Factotum Brewhouse

Terrific beer and fun atmosphere! We tried the flights of beer and discovered that the conundrum brew was one of the best we’ve tried amongst the various breweries we’ve been to over the past several months.

Love this brewery. Super inviting atmosphere, great staff & amazingly nice owners. Try the coffee brown & imperial chocolate stout blend @ 1:1 ratio. It melds the flavors of both beers perfectly.

Certainly one of the best breweries in town, probably the whole state.
Wonderful beer, tasty and delicious every single time no matter what. The staff is actually the best in the state: they are so knowledgeable about the beer you’d like they were a computer, are crazy nice & polite, and are blatantly in love with their jobs.
The location is obviously well-​loved, taken care of, clean, warm, and inviting.
They had a Beer & Cookie pairing a few weeks ago, which was so much fun I was sad when it ended.
I have been here multiple times and will be back many more to come.

Came here on new year’s day and for my first beer of the 2016 calendar year, I couldn’t have been more pleased. We had the Local 303 Red IPA and the Rye Guy which both passed the litmus test. Great selection of different beer types with a cool concept of bringing in guest brewers.
The interior is cozy and homey feeling replete with big wood community tables. Although I didn’t play, I specifically liked the inclusion of the ping pong table. What could be a better brewpub activity than ping pong?
The brewery felt like a community and I could tell many were regulars. From sourcing their tamales they were offering that day from a joint down the street, to a wall of events including yoga, live music, homebrewer madness bracket challenge (suiting for the upcoming March madness), and «Euchre Night» (yeah I had to look that up, but sounds awesome). Additionally, all of their beers were reasonably priced at $ 5 a pint as opposed to the few that are creeping up to the $ 6 and $ 7 as the norm.
I rarely get up to this part of town, but will certainly make an effort based on Factotum alone. Wish it was closer to my hood as I can assure you, I’d be a regular.

I came here with a friend to celebrate his birthday with a beer. I love the idea that all the brews are from home brewer recipes. I had the chocolate stout and also kombucha they have on tap.
The man who poured our beers was extremely nice and personable, which made for a nice experience. It was a little dead on a Tuesday as it was just my friend and I and 2 other men playing ping pong.
The atmosphere is welcoming while still having that warehouse/​modern industrial feel. I would definitely come back to this brewery again!

Awesome place in the neighborhood. We visited today and met Chris, one of the co owners. A wealth of information and served some great beer. The atmosphere was great as well. I look forward to more visits and signing up to make some beer soon.

Stopped in here for the first time a few nights ago. The Strikethrough imperial chocolate stout was heavenly! I can’t wait to take my sister here when she’s in town. Highly recommend this fun little brewhouse (:

The idea behind Factotum is simple but so very unique. They let homebrewers sign up to partner with the Factotum team to brew, and the finished product is served in the taproom for all to enjoy. This means there is a constantly changing taplist featuring many unique and wonderful beers that you won’t find anywhere else. We’ve been several times and always found a new favorite brew. It’s such a fun concept that allows some really incredible homebrewers to brew on pro equipment, and we all benefit by enjoying the beers they create.
The other reason I love Factotum is the staff. Every single time we’ve visited, the staff here has simply been the nicest brewery staff around. They are always excitied to chat with us about the beers and the stories behind the brew, and are very helpful when we have a tough time choosing which beer to try next.
The Factotum location is beautiful. The rustic décor and neighborhood feel make the place very welcoming. For the beer, the friendly atmosphere, and the comfortable surroundings, this is one of our favorite new local breweries.

I hate to give a bad review to a young brewery; however, that being said, I don’t think their beers are up to the professional, sellable level yet. My husband and I are IPA and stout people first and foremost, so when we do a flight of all ten of your beers and your overly coffee forward brown ale, that tastes more like a coffee than a beer, is our favorite, that says something. The IPA, pale ale, rye ale, and red pale ale were all distinctly missing any real hoppy flavor or aroma. The imperial chocolate stout had a weird, off-​putting banana aroma and flavor, and the winter ale was like chewing on a balsam candle. Whoever brewed that couldn’t possibly have thought that much pine tree flavor was palatable. There is a distinct difference between a decent home brew and a professional caliber beer. $ 21 + tip for an underwhelming beer flight was disappointing. I’m also not a huge fan of the cupcake trays being used for their beer flights. While unique, the pool of beer that results in the bottom of the pan made it so the tasters drip beer on you as well as the bar. Then you wind up putting your arms in it or dragging your hair through it. I like to drink my beer, not wear it. I wish these guys the best. On the plus side, they have a great indoor and outdoor space and play some pretty decent music. Everyone has to start somewhere, and hopefully these guys will learn and their beers will get better in time.

Amazing concept, out-​of-​this world brews and friendly employees! I will always come here when I visit Denver!

Had the Winter Ale. Can’t say I was impressed.

