I was staying at the Westin and had dinner here. I ordered the safest thing on the menu: the Grill & Vine Burger with bacon & cheddar. We were all pretty hungry and asked for some bread, which was ok… the crust was a little dark. Of all the drinks they had I was surprised to find they don’t have sangria! A little disappointing. I was also disappointed when my burger came out and saw it had mayo on it… The menu didn’t say anything about mayo. Lettuce, onion, and tomato, but no mention of mayo. I discarded the top half of my burger and ate the bottom half with my fries. It was still more than enough food. So this place gets the job done, but nothing impressive, especially for the price.

Grill and Vine was a great restaurant to visit while we were staying at the Westin. The atmosphere of Grill and Vine was great and our waitress had great service and often joked with us as well. They had great looking modern chandeliers and a big long bar area, although there was no open seats there for us. The waitress noticed us looking for a place at the bar and quickly cleaned off a table nearby and offered it to us. How nice! The food and drinks at Grill and Vine were delicious! I ordered the Steak Frites and the steak was HUGE! The taste of the steak was amazing, but the fries could have been a little better(more seasoning and more hot). All-in-all I would come here again and recommend it to anyone needing to kill time before a flight or while staying at the Westin.

Where to begin… ambiance is great, service is great, food is great. But why two stars? Two stars for two eyes… of a mouse… that runs around and hides under all the tables. The tables that are set as traps? No, the actual guest dining tables. We videoed it and told the waiters and managers about it — «You know there’s a mouse running around in here right?» Response — «Yeah, we’ve been trying to catch it for a while.»(And not for a day or two, but a while.) Followed by «Yeah, we’ve tried everything(except mouse traps or an exterminator). There’s pigeons that get in, too.» We didn’t get any sort of response that in any way felt like they were actually doing something about it or were making us feel more comfortable for being there. Big fail for a restaurant. Not impressed.

So this is the restaurant at the new DIA Westin. Had to wait for 10 minutes to get seated with half the restaurant empty. They were out of first three brands of beers my husband ordered off the menu. Even the waitress couldn’t believe it. They handled it right by comping the eventual beer they did have. My buffalo chili was brought to me without a spoon. So were the coffees, nothing to steer the milk with. The waitress saw the knife that I used as a steerer in my coffee, laughed and did nothing about it. Be aware that the bathrooms are one-person occupancy only, so there always appeared to be a line waiting. Is that the prepare you for your eventual airplane experience? Anyway, you’re trapped when you stay at that Westin, and the restaurant takes advantage of it by not trying very hard. I lived it with, but if I’m ever at that hotel again, I’ll do room service.
