Went on Saturday(4-24-2010) night to watch the WEC fight. Called all around and this was the only bar showing the fight. So we headed down from Arvada. Showed up at 7 to watch the prefights and the place was empty. We ordered 2 beers and watched a few bouts while deciding on our food. Ended up starting with the not so wimpy nachos. They were good our server Alex was a little slow to take our order and came back twice because she forgot. When the main fights started we ordered our actual dinner. I had the Andrews salad which was suppose to have cucumber, peppers, tomato, cheddar cheese and dressing. It came out with only tomato, cheddar cheese and about a ½ ounce portion of ranch. Boyfriend had the chicken sandwich it was well cooked and seasoned perfect. As the fight proceeded we were never checked on again. Never asked if we wanted more beers or water and were left with dirty dishes until 9pm when Alex had to leave. She brought the check which included an item we never ordered but my card had already been processed for the amount since they had to hold my card for the tab. I was told it was returned and brought the new bill for $ 25.11, I signed and left a cash tip. Sunday morning I checked my bank account and had charges for 25.11, 45.02, 40.19, 30.13 and 59.95! I left the charges alone and called Andrews. I was told the manager Susie wasn’t in and they would call her at home and ask her to call. She never did so I called again sunday afternoon still no manager. Monday I called again(twice) still no Susie. By Tuesday the charges posted and I had the bank contest them and they credited my account. Wednesday I called just to let the manager know what had happened and she told me she never recieved a message to call me. That Sunday she was at work after her tennis game and another errand and she never seen the message to call. She proceeded to tell me that the charges never went through and that she could fax me to prove that they didn’t do anything wrong. After her raising her voice to me and telling me what she knew to be fact even though prior to my call she hadn’t bothered to investigate I told her it didn’t matter I had been credited the money and got a new card ordered and we wouldn’t be back. She said«good don’t come in!» Then hung up. She called back 15 minutes later to tell me she did remember seeing the note Sunday and just forgot to call. I said thanks we won’t be back in after talking with you and I didn’t apperciate the hang up. WOW!!! I won’t be back to Andrews and I was excited to have somewhere close to my school that seemed chill. – Guess not. SUSIE needs some serious customer service training.

This place is great! This is a fantastic place for a large group. I was here last week for a MeetInDenver New Member Mingler. The bar set aside two huge tables for us and our server was great about keeping all the checks separate. Someone brought in cupcakes for someone’s birthday in our group, and Andrew’s didn’t give us a hard time about the outside food. In fact, they even brought us plates. We were there on a Wednesday, so it happened to be all night happy hour, including $ 2PBR drafts, whoo hoo! A friend and I split the appetizer platter, which was southwest egg rolls, onion rings, chips & salsa and chicken fingers. It wasn’t fantastic, but it certainly wasn’t bad. The music was some pretty fantastic old-school 90s rock until the DJ showed up and put on some crappy house music, bleh! I think we would have stayed longer if that had not happened. Parking is pretty much all street parking. Most of the meters are free after 6pm. There is a parking garage, but I think it’s ~$ 5 to park there(dood, that’s like 2.5PBR drafts, yo). If you can scooter/bike/walk/take the bus, I’d recommend it. I dig this spot and we will most definitely be back!

Big concrete-floor place with one central bar, good-looking and friendly bar staff, lousy acoustics for the live music that plays there, and the general smell of stinky beer due what is not a 4-star level of cleanliness and sanitation. Looks like a college place to me, even complete with the leaky plumbing in the bathroom.

I wanted to like Andrew’s but it’s just so big, random and disjointed. It’s not a bar I feel«at home» in, which is too bad because on Wednesday nights they do have a pretty decent DJ. Or maybe it was because it was right after Michael Jackson died… he was blasting the old-school disco-loving MJ and the crowd was rocking out and breakdancing. Those are what my stars are for. The door men and bartenders were some of the rudest and surliest I’ve ever come across. I wasn’t trying to break any laws or rules while walking in OR out of this place but they sure let you know they’re keeping an eye on you.

You know what’s funny? When the jukebox at Andrews is churning out nonstop metal and you walk up and load it with an hour of indie rock. Laughs all around, or at least at my table. I came here recently for happy hour, mainly because I was trying to get into Sutra and apparently they don’t open until 5 p.m. It was 3:30 and I wanted a drink, and didn’t want to walk far. It seemed like there was only one person working, and she was polite but clearly slammed. I asked for a blueberry vodka and soda, my default drink, and she recommended a vodka brand I don’t remember but said it tasted«really natural.» It tasted fine, but it was pretty purple(is that natural?) Anyway, I feel pretty neutral about Andrews. It’s a large space and good for getting your drink on, but don’t set your standards too high. And bring a dust rag.

Dropped by on a weeknight, looking for some basic«bar food» and this place worked. For bar food, it was decent. Especially the chicken wraps, which were quite large and filling. They also had $ 2 specials on Rolling Rock, which seemed a little unusual(yet welcome). The décor seems to emulate New York City, with random shots of Manhattan, the Yankees and some subway signs. This place might even fit in, out in the Bronx or Brooklyn. It appears to be a converted warehouse or garage, so they open the doors at night and you can watch, umm… traffic zip by. It has several rooms and could definitely host a large pub crawl or group. They even had a live DJ on one side of the bar, but he seemed almost out-of-place. They also did not have air conditioning the night I dropped by. Considering the wide-open garage doors/walls, that would prove ineffective, but they need to figure out SOME way to cool the place off at night. Maybe get two or three evaporative cooler fans? Andrew’s faces east, so there’s not much of a breeze blowing through. If this place was close to Coors Field, I believe it would rank higher among Unilocalers. It’s similar to a place like Sports Column or LoDo’s and not the swanky«lounges» that lurk in the proximity of The Church and Vinyl. In that regard, it does seem an abnormality for its neighborhood. But it’s one that I don’t mind at all. If I’m in the area, I’d rather plop my rump at Andrew’s than a dance club.

