Foothills Golf Course

Best little par 3 going for $ 11. Most of the time I can just walk right on. The course is well maintained and fairly challenging for a beginner. You can make it a bit harder as you get better by playing from the rear tees and bringing the hazards more into play.
Most everyone there is pretty friendly and if you’re golfing solo they will usually let you play through if no one is ahead.
The pro shop is in the back underneath the main building, just in case you were looking for it. Above that is the restaurant, I enjoy the extra large patio where you can watch the sunset behind the mountains all the while looking at nothing but green!

Dropped by on a whim. Took forever to get on, but this course is in fantastic shape. Not the longest, but long enough. Some good holes, some really good. Kind of a long drive for me to get there, but worth it.

I will never play here again. Let’s start at the beginning. I had booked a tee time for 3 golfers, one of the golfers in the group was t boned by a drunk driver at 1130 on a Tuesday morning. The lady with brown hair at the pro shop had no sympathy and even charged me for his round claiming «if he isn’t here, someone is gonna have to pay for his round and it sure isn’t gonna be us.» She is one of the nastiest individuals I have ever met at a golf course. This is a city course and they treated me with such disrespect. When I finally got on to the course $ 100+ later, the course was completely full of geese and goose poop. Every green we would have to clear out the goose poop so that we could make our putts. I will never support or play this course again and I suggest that anyone serious about the game of golf will do the same. Final word: You are not a country club (not even close) so quit with the ego. Show respect and quality customer service.

We played a quick twilight Par 3. It was a great value ($ 6 to walk) and was a good course. There were no yardage markers and a lot of goose poop.

Today, my brother and I decided to go play a round of golf, and settled on Foothills golf course because of its proximity to our home. I am an average golfer at best, and this was my first time out this year so naturally, I had some cobwebs to dust off. My brother has golfed maybe once in his life. Halfway through the first hole, the marshall stopped us and told us that we’d be «better off» on the executive course. I told him that I was more than willing to let the threesome behind us play through, but he kept insisting we would have a much more enjoyable time on the shorter executive course. After relenting to his persuasion, we switched to the executive course after being refunded the difference. While waiting for our tee time, we decided to chip and putt on the practice green. After chipping my first ball-​well away from the other golfers on the green-​another guest of the course shouted at me to «knock it off because I don’t want to get hit.» After this incident I decided I’d have enough and immediately went back to the clubhouse to have my money refunded. The entire time we were at Foothills, I felt we were being babysat because the marshall interrupted us numerous times. If you’re going to play here, apparently you must be of championship caliber because they do not have any tolerance for novice golfers. Save yourself a headache and take your money elsewhere.

This review is just for the regulation course. My first time here was on Memorial Day, so it took almost 5 hours to play, but I’m not going to hold that against them. Any Memorial Day round on a public course is probably going to take that long. The thing I had the hardest time getting over here was how similar all the holes were. Only a few really stood out to me, otherwise it was the same thing all day. It lacked character, and it looked like the executive actually has more since it looks like it’s built on the side of the mountain. Course itself was in decent shape. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. Greens were a bit bumpy and the tee boxes weren’t always as closely mown as you’d like, otherwise it was fine. Like I said though, nothing that’ll make you super impressed. Value was alright. $ 40 for 18 holes walking on a holiday. Pretty fair, I thought. Staff was pretty friendly. Starter was the only person there who seemed to lack any sort of helpfulness. I’d give this place 3.5 stars if I could, but I can’t bring myself to give it 4 stars.

First time here and had a great day. The course is nice, there’s a fence you just don’t cross… I mean how often can you play golf bordering a correctional facility…
The greens were in great shape, fairways were practically divot less, grabbed a hot dog at the turn and a cold brew.
And then, on the 14^th hole, Mother Nature showed who’s boss., forcing us to seek shelter and libations at the 19^th hole. I will return with vengeance Ms. Nature.

Nice golf course close to home. I have played here more than anywhere else. It has a solid 18 hole championship course, a great little 9 hole executive course and a really fun 9 hole par 3 course.
They also have a nice driving range, chipping area and putting greens. The course is well kept with a nice little bar and restaurant in the club house.

Good bang for your buck. This place has a driving range, championship 18 course, an executive course, and a Par 3 course. This keeps it less crowded on each course. You can usually get on the saem day. The best deal is $ 13 for Twilight which starts at 6:27pm. You can definitely get 9 in before it gets dark.
The championship course is not too difficult, but not wide open either. There are many dog legs and water hazards to avoid. It is a hilly course, with a few holes that slope straight up and a few that slope straight down.
When you go, just try to avoid Rick, the starter, he thinks he owns the place. He single handedly prevented this review from being 5 stars!
