
