Great little corner restaurant for breakfast or brunch! Benedicts are all amazing, and the kitchen sink has a little bit of everything. One of my favorite places for breakfast. Oh, and the pancakes are great as well.

Loves the brunch at DJ’s! We had a friendly waitress’s and the food was on point. That particular morning we all ordered Benedicts. My husband got the New York Benedict and I got the New Mexico Benedict, we were not let down. The hollandaise was a bit too thin for my liking but still good flavors. The chorizo on the New Mexico was great and the poblano had a fantastic kick to it. The corned beef on the New York was on point, crispy and tender all in one. Drink options are good, great red beer and screwdrivers. We will definitely visiting again and trying out some new things on the menu, we hear the savory waffle dish is not to be missed! The only reason I am not giving five stars was due to the somewhat cramped seating(they got pretty busy) and that we did have some issues with our order but nothing even worth mentioning or getting into.

Wandering around the Golden Triangle and decided to stop in here for lunch. Great decision! Nice looking place with outdoor seating for good weather.(Bitter cold this day!) Wait staff were very friendly. Several different people looked after us as they passed. The breakfast looked great as I scanned other plates. But we decided to do lunch. My wife got the Goat Cheese salad with chicken. She loved it. It was a very large salad and took her a while to finish but she resolved to down it all midway through it. It included dates, nuts and fried goats cheese in a citrus vinegarette. I had the Cubano. Pork, veggies and wonderful spicy mustard on a very fresh ciabatta. Outstanding. It came with a fruit cup and I got the garden side salad as well. Just a great meal. We both felt very satisfied and happy afterward. Great location, building, service and food. Highly recommend and cannot wait to go agai and try something else. Just visiting but most exciting prospect is we have a loft about 2 blocks away! Will definitely make this regular stop!

HOLYHELL! I’ve died and gone to brunch heaven. After a night on the town, all that sounded good to me was a nice warm breakfast in my belly and a cup of coffee. This is the perfect place if you’re looking for any of the following: 1. DELICIOUS homemade green chilies — and food for that matter! this place is LEGIT. I ordered the«kitchen sink» breakfast — which consisted of fresh potatoes, bacon, ham and 2 eggs — smothered with green chilie! we also feasted on the California benedict, biscuits and gravy and the massive breakfast burrito! 2. A low key chill environment. We arrived around 830 on a Sunday — which I figured would be packed with a wait — but I was wrong! come early :) 3. Killer prices. 4. ALCOHOL — I didn’t feast on any beve’s(probably because I was still hungover) but I’ve heard all good things about their concoctions. MMMM! I will DEF return for another delicious feast!

They used to do basically everything better, but something has changed, and the service and food quality was really disappointing. Bummer.

I almost don’t want to review this place so that it does not become a crazy sh*t show of a breakfast establishment that so many have. We enjoyed breakfast here and the food was delicious, there was a zero wait, super friendly staff and a nice selection of creative food options plus you standard breakfast items. It felt very dinner ish inside. Clean and fast which fit the bill! Would highly recommend!

Some of the best breakfast I’ve had in Denver! Was craving something sweet and their strawberry stuffed French toast hit the spot! I paired it with an amazing caramel apple latte! They also have almond milk here… BONUS! The servers are all friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back and recommend!!!

Another great spot for brunch in Denver! I hadn’t heard of this place until recently but while it may not have the same name recognition as the very popular Snooze, Lucile’s, and Jelly Café, the food is just as good. Was glad not to find that there was no waiting time on a Sunday morning. I ordered an omelette which came with potatoes, fruit and buttered toast. As other Unilocalers have mentioned the food portions were large. More importantly, the food was delicious and service was fast and friendly. I noticed that a lot of people were ordering the pancakes… maybe next time!

Decent food. Bad service. Short staffed. Only saw our waitress once. Tried to charge us for an orange juice and a coffee that was never brought to us. Manager was trying to help other tables but never ours. We eat out a lot. #disappointed #djcafe

When you have a dish that you absolutely love, and there is a place that you know of that makes the best version of this dish ever. You think it will never be dethroned. The eggs Benedict at DJ’s now claims crown to the best Benedict I have had anywhere. In particular, the corned beef Benedict which our server also made a point to state was her favorite. Yeah, no shit. because it is freaking delicious! Perfectly poached eggs. Nothing annoys me more than eggs improperly poached. Sat at the bar with my buddy. It’s fairly crowded. We did notice a waiting list for tables, but I think we were able to sit immediately because two others were standing up and we were able to weasel right in. Prices are okay, and the people there seem pretty low-key. It’s really diner feely, and the place isn’t trying to be anything it’s not. «Hey, we have awesome food and that’s that» So happy we decided to go here. My friend almost turned me away, but I am glad I was not swayed. If I knew the Benedict was this good and missed it, I would punch him.

