One of the best animal rescue programs in Colorado. Our dog is amazing (and well-​trained). The trainer/​inmate provided us with a well written log book that was immensely helpful in training upkeep, general advise, and dog facts. These ladies and gentlemen know what they are doing– real pro’s. Very, very impressed!
We are thinking of sending our other dog (adopted through a shelter) to their private training program.

I will never get a dog from any other rescue/​shelter! The CCI Dog Program rescues high-​risk dogs and teaches inmates to train the dogs. They come to you house-​trained and knowing basic commands and a couple tricks, and spay/​neuter and all shots are included. Adoption seems expensive, but it’s cheaper than a puppy rescue fee + shots + spay/​neuter + basic training class! CCI also trains dogs for veterans with PTSD and as assistance dogs for people with disabilities. The program is a win-​win-​win, and I’ve never had a better dog. I’ve had dogs my whole life and I’ve never been able to train one this well! I’m so impressed – totally sold. I mean it – I’ll get dogs through this or similar programs (they have them throughout the country now) for the rest of my life!
