Well I don’t like the fact that there isn’t really a possible allergen list near the desserts. Me and my fiancé have separate allergies to things, I realised the only thing I could eat after kissing my fiancé he was allergic to. They may have it online but I thought hey a friend referred this to me I wanted to try it… Big mistake last time I am going there.

Please remind me why I came here. Oh yeah, I remember, I was forced to. I’m not a fan of buffets, but I am really not a fan of buffets without a robust selection and overcooked/cold/tasteless food. It won’t happen again.

Food was old, cold & over cooked. Found hair in the food too. Will never come back!!! The girl collecting dishes dealt with our refund she was very nice but the manager coming over to the table would have been more appropriate. Wouldn’t even give it 1 star if I had the choice.

Although my daughter and I did have one unpleasant dining experience at this Country Buffet, we decided to give it a second chance about 3 weeks later and we had an absolutely hilariously entertaining and good dining experience. Not entertainment hired by the Country Buffet, mind you, but the lady at the next table. She was on a Skype call with a man with dementia who was probably in a care facility of some sort. Therefore she was talking super loud so he could hear her. During the process of this super loud call, she went back and forth to fill her plate at the buffet several times, mostly with piles of fried chicken. She was a slim lady but she could sure eat the fried chicken. Or maybe she was secretly stashing it away in a concealed tupperware container — hard to know. All I know is that the eight or so surrounding tables had no choice but to listen to her Skype call, and the folks cruising the buffet area probably also got the opportunity to hear her. Not sure if everyone found her as interesting as we did, but you know I am from Boulder, and she was as different from Boulderites as one can get, which was awesomely refreshing. Enough about her. We discovered that, for us, lunch is better than dinner at the Country Buffet. Just the right choices for each of us. And we managed to make reasonably healthy choices and not to eat too much. I don’t go to buffets normally and it’s a long story about why we ended up here in the first place, which would probably bore you to tears so I won’t tell it. Great staff, decent food for a buffet, lots of choices, some healthy, and enough to eat for two vegetarians, which is really something. Granted, there’s way more to eat if you’re an omnivore. So it goes. If you’re really really hungry and in the Stapleton area of Denver, well, here it is. Well-managed with pleasant efficient staff. Hot food. Cold food. Many choices. And the possibility of colourful entertaining individuals at neighboring booths. But maybe we were just lucky…

Crap crap crap! Comfort food my a$$… It was cold, the place smelled bad and food was dry and bland as all get out! Never again. It was good before the management change.

I have been here many times. Usually quite pleased. Its cheap and the food is ok. Nothing fancy. But went yesterday, Sunday, and they skip lunch pricing and go straight to dinner pricing at lunch time. Not too pleased but not that big of a deal. But the items available were very limited. If you are going to charge dinner prices you should give a dinner selection. Other than the salad items there was only about 3 things I enjoy eating. When I go for dinner there are usually about 7 – 8 things I enjoy. All I can figure is they know everyone wants to go after church so they figure they can screw us on selection. I will go again but I guess I will just go for dinner.

Bought a groupon for my visit to Denver. Plenty of food and good selection for picky eaters. Service was great both times we visited this location.

My husband & I actually enjoy the food, however, it’s the cleanliness of the plates & silverware which we have difficulty; often laying aside the not clean before finding a clean one. They either over stack the silverware in the dishwasher or take shortcuts to provide dish ware quickly. I enjoy the food presentation more now that it sits in pretty silver chafe ware. The waiters/waitresses are all very pleasant & helpful. The foods are quite tasty & it’s the consumers problem if they can’t find a food they like, not the restaurant, as there is an enormous selection of hot foods to choose from, as well as, the big selection from the salad & dessert bar. This restaurant would get a 5-star if clean dishware/silverware weren’t a concern.

Didn’t care for this location at all. First impression, dirty! No clean plates, or utensils. Went in for Sunday lunch. not impressed. They don’t put out full menu until 330pm. The only thing I can say is your taking your chances with this location

First time eating this chain. Will be the last time also. Got here at 8:25pm expensive and no selection. When I went to sit all the tables were covered with wet dirty soap water. After one plate of over cooked food the manager said they are closing and I needed to make my final selection and go.

