Been here multiple times. Always fresh and good customer service! Would be a huge plus if they took call ahead orders as they do bake everything fresh after it’s ordered but if you are a regular you know what you want! Their buffet salad bar is an awesome compliment! The honey served with the crust is a very satisfying finish!

This place is tired and needs to be redone into a SAMs #3 or a sports bar. It looks like it hasn’t a penny spent on it since 1979. The food isn’t any better than the hundreds of other choices in Denver. I live in the neighborhood and I want a good sports bar or diner. Don’t bother with this tired excuse.

You got be kidding me! No, just no. The horror of this place is unbareable. They are making up a fake pizza style from the land of crackheads, coke users and weedies.

Hands down best pizza there is! This is not NY style pizza and it’s not Chicago style pizza. This is Colorado style pizza all the way. It is a braided multigrain crust and the pizza is layered sauce then toppings and finally cheese. You eat the braided crust with local Colorado honey and it is the best! It’s the only crust that I like to eat when I get pizza. Some of the great menu items are the pacific plantation pizza, the honey cheese bread is so simple yet simply delicious. This place is a must go to and you will not be disappointed!

It’s good and filling. For pizza it seems a little expensive but I would order again… maybe. The menu can be a little confusing to be honest

Colorado-styled pizza is hearty, certain to make you full, and definitely a unique experience for those who want something a little different then a traditional, run of the mill type of pizza. Seating was quick with a friendly host, but after a few minutes of looking over the menu, I felt overwhelmed. Various appetizers, salads, calzones, sandwiches, make your own pies, and specialty mountain pies fill the pages of the menu, making it difficult to pinpoint what exactly to order. A few minutes more of perusing and I ended up ordering the luau specialty mountain pie. I was excited to try this spin on my usual favorite(hawaiian-style pizza), but I wasn’t able to get a full taste in one bite because the mountain pie overflowed with ingredients. It was cooked decently, but it was a bit mushed together. Nothing out of the ordinary, in particular, with this pizza. My favorite part was the crust and honey to dip it in, which was a nice touch. Definitely a good place to try, especially for Colorado natives who want to get this place crossed off their bucket list!

Went to a Tuesday Trivia night at Beau Jo’s last week. It wasnt as good as I remembered it, unfortunately. We ordered the spinach dip. It was wrapped in a pizza crust that was seemingly stale. The dip did not come out hot either, which was disappointing. We shared a pizza, that tasted like just a very normal pizza. Nothing special about it for an actual pizza place. Our server was very nice, but also seemingly very forgetful, which was not fun.

Good for what it is, but not for the price. As a native Coloradoan, Beau Jo’s is on par with CASA Bonita; both feel like rites of passage before picking up a «Native» sticker. Unfortunately, both restaurants are fairly sub par, with less than you remember. We ordered the Old Settler with added pepperoni to go. We opted for a large, to have leftovers. I went to pick up the pie and the friendly woman at the counter told me that I’d get 20 percent off my order. That was the good news. The bad news: it was still $ 30. The box says«3 pounds» of pizza, but the kitchen scale says much less. Nonetheless, we got it home and tore into the warm-ish pie. Although the crust was now stale and the toppings a little dry, the sauce was fairly good. The Old Settler is supposed to include a smörgåsbord of ingredients including mushrooms, artichoke hearts and bacon. Out of three slices, I only found examples of the latter two — in limited supply — but plenty of pepperoni, which presumably we paid more for. The crust and everything else were wholly forgettable. In all, Beau Jo’s was a decent pizza if it were half the price. Skip it, if you can.

Got a coupon for a free trip to salad buffet with a gluten free pizza or sandwich. The building was fine. Hostess was welcoming and warm. Seated and waiter came in a timely manner. My bf got a gluten free sandwich and I got the sausage combo pizza. Salad bar was ok. Not $ 4.99 worth. Didn’t try the sandwich cause I was too full. I have had several gluten free pizzas. This one was greasy but tasty. Crust was ok. Tasted like Udi’s crust which is better than average but definitely not the best. The service was nice. I would recommend this place. Me personally I wouldn’t make a special trip, but if I was close by I could see going again

First off I want to say we are gluten free. The service was pretty good. We were seated right away and the server came by quickly for our drink order. Once the food was ordered it came in a very reasonable amount of time. We ordered salad bar, a sandwich to share and a pizza to share. Salad bar was ok, nothing special. The sandwich was great. The pizza was good but the crust was not. I guess they use Udi’s gluten free crusts. I would think they could come up with something better themselves. After all they are pizza experts.

Did not have a great experience this go around. Had lunch buffet. Our waitress avoided eye contact like the plague and we had to ask another waitress for drinks twice. I actually waited by the kitchen doors to get her attention to bring a bowl of soup and to ask for our check. Food was ok not amazing but again we had the lunch buffet.

Who needs Chicago style pizza or New York style pizza when you can have COLORADO style pizza? Let me just give you a little tip folks… always, always, ALWAYS order the mountain pie. Trust me. You will want to make sure you have plenty of leftover crust to enjoy with honey after your meal. The salad bar was fresh and super cheap to add with any meal or pizza. Everything was amazingly good and the service was great! We will be back soon!

