After reading the reviews, and the fact I was in the area, I stopped for late lunch, I am so glad I did. this place is better than Lone Star any day. I had the porterhouse steak, it was cooked just right, and tender. The place is simple, and very clean. I am a fan, and I am sure I will find myself in the«area» again, and again, and again.

Steak was just ok. Some of our parties meals were cooked right some not. And what kind of steak place doesn’t serve beer?

Well, tonight’s visit was the last nail in the coffin. In previous visits spanning a few years, I visited cowbobas for their cheap, yet still delicious, t-bone steaks. Tonight was the first night I did not have a steak since I started coming here. Having started out at $ 12 a meal, the price has since skyrocketed to $ 16, with a sharp decline in the quality of the meat. The side salads are watery and the dressing is far too vinegary. The service has declined horribly as well. The only server tonight never came to ask about refills, instead sat on a chair in the corner on his phone. Don’t get me wrong, for many years this place has been a favorite, and I will still come for their wontons, but never again for a proper meal.

My family and I are always looking for different restaurants to try and we came across this little place. As we walked in we were comforted to find a nice atmosphere and calm ambiance. The menu is very simple with not much selections. My wife ordered an egg steak burger and I ordered the t-bone. Presentation of food was decent the overall taste and quality of the t-steak was horrible. This place is great for bobas and steak burgers only as far as a steak meal not worth it.

Really impressed! Although the place is not that pretty. Very simpleton and not much décor and nice ambience, the food is amazing. I was so impressed how fast they cooked the food and how well they did. I order a New York and my friend a salmon and they both were medium rare, perfectly cooked! Although m friend did not ask for medium rare salmon I can tell the cooks know how to cook the salmon because if you cooked it any loner it becomes though and dry. This place is a must go!

I’d give it more stars but the location was a little sketchy. I work close by and heard about this place. Steak and Boba??? Why not!!! My steak was perfectly cooked — the other stuff I could’ve done without. The salad was sad — carrots and iceberg lettuce(there may have been a tomato or not, can’t remember), «steamed» vegetables were mushy and/or rubbery(it tasted like frozen vegetables found in the back of your fridge and then nuked) and then the Texas toast — meh. But the steak … as I said it was perfectly cooked. My waiter was nice and pleasant and I’ll probably be back. Oh … I did order Taro Boba but I do know that they have weird flavors like Skittles Boba … I’ll stick to the more normal flavors :-)

I was very skeptical of this place initially, after all, what kind of place pairs boba and steak together? But this was place ended up being a pleasant surprise! I ordered the Taro boba smoothie and the New York strip steak while my boyfriend ordered the T-bone. The boba drink was decent, not too sweet, and best of all, the boba was actually chewy. I think if they soak their boba in brown sugar or honey, it would be even better. Both of us enjoyed the steaks, with the mindset that this isn’t a 5 star steakhouse. We got medium-rare and it was cooked just the way we wanted it. Although the presentation wasn’t there, the texture and taste were just fine. The steak comes with a small salad, toast, and a side. I got the corn and my boyfriend got mashed potatoes. The toast was yummy(super buttery), but the sides were just average. The prices of the steak was very reasonable(less than 20 bucks). I think if you have the expectation that this is a casual, cheap steakhouse, you will be happy with this place. If you come here thinking you will get a fancy steak, this is the wrong place for you.

This is a great little steak place! I had a rib eye which was cooked as ordered… medium rare. Potato was good, Texas toast very yummy and served with ½ of a grilled jalapeño(which unfortunately I did not try). The salad although crisp was very basic iceberg lettuce, which is the only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars. Go and enjoy!

NOTGOOD. the salad was a tiny bowl of iceberg lettuce and shredded carrots drowned in dressing. The mashed potatoes taste fake. Gravy is a weird orange color and not good. The steak I ordered was tasty but not cooked properly. It was over cooked by two grades. The Raspberry boba tastes like watered down Popsicles. Our curiosity was begging us to try it. Won’t be back. Oh. The fries were good. Soooooooo. .. .

Coming from Texas I may have higher steak expectations. Came here with some friends for a lunch before studying for finals. The place looks small from the outside but it had more seating than I expected. The place was pretty clean and the waiter we had was very nice and understanding of my natural indecisiveness. I was pretty excited to see how much food we got with the steak when looking at the menu. Two of us for ribeye and one got the New York strip. With it comes a salad, toast, a jalapeño, and one side. We got the baked potato side. We all also got a Vietnamese coffee and a various Boba smoothies. The salad is simply iceberg lettuce with a few match stick carrots on top. The baked potato only comes with butter and sour cream. The toast was alright. I was already expecting my boba to be artificially flavored, but I wasn’t prepared for it to have so little flavor. The smoothies also wasn’t well mixed. The ice was clumped up. The Vietnamese coffee had too much sweetened condensed milk. The steak itself was cooked correctly at medium rare. However my 10oz steak was 3oz of pure fat and tendon. Not sure why but the taste of the steak itself wasn’t that great so I used steak sauce to make it taste better. It was an average meal, and overall not too impressed with what I received. It wasn’t terrible though, the wait staff was good, and the food was cooked well. So two star deduction for quality and taste of the food.

