I’ve been going to Clove Studios for a while now for facials, dermaplane and waxing. Courtney is wonderful! Extremely personable and professional. She is so knowledgeable about her business, and I always feel like I am in good hands. I highly recommend going to see her. She will handle your skin with care!

I travel for work and my skin is punished for it. I’m also in the beauty industry and so can’t afford to show up looking wrecked. Courtney is my skin savior when I’m in Denver. She is no-​nonsense and results driven. I had an amazing lash tint from her (still awesome 2 weeks and a trip to Hawaii later) and a dermaplaning. My skin looked unbelievable when she was done.
I appreciate her honesty in recommending products and I have seen good results from the Sciote Crème that I purchased. If I lived in Denver, I would have a standing appointment with Courtney once a month; she’s fantastic and delivers amazing results!

I have been seeing Courtney of Clove Studios for years now, first when she was at Nectar at Pura Vida, and then, I reconnected with her quite randomly. I had wandered into Flirt Salon, across the street from her studio, looking for Moroccan Oil products. I asked the salon if they did facials and hair removal, and they handed me a Clove Studios card and said to mention their name to get a discount on my first visit. As my wedding was about 3 months away, I was hesistant to start a new routine, but I needed some good advice on how to deal with facial hair for the big day! The folks at Flirt highly recommended her, so I thought, let’s give it a try. If it goes awful, I have 3 months to recover! At my first appt, Courtney recognized me, and I felt reassured knowing she had always done a good job at Nectar for me. Courtney asked me my goals, and I explained to her that I wanted to look great for my wedding and not have the stress of an errant chin hair popping up as a guest or my new husband was otherwise admiring my beautiful makeup, dress, hair etc. She understood that I didn’t want to mess with much facial waxing and was patient with me. She proposed a great technique called «derma plane», which exfoliates and removes hair through use of a teeny blade she expertly wields. No one else in the country offers this service to my knowledge (and I would know). We also spaced out my appts and put together a plan to have the best skin I could have for the big day (including very gentle eyebrow waxing). Well, needless to say, the derma plane worked great. It is painless and effective, and it’s better than anything you are doing now other than maybe waxing. Since the wedding date passed, Courtney gently encouraged me to try some facial waxing. I trust her a lot, and she always listens to my concerns closely and never pushes me into anything. Now, we do a combo of facial and body waxing and derma plane, and, let me just say, I look fresh as a newly bloomed tulip upon my departure from Clove Studios. I couldn’t be more thrilled. I have struggled with mild to moderate facial hair most of my life, and it’s a huge relief and great load off me to have that issue totally resolved in a basically painless way. I do need to let hair grow a little bit in between, but Courtney is always willing to squeeze me in if I’m having a hairy day! We also do body waxing, and Courtney goes after every ingrown and is very thorough. It’s clear she enjoys her work and likes doing a good job. I also sometimes do just a regular, straight up facial every now and then too, although with the derma plane, I get a facial as well. I can’t recommend Courtney highly enough, especially if you know what your goals are. I think seeing Courtney is a great idea for someone who isn’t a good candidate for laser or just doesn’t want to take that step (I have sensitive skin and am just not ready to be lasered on the face). Best of all, you can make appts with Courtney by e-​mail or text. She is very responsive, and there’s no hassle of calling a receptionist before closing time etc etc. If you want to get serious about hair removal and skin care, make an appt with Courtney and Clove Studios!
