I’m being generous with 2 stars because the couple of technicians I have had with this spa were wonderful. However, as a company I disagree with their philosophy of how to treat guests. I was misled by their membership terms and when wanting to cancel I was told 3 different stories and had to make 2 more payments before I could cancel. I asked to speak with a manager, never got a call. I went in this evening to use my last paid treatment for a facial. I wanted to possibly give these guys another shot to renew my faith and continue my membership. However, that failed. During my facial I was drilled the entire time about my existing skin care routine. I mean one challenging question after another — I couldn’t relax in the slightest due to my technician and I having different views on skincare. Which by the way, it going to happen. Obviously you’re in this field because you’re passionate about it. However, I am not. I enjoy a facial here or there to help rebalance and rejuvenate. My skin assessment reflects that. It would have been different if she got to know my lifestyle and asked if I was open to feedback. But no– it was«why do you think it’s ok to use that product on your skin? Why didn’t you ask me why I recommend the facial former cleanser? Let me ask you this, If you found something that worked for your skin wouldn’t you want to stick with it? Why do you think it’s better to use retail products versus professional products?» … I told her I would meet with my dermatologist to get their opinion since they offer an extensive professional skincare line. She said«oh well your doctor will just give you a prescription not actual products.» MA’AM. I just said they have multiple professional skincare lines at their office. Please, STOP. EVEN if I were interested in what you were –trying– to suggestively sell me, at this point I am entirely turned off and irritated because you’ve done nothing but bash my existing product line for the last 20 minutes. In the middle of the session I literally had to say, «I feel like I’m being challenged and getting upset. Can I just relax?» A client should NEVER have to say that or feel that way during a spa treatment. At the end, the girl at the front desk was frustrated. She didn’t ask how it was, smile or anything. Just said, «it’ll be $ 35 — how much do you want to leave Vera?» … Needless to say, I’m not renewing my membership. I would not recommend anyone to hand and stone that is looking for personalized attention to their needs in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Because you won’t get that here. You will get a convenient massage/facial at a decent rate. That is it.
