Contacted by Linked in about being accurate in my reviews as I guess someone complained. Read my other reviews, I am pretty thorough and accurate. Crap service, food, people equals a crap review. Like I said in my review, the food was good. The staff(non the bartender) was the issue at hand. Hope they have done something about this… but I will never know, as I will not be going back and have alerted my co-workers who work next door.

Great service and great food. Our friends told us about Darcy’s when we first moved to DTC but they said it was a dive bar. It’s far from that! It’s a wonderful Irish pub with tons of character — from the staff that is! They’re genuine nice Irish guys and want you to have a good time. Happy hour is great and their entrees are also tasty. Love the curry fries and chicken avocado melt. Yum!

Working in the area every winter, I have made this establishment a favorite. I normally get my food to go, enjoying a cocktail while waiting. The bartenders are skilled, and the entire staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of menu items. I nice place to go after work.

I’m really disappointed. I lived near Darcy’s for over 2 years. Their Chopped Chicken Salad is my favorite salad anywhere. I recently went in to order the salad and was shocked to find that the price had risen to $ 14 and they cut the size in half! I used to get the full size salad for $ 11. I won’t be back.

Wahhh. I don’t like writing negative reviews; in fact, I only usually do when something is THAT bad… sorry to say, Darcy’s has earned that title. The first time we ever went was about a year ago, when we first moved to town. Drinks were good, service was sloooooow and my bf’s salmon was still frozen in the middle.(Yes, like rock-hard-still-frozen). We didn’t bother saying anything because we were there on a Monday and had the 2 for $ 24.99 deal… we felt we more than got our monies worth with the mussels appetizer, my entrée,(most of) the salmon and dessert. However… A few weeks ago we went for the same deal, and had the worst food poisoning of. my. life. Please understand, I don’t take these kinds of accusations lightly, but I’m sorry to say there’s no doubt it was this. The second the waiter took the lid off the pot of mussels, I knew something smelled off… but I was starving and they were good last time(and yes, I know— WHY am I ordering them in the mountains!?? Maybe I’m in denial? haha!). Whoever says«hindsight is a blessing» is wrong… I keep thinking that I could’ve/should’ve sent those dang things back. So there’s that. We’ll probably go again for some drinks and sports games(maybe when folks come to visit and we want something close to home), but we might not. It’s never really been all that amazingly great in the sense of «I want to pay money to hang out here». It doesn’t even pull off the«yeah-we’re-slummy-but-in-an-old-neighborly-divey” — kind of way :(

She says it’s to die for!!! I tasted and I agree… I had a salad and I was amazed on their awesome take on a Greek Type Salad… It was awesome… I am looking forward to the Reuben Sandwich and Prime Rib!!! Going for our anniversary on Wednesday!!!

First time I went I ordered the salmon. It was literally frozen in the middle. I didn’t complain. Second time I went we got the mussells for the apetizer. WORSTFOODPOISONINGEVER. My throat hurt 3 days afterwards because the vomiting was so violent. I live across the street and will never go here again. Food is not fresh.

I went here on a first(and emphatically last) date. Bad company aside, I had a positive experience here, starting with drinks and ending with cottage pie(shepherd’s pie made with beef instead of lamb) for dinner. The service was good, even to the overly demanding imbecile across from me. The cottage pie was good, though not the best I have ever had. This is a place is one I would like to return.

Great drinks and food Irish nachos with corn beef melted chips that are fried fresh. Great bar good app then the club sandwiches was great and the french dip with perfect cooked meat grilled onions and the great au jus that made the whole meal Come together. The French fries seem to be optimo prime fries that are coated in potato starch and refried for a perfect crunch in ever bite. The drinks here were a great pour on all items that were ordered from Jamison and ginger, jack and Coke, Moscow mule, and a fine good beer on tap selection. Music played while everyone enjoyed there selfs. Great place over all to eat and have a meal and conversation. Will come back.

As an Irish native, it’s just ok, very much the sports bars feel, but at least they play European soccer, hurling, rugby etc. I am vegetarian so food choices are limited, but enjoyed the Smithwicks on tap. No Harp(disappointing) as it’s the light beer of Ireland but still a lot better than the abundance of Coors and Budweiser products on tap…

I go to this place quite a bit… not because it is good, but because it is close & has decent happy hour specials. I like the Irish & English beer on draft, but the food is so-so(not bad, but not great). The service is hit & miss. There are a couple of great servers, but most are just okay. Service at the bar is pretty bad… the bartender more interested in talking to his friends than keeping up with patrons(isn’t this a tip business?). Yes, I’ll be back, but only for a couple drinks after work. Much better options in DTC

Any place that serves Guinness on tap is all right by me. Add to that the fact that they’ve got a decent patio, it’s walking distance from the office, and they’ve got good food for lunch, and you can see why I like Darcy’s. I’ve ordered the chicken bacon ranch club, the French dip, and the burger. The burger is pretty good, and the French dip and the chicken bacon ranch club are really good! The fries are pretty tasty as well. Service could use some improvement, especially on the patio. I’ve been there a few times trying to catch the server’s eye to get our bill, or some utensils, or a drink refill, or a check. It usually results in me just going up to the nearest server and asking for it myself. At least the servers aren’t surly. They’re pretty friendly, just a bit too spacy some times. Overall, it’s worth going. Is it somewhere I have to take out-of-town visitors? No. Is it somewhere I’m likely to visit if I wasn’t already in the area? No. But it’s a good place for when I’m already in that neck of the woods.