New (ish) brewery located just a street over from Diebolt Brewhouse, a little more spacious than DB though, with dimmer lighting to set the mood for the live music offered on that Thursday night. The bartenders/​owners very knowledgeable and helpful when trying to make beer selections. No food offered, but saw a popcorn machine pushed back in a corner. Food truck (s) either out front or nearby

My first time here. I love the concept of the restaurant in which they support local individual brewers. Prices were reasonable in that a glass is $ 5 & a taster was $ 2. I ended up getting 5 tasters which allowed me to drink ⁵⁄₆ beers they had.
Reason why ⁴⁄₅ stars is that the only caveat is not to come to this place hungry as they do not have food. They do however promote nearby restaurants and have a book of menus … It’s ok to bring outside food here.
One ping pong table … Was real fun to play after visiting the bar.
Bottom line: I’d come back to visit. Great staff, great local beer, and laid back ambiance. Worth it.

I loved this place. The rotating beers from home brewers were all delicious! The space itself is really open and comfortable, and the bartender was extremely nice and helpful. We will definitely be coming back.

Ahhhhh Factotum has to be one of my new favorite breweries in Denver! Not only do they have a great variety of delicious beers but everything else was also excellent. The bartenders were super friendly and willing to chit chat and answer any questions. The space is super cute — creative and lots to look at while you’re enjoying your beer. They have a ping pong table, some cornhole, and some board games. An awesome addition to the craft brewery scene.

A fantastic little brewery near downtown Denver.
This place was recommended to me by a friend and the quality of beer didn’t disappoint. My wife and I were both able to find something we liked. A couple different flavors were excellent (at least for my pallet). They also had a couple non alcoholic brews like kombucha (fermented tea) and root beer. Very trendy. The staff was incredibly friendly and enjoyed discussing their brewing process and flavors. I’d highly recommend Factotum to visitors to the area who aren’t familiar with Denver’s microbrewery culture.
The setting is modern industrial but very clean. It looks like it used to be an automotive repair shop. It’s cleaned up to show exposed wood rafters and distressed concrete. The bar lights are made from old welding gas tanks, which added a unique industrial touch. It was a little cool when we were there but it looks like they can open up the large door in front to give a nice breeze on summer evenings. The door is glass so it allowed plenty of natural light. They had a good number of patrons while we were there and contemporary music playing in the background (at a volume that still allowed easy conversation) that gave a very young and energetic feel.
Based on the quality of their beer I think they’re slightly under priced so when they become a neighborhood staple they’re prices should probably go up. For now though, it’s a very reasonable.
I expect Factotum Brewhouse is going to be around for a long time.

Instantly greeted with a warm hello by Luke the bartender and Chris the part-​owner as we walked in on this rainy Tuesday. The decode is modern but still welcoming.
We really enjoyed talking with Chris about the concept; home brewing and allowing amateur Brewers to come in and use their own recipes! What a cool idea. You can tell these guys love what they do.
I had the peach ale and loved it, my boyfriend had the IPA and it wasn’t his favorite, although he liked it.
We were just waiting out traffic but will for sure be back and want to try more beers along with their specialty salsa and chips. Also I was impressed they are one of the few breweries that have kombucha and ginger beer on tap– such a nice option for when people want to go out but not drink. We will be back!

We love this brewery. Solid offerings like the Juniper IPA, and they aren’t afraid to take chances with interesting beers like the recently tapped vanilla coconut porter. The home brewer/​guest brewer concept is awesome and makes the experience here feel more like a community-​driven one. Friendly staff and owners, and one of the best interiors of all Denver breweries in my opinion – modern but super warm with the reclaimed wood and metal lighting sculptures over the bar. Check them out and do a taster of all of their beers to find the one you like. With a delicious Kombucha on tap, love that my friends who aren’t beer fans or who can’t drink alcohol for whatever reason have a great option. Pro tip: order some excellent pizza from Denver Deep Dish a block away!
Also, was there again recently and sat on the new patio picnic tables in the sun – my favorite new place for patio beers.

This little Gem was on my list for a while. And its closer to downtown then I thought.
I managed to stumble in on Easter, and was surprised they were open.
The Brewery was a Former Photo Studio and Art Gallery and still has certain elements showing of that.
The Staff so Friendly. And personable. I recommend sitting at the bar and holding a conversation with them. Because what else goes with beer besides frienly people.
Had a easter egg hunt for adults on easter score.
No Food Truck was there. But Chubbys is on the corner.
Now on to the beers. I started out with the Peach Cobbler Ale. Only thing I was missing was a side of Ice Cream it was that good.
Then the Coconut Vanilla Porter which was the best Ive ever had. And it had the most beautiful taste of coconut and slightly sweet.
And if you want to Scream MERICA, Try out the American Amber.
Bring your Growler and Take one for the road. You wont be disappointed.

There’s just no reason you aren’t here right now. Unless you hate beer. That’s a reason. This is a cool place with a completely novel concept. I’m not going to cheapen it with my description. You owe yourself a visit.