Family came in from out of town. They requested pizza. Since I was the only native of the bunch I decided we’d try here. It’s great for kids and the food has always been consistent. We were seated as per my in laws request. Out waiter was very patient and curteous as we figured out what we wanted. The wait staff gets 5 stars, they were all incredibly helpful to my sister in law when my nephew accidentally broke his glass. The food was good for me, I’ve always enjoyed it. We got a 3 pound mountain pie. Half sausage combo half mama mia. The mama mia was chicken, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese. The sausage portion, came with mushrooms, and red onions. My husband loves pizza so he gave this place 3 stars, he’ll come again but it didn’t rock his world.

Great local pizza place. We came in on a busy Wednesday and the staff worked very well to make sure we were seated as soon as possible. Food was great, we ordered one 2 lb and one 3 lb pizza since there was 7 in our party and that was enough. Both had great flavor and toppings were good! I would definitely eat here again!

This place is a solid three stars. My dad loved the location up in Idaho Springs, but this is location is more convenient to us when we are going to and from the airport. The restaurant attempts to have a western rustic atmosphere, which is cute to an extent. The tables and floors were clean. When we arrived, we asked if we wanted the lunch buffet or to order from the menu – when I glanced over, the buffet had only three pies, maybe two or three slices left of each, and a large salad bar situated in bathtubs full of ice. Nine slices of pizza do not a buffet make! Instead, we ordered a Mediterranean salad and a medium prairie pie. The salad was okay, nothing special, but satisfactory enough. When our pizza came out, I was thrown off how small it was – by New York standards, that was a small pie! The prairie pie claims a thinner crust, but even with our chosen toppings(mozzarella, pineapple, peppers, and onions), I didn’t see why the crust was so soft and soggy. The Beau Jo’s sauce is good, I will say that much. But as an overall pizza… not so much. Maybe next time we’ll make the trip up to Idaho Springs.

Can you spell G-H-E-T-T-O?! I haven’t been to Beau Jo’s in a few years, but man oh man have they gone down hill. The restaurant itself looks run down and the Tupperware and silverware look cheap. I was there with a big group and we got their buffet. NOTWORTHIT! The salad bar didn’t have any plates restocked, so we had to ask for it. The greenery looked fresh but a little wilted as if it’s been sitting out for awhile. We got back to our table and had to ask for more silverware, napkins, and cups. The waitress pointed to other tables with cups on it and said it was for us, but the ice was melted and looked a tad sketch for us to grab. Since we arrived a little late, there was only 3 pies left for us to eat. The pizza was good, a lil oily. But it fell apart too easily as in the toppings fell off my pizza while I was trying to shovel it in my mouth. One of my friends suggested drizzling honey on the crust then eating it. It was quite delicious especially since you didn’t want to waste the crust because you paid $ 20 for it! Overall, the pizza was good but service was lacking. We didn’t get our drinks refilled and the server maybe checked on us once or twice. In my opinion, there are better pizzerias out there and Beau Jo’s has simply lost their touch.

Love the Dude Ranch Mountain Pie. Never had a better pizza and when I lived in Colorado Springs went as often as possible. A bit longer to drive now, but well worth it.

Beau Jo’s pizza is a Colorado institution! I’m happy it’s around, but after my recent visit I realized that I don’t go here very often and wondered why. It wasn’t the food — since Beau Jo’s makes some damn delicious pizza. You have to get their mountain pie, with the huge crust. It’s just a no-brainer that you need to enjoy that dense, delicious crust drizzled with honey! They still have a pretty good salad bar too. However when I looked around during the last visit I realized the place is getting a little well worn, and maybe is in need of an update. Maybe it’s because we arrived after the dinner rush, but it was a little bit disorganized and messy. I probably sound like a total snob, but it just feels a bit dated. I will still go to Beau Jo’s, but maybe during lunch when you can get the pizza and salad lunch buffet. I feel like for dinner I may want a place with a bit more of a modern ambiance.

I’m going to begin this review with the negatives and end on the positives… We ordered a vegetarian pizza with about 6 toppings, classic sauce, mountain pie, 3lbs(2 of us).nothing too jazzy. It was really yummy, took about 20 minutes to cook and was worth the wait, but was it worth the price?! It cost us $ 47 for our pizza which was extremely over priced considering that the challenge pizza is $ 80 and it’s 14lbs. You do the math! No pizza in this world should be so expensive unless Jesus himself baked it! Now onto the positives: The waitress was amazing, I’m not sure what her name was though, but no one seemed to be complaining about the waitresses and the atmosphere was nice. The pizza was yummy, and we were seated promptly and drinks taken immediately. Beers were reasonably priced and there was plenty to go around. We were given a TON of attention and having the football games on was a nice touch. All in all, the place was comfortable until we received our bill of $ 59 and realized $ 47 of it was strictly from pizza. We’re not cheap people by far, but NEVEREVER should pizza be this expensive… And we’re from Los Angeles. That’s saying something.
