I love this coffee shop so much the service is always so excellent every time we come in they are always quick to give me my cup of Joe. I will always recommend this place simply because of the excellent service and I will continue to support common grounds as long as I possibly can! Thanks for the coffee!

Showed up late this past week. Pot of Tea was great, price was fantastic. To top it off, had two scoops of Ice Cream — Sweet! Very happy customer! Staff was nice and helpful.

Loved this place when I lived nearby, but their wifi sometimes wasn’t working(um why didn’t you tell me that when I bought my coffee with my laptop in my hand?). For a few weeks it was a regular thing that the connection didn’t work. Then, I had a really poor experience with a rude staff member(their staff is REALLY hit or miss.) and haven’t been back since.

I love that it’s locally owned and gives a feeling of being in touch with the community and not corporate. Drinks are good and street parking is plentiful. Staff is hit or miss. Some staff members are nice and helpful. Others are your stereotypical coffee hipster staff that are bothered to take your order and won’t walk 6 feet to bring your coffee to your table even though they have no waiting orders and nothing else to do but stand there. If you’re coming to get work done be forewarned that there are lots of group meetings here so it gets loud. Bring headphones if you’re easily distracted. On the other hand, if you need a place to hold a meeting, this would be a good place to do that.

One of the best in the neighborhood! Good food and great coffee. Just go try them. I don’t need to mush over a place that I frequent so often…

The perfect place to get some work done in Sunnyside. Lots of tables to work at and a nice quiet atmosphere and a good mix of people. Some working some just getting coffee. Staff is very friendly. Clean and open floor plan. Street parking looks fine.

I love this place. Their drinks are great and their food is extremely tasty. Try their lose leaf tea. Mmmmm.(I tried the passion fruit). But what really makes this place special is the employees. Service is wonderful, and they actually care about you. It is a community. I hosted a coloring night, and their staff was extremely helpful, supportive, and welcoming of our group. The baristas were actively interested in what we were doing, and everything they did was with a smile. We well definitely be back for more coloring nights. I came in today as well, and one of their male baristas(I think he is a manager, I really should have gotten his name. I WILL get his name lol) helped me with a horrible situation involving horrible taxi drivers. All he knew about me was that I was a regular here. Best random act of kindness I’ve experienced in a long time, and all from a community coffee shop with amazing employees.

I. Love. Common Grounds! Your baristas are sweet and cool people and your drinks are always made so well. The regulars card keeps you excited about your next freebie and so many pup’s around. The best part is this isn’t the snoody coffee shoppe you find in Denver, no one makes you feel weird for not knowing everything about coffee(which you find at many places). Go CG’s! Love you.

My go-to spot for getting work done in a comfortable and friendly environment. Fast wifi, accessible outlets, and the community tables are perfect for busier times of the day. Plus, you can’t go wrong with any breakfast burrito on the menu.

I wake up early and decide to try out this new coffee shop just because I’m feeling wild and it’s my birthday. Anyways, the coffee was spectacular, the quiche was scrumptious, and the lady that took my order almost made me get on one knee. Like Arnie says, «I’ll be back.»

Pains me to write this considering I have really been trying to love this place from the day it opened. Simple fact is the staff is AWFULL(save for a few and that’s why it gets 2 stars because a few are really nice) but Jesus what the hell! Rude seemed bothered to do their jobs and have no idea how to make ANY drinks. I have continued to go here knowing im getting sub par coffee at high prices but hey gotta support local business right. After this morning… NEVERAGAIN…

Finding an inviting less pretentious coffee house is very difficult in Denver. Common Grounds is really able to garner both the student and those just wanting a place to relax. The fantastic staff were very welcoming and spent time talking about coffee. As with many coffee establishments, Common Grounds are not focusing on speciality coffee roasting techniques to what I saw and purchased. The Mexico Altura was roasted to City plus extracting most of the flavor of the bean. Most of the beans were roasted to city plus that I saw on the shelves. Focusing more on the location and less on coffee snobs. Especially with no french press, pour overs or aeropress offerings. The clientèle will continue to down their coffee in sugar and milk masking over roasted beans. Instead of devloping a taste for speciality coffee. All in all if you want hot milk or over roasted drip coffee and a great place for homework or meeting this is your location. I will continue to grab a cup of coffee here for the great atmosphere. But purchasing bags of coffee will be done at Huckleberry as they are maintain the highest of quality beans and roasting techniques. Brad Colorado Culture and Cuisine Podcast

Second time I was here and surprised again by how great the food is. Both times I went for a meeting. Last night I had the gluten free chorizo, jalapeño quiche. I could not believe it was gluten free(something I don’t need to watch) the crust was so good. I was wishing this morning I had bought a piece to take home for my breakfast this morning. Looking forward to going back. This time to linger with a good book and lunch.

