They had good local coffee, spicy chorizo breakfast burrito, and a sweet space for hanging out. What made it 4 stars was Tyler’s energy and grace — have seen many baristas and his ability to juggle 4 customers gracefully was amazing and very sweet

Great coffee shop in the Bear Valley area! I have been multiple times, and the staff are always polite, cheerful and make great drinks. You can get a frequent customer card and earn free drinks!

Don’t judge this shop by it’s plaza… I always have this reaction to plazas that isn’t always positive. But Bear Valley Coffee Company definitely holds a lot more on the inside! The prices for coffee was super reasonable, and the décor inside was very nifty. There is some space, but not a whole lot for too big of groups.

I like that you can customize your drinks pretty much however you want! Some of the signature ones are really good with even better names, like the Irish Idiot frapp made with scoops of ice cream, so decadent! The Honey Bear latte is a better coffee drink sweetened with honey but I’m still not used to the flavor, not their fault that I like synthetic syrup more(sigh)! Speaking of which they have a line of flavored syrups almost as many as drink bottles at a full bar! I’d love to come and try different combinations of flavors. The owner and his staff are all very down to earth. There is a punch card system here but it’s tracked through your phone number, which is nice if some kind of receipt is given out to keep track of punches. I also love that their«smaller» drink size is actually a medium to start with, which makes their pricing more affordable than Starbucks, what better reason to support a neighborhood café!

Great little local coffee shop! The guys that work here are really nice. It has a cozy feel, a big couch, local art on the walls, free WiFi and lots of drink options. Coffee, frappes, smoothies, and soy and almond milk options. Check ‘em out!

Very nice small coffee shop — plus they brew their own coffee. Much nicer than going to Starbucks. I spent less on a breakfast burrito and a large cup of very good cup of coffee than I would for a regular cup at Starbucks and it was better.

My current go to neighborhood coffee shop! Very cozy with plenty of seats. They serve excellent drinks & pastries. The wait is never too long & it holds a great atmosphere. Prices are worth the quality of their product & they also offer a rewards card to build points for free drinks! I can’t find anything not to like about this place.

Super über friendly staff and they roast their own! If it was a bit more hipster id rate it 4 stars. 3 because they don’t have a traditional cappuccino on the menu. If you like Starbucksesque drinks, this place will suit you well.

Ouch! I just spent more here than I would have at Starbucks, which says a lot! We ordered 2 breakfast burritos and a 24oz mocha and it came to just under $ 15! I seriously could not fathom that total was going to come out of the cashiers mouth. The breakfast burrito was dry, not authentic. Could have bought a Santiago’s burrito at any number of gas stations around here, cheaper and better. The guy offered ‘Green Chili’, which I thought was weird(isn’t it IN the burrito?), turns out it was NOT green chili. It was a vinegar based green chili sauce or something, not green chili. The mocha was not very tasty either, no whip cream to top it off for that price! Really wanted to support them since they are local but I can’t afford it. Could have went and had an entire breakfast at anywhere else. Disappointing at best.

The pastries aren’t the best but they’re okay. The best part of this shop is the coffee, which is definitely worth the trip! They also have ice cream :)

Very, very friendly service, couples with good coffee(They know the origins of the beans and how to brew them properly, too) and prices in line with competitors make Bear Valley Coffee a regular stop for me. They’ve got a loyalty card that earns you free drinks, too. Just enter your phone number and BOOM. Sometimes you get a free drink. And free is good. The Strip-Mall frontage and Card-Table-And-Chairs interior can be deceiving. They’ve got good pastries, coffee, juices, and(apparently) Ice Cream. The location keeps it quieter than your usual hip-hoppin’ coffee joint, too. So it’s a bit easier to chill out without 10 million people bumping into you, too. Works for me!

It’s always nice to discover an alternative to the Bucks. The coffee is good here and you’ll even save a couple of bucks and not have to see $tars. They even offer a loyalty rewards program to earn free drinks just by giving them your phone number. The baristas are friendly and will make your drink any way you like it. They have plenty of Da Vinci syrups to choose from to mix and match. They also offer fresh homemade pastries provided by Taste of Denmark in Lakewood for a morning or afternoon nosh. This was exactly just what the Bear Valley area needed and it’s a good place to keep bookmarked when you’re in the Bear Valley area and looking for a quick place to get your caffeine fix.

Bear Valley Coffee Company opened Memorial Day Weekend but I just discovered it today. I ordered a large vanilla latte and it was truly made it to perfection. They are painting the walls and still getting everything situated. A great neighborhood coffee shop!

This place is amazing!!! Great friendly service. I am always looking for new, fun, small mom and pop coffee shops and this one by far is my favorite way better than Starbucks. If you have not tried this place yet you really should.

My husband and I live just a short drive away and didn’t know this was here! It was a hot afternoon so we haven’t tried the hot coffee yet, but my husband had the Oreo frap and I had a raspberry tea. His was pure deliciousness! As was my tea. I can’t wait to stop in and try a macchiato before work Monday morning. Great location, super friendly, locally owned. Very happy to have this in the neighborhood.

My wife and I recently moved from Washington state where coffee is taken very seriously. We love our coffee and are not easily impressed. We thought we would give Bear Valley Coffee Company a shot since it just opened and is only a couple of blocks away from our home. We were impressed. The bottom line is that the barista made two perfect lattes. We will definitely be frequenting this establishment. If you are at all apprehensive, don’t be, you will be glad you tried it.
