As a long-term stay hotel that allows pets, this place feels more like a crappy apartment complex than it does a hotel. From the front desk shouting matches over the availability of smoking rooms to the parking lot tailgating, you’ll see a little bit of a lot of humanity if you’re here for a little while. A few things: if you aren’t an extended stay guest you’ll need a ticket for the«continental breakfast»(such as it is). I asked about breakfast when I checked in and no such ticket was mentioned. My second morning there I was asked to produce my ticket which was just confusing. I was able to get one at the front desk, but you may not want to bother. The breakfast itself is the weakest I’ve encountered — cold hard boiled eggs, bagged bread for toasting, cereal, coffee, a neon orange drink, yogurts and some cheap pastries. There’s a decent truck stop café in walking distance. I recommend it. The«business center» is home to the most ancient and decrepit of Compaq’s, the 20 minute usage limit for which is ignored. The place does have a pool(I didn’t use it), laundry facilities(handy) and a kitchenette(I found the fridge and microwave useful). It’s not the cleanest place ever, but it allows pets, so I find that to be expected. This place gets 2 stars simply for fulfilling my needs of pet housing for my 3 cats while I looked for an apartment in town. Also, the staff is friendly. If the fire alarm goes off and they seem just as unconcerned as the firemen slowly ambling into the building do, just assume it’s because someone burned their bacon again. I did. Keep your expectations low and they’ll be met.

i’ll start with the poor customer service at the front dest, move on through the lobby into the cigarette smoke smelling hallways, up through the elevators that seemed like they might fall apart at any minute, and into the room, which was decent and clean. the website says you can check out at noon. this is false. checkout is at 11. the website says they have kitchens in the rooms, which is true, but if you want to cook you need to check in before 4pm and leave a $ 50 deposit, which is not mentioned. we were looking forward to cooking something and to say the least, were let down when we got off the interstate and could not get even a single pot to cook in. we had an east-facing room and the heavy dark curtains didn’t close, making it difficult to sleep much. also, the window, at about a foot and a half from the ground, had no latch to keep it closed, which made us thankful we didn’t have children. the front desk people when we checked in were merely unhelpful. when we checked out they were rude to my wife and talked to her like she didn’t speak english. it would seem this establishment is the bastard cousin of the Victory Inn in Ann Arbor, or at least it’s peer.