Very inexpensive for decent food and a friendly staff. I came in for Labor Day weekend and I’m staying at on the hotels across the street. It’s an easy 5 min walk to get to to and located in the Quebec shopping with Home Depot, Walmart and other restaurants. I was looking for an alternative to Buffalo Wild Wings and wanted more than a sandwich at Jimmy Johns so I gave the Country Buffet a shot. The staff was very friendly as were most of the people I met in the city. I came for their breakfast they had fresh Sunnyside eggs, scrambled eggs and a variety of hashbrowns. Plus they had toast, grits, Mellon, ham and sausage.

Anthony Wedo needs to come here as Undercover Boss. This place has gone completely down the tubes. Salad bar lacks variety and what’s with small bowls of fruit; is that suggesting I should only take a small amount? Isn’t all you can eat what describes a buffet? Other food was less than tasty and prices have been raised within last year or so. And OMG, if I had used the restroom other than as I was leaving, I would have not even thought of eating here. As one other reviewer said, I would give this place no stars if I could.

Please do not go here! How can you mess up fried and comfort food, they have the recipe. I got back to the hotel and my stomach was sick. Had some Spanish Rice and almost broke a tooth because the rice was so hard The only thing that was decent was the make your own tacos. I believe I will not eat here again. If I could give it zero stars I would

Wow! I decided to give this place a second chance and was sadly disappointed! All of the tables where dirty! Just like the last time! The floor around the beverage area is disgusting and the staff is not even worth my time! They walk around like they are being tortured by working here and the ones that have a pleasant attitude are few! I really hope they get it together here but in the mean time I rather go to Golden Corral!

The revamp has not changed very much at all. New steam tables, slightly better management, same old food. They do have a children’s gaming area? now. Also Coke Freestyle machine. Sorry but even the gimmicky bread station will not lure me back for a return visit no matter how many times Anthony Wedo screeches at me from the TV.

Gross! Simply terrible. Anthony Wedo must be a marketing genius because since he started coming on TV telling us how fresh everything now is, it’s THEOPPOSITE! The steak is inedible, chicken pot pie was either a nasty mush or completely empty(saw 4 in a row empty), salad area poorly maintained, ribs too chewy to consider, pizza soft like mashed potatoes… It’s like they said«let’s cut corners, lower food costs and quality, and go on TV and say the opposite». I used to like this place(for what it was) but everyone was complaining around me. –me too

Wow. Im Impressed with Country Buffet. They have upgraded interior and the food and all the stations. Going to Keep it short and sweet. The Many options including those on the Soda Machine will keep me coming back. The Food didnt disappoint, and is on par with Golden Corral.

Cashier was not so friendly. Food was good. Fried foods were fried to long; all were hard. Staff was slow to pick up the dirty plates. Got a military discount but for $ 10 and change, I don’t know that I will eat at that location again.

My friend and I were recently cleaning out one of his storage areas and relocating stuff to another storage area. This was a multi-hour operation and neither of us had had a whole lot to eat that day. He suggested dining around the Northfield area, which was fine by me – there are many choices to dine around there. About 15 seconds after a turn, I saw Country Buffet, and said«You know, now we don’t have to choose as far as cuisine goes. Because they have some of everything.» And it’s true. Maybe not Fogo de Chao quality, or they may not deliver sizzling fajitas to your table or that spicy Szechuan dish you love so much, but you know? They have *steak*. That’s always a bonus — and it wasn’t dried out shoe leather. They have roast beef, which was… meh. But they have build your own tacos. And chicken parmesan. And basic Chinese food. And fried chicken. And fries. And a salad bar. And a dessert area, and soft-serve ice cream with toppings for the kids. We paid I think $ 10.99 a plate. I literally powered down 2 full plates of food, not dainty ones, and nibbled at a few dessert selections. If this place has a weak spot(knowing that you’re stepping into a buffet environment, so be realistic here…), it’s the dessert area. *Every* single dessert that was not pudding-based looked like it was drowning in HFCS… the consistency of which would have trapped dinosaurs in it, not unlike the LaBrea tar pits. I steered a *wide* berth around that area. The banana pudding was better than it tasted(*extremely* mediocre, if that.) Service was delivered by tired waitresses who, after a full days work, still managed to have smiles on their faces — I put a few more on with some positive feedback to them. Lunch, I believe, was $ 7.99/plate. If you don’t want to deal with picking out an eatery that focuses on one cuisine, or a sandwich chain like Jimmy John’s, and you just want to get your grub on, you could do worse than coming here.(Like, the frightening looking IHOP200 yds to the north, with the mostly unlit letters and the few that are left, flickering…*that* looks like a place of win. =^p)