TL;DR: The server Drew took my ID because I ordered a Moscow Mule. The cup that the drink was served in is made of copper. They held my ID until the cup was returned. I finished my meal with my party of 12 people, stayed after 20 mins as the server was cleaning. The cup was returned, I didn’t get my ID back. x2 this because my friend also had his ID taken and not returned. Long story: My party of 12 folks arrived shy of 9PM on a Thurs. evening. The place had folks but not super busy or crowded. I was told 2 ladies who were there before us had to be moved tables because our party was large. I was told later that they were moved twice! So unprofessional. Our dinner went well. We got great service from Drew. He was helpful and delightful. His service was not the problem. It was the bartender who had this awful policy where they wanted to keep the IDs of the people who ordered a Moscow Mule. The cups used were copper in material, which is pretty valuable. At this point, I didn’t care because I wasn’t going to retract my order since a Moscow Mule sounded great at the end of a long work day. Our party ate and paid our bill. At which point, half of our party left to go back to our hotel. We left approximately 10 – 15 mins after the first half left. At no point did the cups leave our table and Drew was busing our table throughout the end of our meal. My friend realized that his ID was missing at 1AM when he couldn’t get back into his hotel room. The front desk asked for ID, which he didn’t have. I realized the morning after that I didn’t have idea because I couldn’t pick up my work badge for the entire weekend. Not a great start to my trip. I called in the morning once they opened. Drew answered the phone and said he nor anyone who would be available could not deliver our two IDs taken the night before. I was staying at the Marriot Tech Center which is less than a 5 mins walk away. I definitely would not recommend ordering the Moscow Mule and do not give them your ID! Drew is a good server so I definitely would praise his service!

They do have some good food + drink specials from time to time but otherwise don’t bother with the food it’s pretty generic. I can’t remember anything I’ve eaten here honestly, granted there’s only a few veggie options to begin with, mostly fried. The only food I remember is the fish and chips my husband ordered because it smelled really off and didn’t taste right to him. He had a cubano sandwich another time that was good though. The main reason for the two star review is the service. Everyone seems friendly enough but if you’re only stopping in for a few happy hour drinks good luck getting the check. On several occasions I had to chase the server down once they realized we were only staying for a few drinks because they just didn’t come back to our table. Once I can forgive but this has happened every time we’ve gone in and it’s never busy enough to excuse avoiding our table.

I stopped by here on my way back from a print workshop in South Dakota and I was not disappointed. The bartender Danny(I believe) recognized me from my visit last Fall and was very attentive to my drinking and dining needs. I had an order of fried pickles, the 10oz prime rib, and some cheesecake for desert. Awesomesauce! The Avery IPA’s were darn good, too. I was very happy with this visit. Darcy’s has yet to disappoint me. I will be coming back in late August as I have some business in Denver at that time. Darcy’s better be ready for me. ;)

Good Irish food, decent Irish’y beer. The atmosphere is better than you’d think from the outside. The best part though is their weekend brunch. Not advertised, they serve mimosa’s, bloody mary’s, coffee and about 5 breakfast items, from 10am-4pm. You read that right, if you wake up late but really want breakfast to recover, Darcy’s will feed you that breakfast food till 4pm on the weekends. I have to recommend the«Irish Breakfast» too. It comes with Bangers, Rashers, blood and white pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs, and a thick slice of Irish brown bread. Their Irish Bangers, which later in the day may be a little stale from being under a heat lamp for too long, are crazy good on a Saturday morning. They also have a nice porch and garage doors to let in that fresh breeze on nice days. During the snowy winters, they have big fireplaces to sit by.

Hey, another pub! Just what DTC needs! Seriously, there are too many. You would think this would inspire healthy competition, but they are all just mediocre, this one included. It is smallish, so don’t even try on St. Pat’s. They have a cool retro feel with the giant bar and some fancy tile work. They were very busy when we were there, but our server took good care of us. Boring beer menu. Need to catch up with the rest of Colorado and have some fun stuff. Irish or Scottish beers, we get it. There are some amazing local stouts and ales that are made traditionally. Oskar Blues Old Chub Scotch Ale? You will sell a lot of it. Some interesting sounding food on the menu, but it was all«meh» once it came to us. We had Irish Nachos(potato chips, corned beef, horseradish sauce, etc.). The sauce was great, but the chunks of beef were too big and had to be cut. Not enough toppings. Chips were stale. *sigh* The«adult» mac and cheese? What on earth made it «adult»? Never figured that out. We were sitting near the bar and there was an odor… sewery. It kept wafting around our table. Very off-putting. Need to get that fixed.

This place has an extremely active trivia night on Saturdays. There were at least 30 teams and lucky for user came out 20th the week we came. If your party is more than 6 people, you’ll need to split up. But there are plenty of teams of two, so no worries! People here are friendly. There are 8 rounds and and lightning question when you run up to turn in your paper. Send a quick thinker. Luckily, it’s happy hour by the time your halfway through trivia night. They serve beer, and assortment of cocktails, and wine. I was happy to find the merlot. The appetizers work well with the cocktails and the serves are knowledgable and polite. If it’s winter, avoid a table by the door. It can get a bit chilly.
