Dan Witten MD

Healthcare 2015 is tough. Finding a solid physician is even harder. I haven’t been to an MD in a while but when the flu caught up with me, I needed one fast! Dr. Witten came highly recommended by a friend for his quirky approach and his professionalism.
Set up an appointment, my friend was right, he does have a quirky sense of humor but does go above and beyond to help. He is very knowledgeable, professional and does care about the patients well being. He was very thorough at the visit and I felt like I was in good hands!
Front desk is tough, but hey 2015, they have to be.
Certainly a minor nuisance for a solid MD. He was caring and professional, even called within 2 days to follow-​up and make sure I was feeling better! Highly recommend.

Always interesting when you can tell the economy is tough just by visiting your Dr’s office. I’ve never been enthusiastic about Dr Witten or his staff, but they are close by and since I already have specialists I see annually I don’t depend on them for my overall health, just for my allergy and other scripts. That said my last 3 – 4 visits have made me reconsider even that!
Service is a second thought sometimes! Admittedly it’s a dr’s office and you can’t expect a bright sunny disposition everyday, but they’re a little over the top with their gruff, curt, and sometimes downright snide communication style in this office. Even my long time pharmacist was a bit taken aback by the attitude he gets when requesting prescription refills for my long term meds.
I’m not going to try to give you a reason why this is the case, because I can’t! It seems as the economy went south, so did their disposition and customer service. Definitely interested in others opinions.

Update:made one last visit… my appt was held up by the fact that they were basically conducting debt collection activities at their front desk right in front of us (patients waiting)… Incredibly unprofessional! The patients just looked on in aw, chins on the floor. That was my last visit, I now have a new PCP!
