This race is a true Denver tradition. The race has been going strong for 31 years and it is one of my favorite races every year. It is in the heart of Cherry Creek and you can choose from a 1.5 mile sprint, 5K, 5 miler, or the 10 miler which they added last year.
The cost of this race is extremely reasonable when you consider your race shirt, swag bag, and Leinenkugel’s beer garden to enjoy afterwards. I wish they could have a bag check but I understand why they cannot so make sure to pack light or bring cheerleaders to hold your belongings. This is a totally family friendly event with a petting zoo and kid races but with this many runners they suggest you leave Fido at home.