Do NOT come here for the food. The beer is cold although the selection is small. The wait staff is dodgy — not friendly or personable at all. Great venue though, it’s huge, lots of TVs, juke box. It smells… in a bad way. It’s a good place to start or end the night within walking distance of better places. They recently started lunch specials on Monday and Tuesday — 2 for 1 meals. At your own risk.

The bar crew has always given me mad Love. Strong drinks. Thanks for the b-day drinks~ and thanks for the bandaid for my toe Butch!

Eh… this place is just OK… Andrew’s is a huge bar with several different rooms to hang out in, as well as a couple of bar service areas. I went with a group of friends on Saturday night and had a great time, but not because the bar was awesome… I just happened to be in good company. Our server was really quiet and none of us ever had a clue what he was saying. Plus, he could only take 2 – 3 drink orders at a time because he couldn’t seem to remember more than that. The restrooms were relatively clean, but there were no paper towels in the ladies room. There were two large paper towel dispensers, but both were empty. Nothing is worse than having to «air dry», or wipe your palms on your jeans so that you’re not dripping as you’re walking back to the bar. The worst part about the night was this creepy guy who came up to our group and offered to buy us a round of shots. When he brought the drinks back to our table, he didn’t even take the shot with us, or make a toast of any kind. I asked if he was celebrating something and he gave me a very confused look. The gesture was nice, but extremely strange, and the guy lingered for a lot of the night. He was definitely wasted. I don’t think I would go out of my way to come back here again, and it certainly wouldn’t be a place I would recommend as a meet up spot.

I really do like this place… I really do but why does it disappoint me sooooo much sooooo often. I am on the band wagon though. I went the other night after the Unilocal event for before bed cocktails.s. and it started off with the Tap system being broken which it always is… in some way… flat… or completely down. So I opted for a captain and coke… tasted just fine… But I know someone will be with me on this one… You take someone to a place a shit goes wrong or they don’t have the thing your friend want and you fell like… responsible… like you should have known better … i felt kinda like that… not super guilt but a little. Their selection of «good beer» kinda sucks. Not going to lie. Their bathrooms for the first time in a LONG time had real live light bulbs… not candles… BUT it was still nasty… still like it always has been… 3 stars ask… cause I love a few bar keeps there and they love me back… live also a half a block away … its a cool bar and has potential for sooo much better! I really like the games… I like the layout… TURN down the music. PLEASE! I have fragile young ears here… I like the photo booth a lot… soooo funny looking at pics from not so sober nights in the photo booth! i like the food too. the Reuben is tasty! The Nachos hit the spot and I really like the menu diversity! Diverse crowd for sure! Ill be back… its that bar on the corner…

Ugh this place was pretty bad. $ 6 rum and cokes minus the rum apparently. Went here on a Saturday night and they were blasting Michael Jackson remixes. Now I may be picky about my music but there are some lines you just don’t cross and this place crossed it many times. Very loud horrible music(you can’t have any kind of coherent conversation here), very overpriced weak drinks, and a mixed group of people doing what? I don’t really know. Heres hoping I don’t get dragged back out here.

No. No, no, no, no, no, no. This place has everything I love about a bar… photo hunt, shuffleboard, pool tables, a photo booth, music videos on the television, etc. I just can’t get on board with it though… It’s a strange place full of strange people and there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to anything about this place. The waitresses are nice though! I wish I could like this place more but it got more and more random as the night progressed and I had to leave.

i few friends and i went in for a few drinks and some food before heading over to dazzle for an art talk. my veggie wrap and french fries were pretty good. the happy hour vodka cran was very much a well drink. over all it was an ok experience. nothing really struck me as awesome or crappy. i wouldnt say no to going here again if someone wanted to go, but wouldn’t seek it out either.

I will never return to Andrew’s unless I am so drunk I do not know where I am and just following the pack. Visited on Saturday to watch the ALDS… someone told us it was a sports bar. The same 2 college football games were on all the TV’s so we asked a bartender to put it on a TV, preferably by the bar cause that’s were we found seats. but they insisted everyone at the bar was watching the Ohio game that was on three TVs at the bar and 3 more near the bar. Bribed some guys to switch so they could see the game on 2 different TVs and got the(way more important) ball game on. So we sit, got the game, waited to be served some beers. As a thank you, told the bartender to send 3BEERS over to the nice guys, he went and told them we were buying a round of DRINKS, which these«nice» guys interpreted as tall red bull and vodkas. Never do something nice for just out of college asses watching their alma mater play football. Bartender then put most of my group’s drinks and the 3 a-holes drinks on my tab which I should’ve disputed, but after all that plus some really really bad open mike comedy, I just wanted to get out. I am never going to Andrew’s ever again.

Always have a pretty good time at this spacious bar. Decent bar food and good place to play pool if that is up your alley.