What a great coffee shop! Visiting from out of town and found this gem. Great service and friendly staff. Breakfast sandwich was really good, as was latte. Loved the atmosphere. One odd thing on tables was sign saying if going to be at table for long periods of time would need to order something every 2 hours.

This has become my go to spot when I need a little pick me up in the mornings. They make the best Chai I have ever tasted. I’m not sure what it is about these little cups of heaven, but there is for sure something in them that keeps me coming back again and again. Service is top notch here. I have yet to meet a grumpy barista even at 7am when I usually stop by. I am also addicted to their breakfast burritos as well as the atmosphere in this place. This is the perfect study spot for students. I will definitely be returning!

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Such is true with Common Grounds. This was my go-to coffeeshop when I was a younger lad. It was great because it had that perfect hang-out coffeeshop ambience with games scattered about, lots of tables, books to read. Before I was able to drink, my friends and I would spend hours here, developing some of my favorite youthful memories. But by «here,» I actually mean«there,» since Common Grounds was forced to move from its Highland digs by greedy landlord system that seems to threaten are cherished small-businesses throughout town. Fortunately, Common Grounds rebounded, moved to Sunnyside and found a location as cozy and awesome as its previous one. Yeah. maybe there aren’t as many nooks and crannies to his location, but it does have a beautiful patio, plenty of seating, books to read and even a garage door that can let in the sun and breeze. Plus it still has great coffee and delicious snacks. I do agree with a few others that the service can be a bit slow. It really is just an easily fixed staffing issue. I came during a Sunday bike ride and the place was surprisingly busy. But with just two staff members(one making a sandwich and the other making complicated coffee drinks), it took me a good 15 – 20 minutes just to get a pastry. But I wasn’t too worried about time since I was just revisiting the hang-out days of my youth.

I like Common Grounds, but in a neighborhood where Huckleberry and Black Eye exist, Common Grounds ends up third on my list. The space is gorgeous and definitely a nice place to hangout or get some work done but the experience always leaves something to be desired. Basically, I’ll go to Common Grounds if I’m with someone who’s used to Starbucks and wants some fancy sugar drink because the menu at Common Grounds is pretty big and they can make all of that stuff, but the employees can seem a little inattentive(why are they always facing the other way and why does it always seem like they’re doing that on purpose??) and I can’t for the life of me figure out why they don’t serve to-go drinks in recyclable cups. I will say that I like their food options though! I’m kind of dreaming of that breakfast burrito right now and I’ve also had some amazing quiche and a killer croissant breakfast sandwich. Overall, not a bad coffee shop at all!

I dig it! It’s close to home(which is wicked convenient). Folks are nice, cute little seating area. A tasty array of muffins and coffees and a few breakfast burritos & some lunch items as well. Their breakfast burritos are sometimes inconsistent — I’ve had them on back to back days and the spice level and size were noticeably different — but it’s important to me to support a local business, and I like the people there. Besides, I’M SUPERIMPORTANTANDTHEY’LLREADMY UnilocalREVIEW. But really the burritos are superb handheld breakfast items. They make great ones! It’s a good little spot, fun neighborhood coffee shop. I like going there. You know, for coffee and stuff.

Came here looking for a quite place to do some research and drink a good latte. I had been here once before so I knew the lattes were decent, I saw this time that they had an Oreo latte. I tried it, it ended up being pretty good but I think I will just stick with the regular lattes. The place always has a small crowd there, the customer service has always been good and they are really nice. There’s free WiFi, plenty of street parking, bathrooms are clean, and always fairly quite if you’re reading from their library.

I’m just going to comment on the internet from the experience of a road traveler who does speed tests at coffee shops around the country. FAST. If you’ve been working on a bunch of work that needs to get uploaded or have a few big downloads to make that are taking hours at other coffee shops, swing on down to 17MB up and 3MB down. Cha. Ching.
