Grafenberg offers the best long-​form improv school in Denver. The teachers are friendly, welcoming, and insightful, and the space at the Atlas Theater is inviting and comfortable.

This program is the best and I am so glad I found it! Justin Franzen (the owner and teacher) is so passionate about improv and teaching and he truly cares about all of his students. His belly laughs of joy every time he watches them perform prove it. I also know this because I took four levels at Grafenberg and was on a student team for a year. Justin always had my back and I always felt supported. This school gave me the freedom to be myself, be silly and to always have fun. All the guys that teach are so freakin funny and talented that my face would hurt from laughing any time I was around them. If you take classes here you are not only learning improv but you are gaining an entire community of hilarious friends. I have been an actor for several years now and I have grown the most at Grafenberg. I have so many wonderful memories hanging out with my improv buddies and taking risks on stage with them. This school and the times that I have had will always have a special place in my heart… and so will Justin, and Reid, and Mark, and Max, and Joe. Take a class… DO IT!

I wanted something new to try before turning 30 and taking improv classes was one of the best choices I ever made. Every single teacher in this school is knowledgeable, caring, and relaxed. I have learned so much in the past year and my confidence has soared. I would recommend taking classes here to anyone who is even a little curious about expanding their horizons.
