I would not recommend — I have been a customer for about a year and a half — recently, my area suffered a power outage for a couple of hours. When I got home from work, power was on and everything seemed fine, I set my alarm everyday following and the system acted completely normal. During Thanksgiving I was out of town and had a dog-sitter staying at my place. I logged into my account(something I never do) only to discover that my alarm has not been communicating with Frontpoint since the power outage. When complaining to the customer service agent he noted that this happens and it may have gone to spam. Two things about that explanation — 1. I get emails from Frontpoint all the time so I’m not sure if they use a different address and if so, why? 2. This seems like a matter of some importance and to send 1 email and forget about it seems like incredibly bad service. The kicker is that the dog-sitter thought she set the alarm off and called to cancel the alarm. I wasn’t part of the conversation but why would they pretend to cancel a non-existent alarm(because it wasn’t connected) and then, again, not follow-up with what was going on with my alarm. Talked to the service customer person today — of course he can’t fix unless I am at home and of course he cannot tell me what I would need to do to cancel(have to transfer). I’m sure I will have to be something to get out of contract(another thing — a 3 year contract seems kind of unreasonable in this day and age) but they’ve proven themselves incompetent. Not sure if they were good and fell off a cliff or their previous accolades and awards were undeserved. Either way, I would stay away.

We were customers for a year and everything was great… until we needed them to actually secure our home. The first time an alarm went off, they sent police to the wrong address. Luckily it was someone who forgot the code. The second time, they said they were dispatching but then decided not to send police. So my husband comes home and the neighbor said there was someone in our house. We had to call the police after we drove 30 minutes home. It doesn’t matter how good the customer service is if they can’t/won’t get police to the right place at the right time.