Ok if your want to compare Cowbobas vs. the Denver institute… Columbine Steak house. I have to say Cowbobas won! My family ordered a couple of T-bones and a Ribeye… both cuts surprisingly tender for being at a «bargain» steakhouse. It’s not fine dining, but both restaurants put out a great value. Cowbobas came out the winner for a couple of reasons. Better seating, more organized, steaks were cooked as ordered. Salad had a little too much dressing but everyone seems to complain about that. Baked potato seemed better at the other place, but you can choose rice here as a side which I love! Char flavor was much stronger at Columbine, so if you are into that, you may prefer Columbine. Didn’t get to try a boba drink but what I saw being made looked great. Also, they take credit cards which is very convenient. Friendly service… great 1st visit!

This place was pretty good. Steaks were very well done, country fried steak tasted like, well, country fried steak, and the boba was very good. The staff was friendly and the environment was very nice, all in all a solid four stars. It didn’t blow me away as the eat place I’ve ever had but hey, prices were reasonable and it was definitely very good. Would definitely recommend it.

Okay, so I was skeptical. I’m a steak snob, but all the places we wanted to go to were out of the way for the night. A friend suggested this place, and so I decided to go for it. Is this the best steak of my life? No. Butbtheh are cheap, and the steak is actually well-cooked. It was well-seasoned, too. No need for steak sauce here. Also, they have this wonderful Jasmine rice that is a wonderful side for this. I didn’t get to try the boba, but I’ll definitely be back.

Cowbobas. Long before I set foot in this restaurant, I knew I would love it. Cheap steak and boba… why? Better question… Why not?! It’s just so fantastically random and weird I had to try it out. I got a chance to do so last week, and Cowbobas completely exceeded my expectations(which weren’t high, I think that’s the trick here). The most important thing to keep in mind is that you can get a decent cut of meat, a piece of Texas toast, a salad, a grilled jalapeño, and a side of your choice for $ 13. $ 13! The steak itself is great– ours both came out perfectly cooked– but don’t expect too much of the sides. The salad is a bowl of iceberg lettuce; the sides are mostly potato themed and obviously not homemade. Whatever. It works here. Maybe you’re reading this and thinking, So what? I can make a way better meal at home for $ 13. Well, I can’t. So the next time I want a cheap and delicious steak this is where I’m coming. True to name, Cowbobas also has a pretty decent selection of bubble tea flavors. I tried a couple, the thai tea and the milk tea, and both were good. You can order them either iced or blended. Another great Federal discovery!

Honestly, I’ve never been to a really really nice steakhouse. The only expensive steakhouse I’ve been to is Elway’s. So I don’t know if I can judge a steakhouse but as a meat lover, I thought I leave my comment. When I tried the food, it tasted like I was eating at home. I ordered the sirloin and my boyfriend ordered t-bone steak. We both ordered medium rare but mine was a little overcooked, which made it medium. So my steak was a little too tough for my liking. However, I gave a 3 out of 5 stars because it is convenient. If you are craving straight up just meat but are too lazy to go buy the steak and grill it, this is a great place to go! Especially since it is cheap. Note: all the steaks come with a side salad and they put too much dressing in the salad. So, I would recommend getting the dressing on the side but up to you! Although I might not be qualified to review the steak, I feel like I’m qualified to review the boba. I am a huge boba fan and since this place is called Cowboba, it is only right that I talk about the boba. First off, I only had the cantaloupe boba so I can’t judge other flavors. With that said, the drink was ok. Not too sweet, but not mind blowing. BUT, the most important part of the boba drink, tapioca balls, they were wayyyyy too soggy. Not a fan at all. I don’t think I would ever order boba from here again, maybe the drinks only but not boba.

This is a truly terrible restaurant. I am just being honest. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. The chicken fried steak was out of a box and not very hot. The mashed potatoes were, I swear, Idahoan or something like that — a mix out of a box. Not fresh or real potatoes. My husband had a ribeye with Texas toast and he was pleased with it. He tasted mine and could see why I was pretty appalled. Here’s the deal: if you’re going to eat at Cowbobas, just get the steak. Don’t get anything else, because the real deal here is the cheap steak, cooked well. Although if you ask me, it’s not that cheap. I could have made it for about the same at home, and it would have been better. No, no, no, no.