One of Denver’s least pretentious brunch spots! My roomie and I were searching for some hangover fuel last Sunday when I stumbled upon this place on Unilocal(big surprise!). Not necessarily dressed to impress in our Brunch Best, we found we fit right in at DJ’s. Very relaxed and homey environment… it sort of actually feels like my grandmother’s house complete with a random assortment of coffee mugs — well, at least if my grandmother knew how to make egg’s benedict. I ordered the kitchen sink and my roommate ordered an omelette. We both left very happy and very stuffed, with half of our food in to-go boxes(I must admit this is highly out of the ordinary for the two of us). Read the reviews and trust your fellow Unilocalers on this one. DJ’s is a keeper!

How did I not know this place existed? I live a few blocks away and I will definitely make it a point to stop by. Try the kitchen sink! Funny story, I came here with a group of coworkers and looked up the menu online beforehand. The kitchen sink is a breakfast dish(they serve breakfast and lunch) with potatoes smothered in green chile, eggs and a breakfast meat sounded — I made up my mind and I was going to order that. When we arrived I was tempted between breakfast and lunch. Everything on the menu looks SO good and I ended up getting the chicken salad sandwich on a baguette. It was amazing. Next time I might opt for a side other than fries, because the bread is thick. Everyone in my group seemed very pleased with their options as there is a lot of variety, our gluten free people and vegetarians were also happy — so this is a good place for groups, especially those with dietary restrictions. I came back to Dj’s 9th Avenue Café in hopes of once again trying the kitchen sink and alas, they had an amazing special that day. It was eggs benedict with pulled pork, poblano chile peppers and a chipotle hollandaise sauce — how could I resist? Again, I was really impressed with my meal. They seem to do everything really well, so I don’t think there isn’t anything bad on the menu. One day, I’ll come in and have the kitchen sink! By the way, there is metered parking out front!

It truly wasn’t anything extraordinary. The food was delicious. Don’t get me wrong but I thought it was just OK. I felt for the price it should’ve been a lot better. The best part of my meal was the potatoes. I had the salmon Benedict as the waitress said it was awesome. Like I said, nothing extraordinary. It was a little bland and I also felt it didn’t have enough salmon. Service was great as well as the ambiance. Only 3 stars for me. I probably will not go back for a second try.

Went here this morning for breakfast on the recommendation of a friend. They said it is one of their fave breakfast places in Denver so we knew we had to try it. We got there right at 8 and were able to sit down right away. The place was getting a lot busier when we left so I have to imagine they run a pretty long wait for breakfast. Definitely order the kitchen sink — the green chili is to die for. It is a ton of food so we split that and a half order of the PB&J French toast. We were super disappointed in the French toast. It’s on sourdough bread which didn’t seem to jive well with the PB&J. I usually love sourdough bread but I just wasn’t a fan this time. The server was awesome(she was the one who recommended the kitchen sink). Always made sure we had enough water and coffee which is wonderful! We’ll definitely be back — we’ll just skip on the French toast next time!

I knew when I walked in to dj’s on the 1st day they opened, this was going to be my new breakfast spot. Dj’s has a very inviting feel, warm colors on the walls, rotating art work, tables with blown up pictures of cereal. Some how I have only had to wait 2 times for a table here, which is pretty amazing. I have tried most of the entrees on the menu, and have only had one thing I didn’t like. It was the chicken pot pie, I should’ve known better to order a chicken pot pie at a breakfast restaurant. Silly me. Other than that, I love love love the banana walnut pancakes and the breakfast burrito. I also love that they have about 10 different kinds of loose leaf tea when I am not in the mood for a coffee. I’m so glad dj’s is in my hood!

A solid addition to my brunch repertoire! Delicious food, great coffee, outstanding Bloody Marys on an extensive menu of adult beverages, friendly staff, all on the same block as the gym? Sold! Previous reviews mention some creative baked goods; such as pb&j french toast and blueberry pancakes, which I didn’t get to try this trip. I can recommend the eggs and Canadian Bacon. My husband really liked the breakfast burrito, just wanted more of it… always a good thing, right? I actually like smaller portions, looking around the restaurant it didn’t look like anyone was leaving hungry :) There was a table of 7 waiting to be seated when we arrived, and a line outside when we left. Get here early, preferably after a good workout, and enjoy!
