We love coming here on the weekends and eat here probably at least once a month. My favorite is the Garden Hash or the Burrito Crêpe, and their bacon is amazing! We love coming here because it’s easy to customize your meal based on your dietary needs/preferences, and it’s easy to bring large groups because there’s something for everyone. Plus, ordering at the counter keeps you from having to figure out how to split the bill between 6 people who only have debit cards. Like most reviewers, we occasionally run into the odd quirk – like the one time they were out of ice – but it’s not enough to keep us from coming back regularly.

Hash, I really really want to love you. Your coffee is great, atmosphere fun and food delicious and unique. But when I come in during your business hours and you’re not ready to rock and roll it’s a real downer! Especially when I am and need to get my day off to the right start with your amazing hashes. Yesterday, I popped in and your poor back of the house lead was trying to explain to us how the barista wasn’t here and he didn’t know how to make any front of house drinks. Even coffee. Really? We had to walk out. But I love you, Hash. So naturally wanted to give you another try. Here I am this morning, five minutes past your open time and can’t even have a coffee yet. The barista is late again. At least the back of house lead today knows how to make coffee … Even if he admits he doesn’t know how to make espresso drinks. Take note Hash! When you open at 8 that means I can come at 8 and enjoy the same experience as I do on the weekends at 10! I’d love for you guys to be my ‘way into the office’ spot, but you’re blowing it!

This place is a convenient 15-minute walk from our house so we had to try it, but I was slightly underwhelmed. While the place is pretty cute and the staff is friendly, it took just a little too long — I think there’s an expectation to be fairly fast if it’s a self-serve restaurant — and the food wasn’t spectacular. It’s not bad either though. I ordered the Veggie Love crêpe and just felt like it needed a punch of flavor. I did taste my fiancé’s Bomb hash and that was pretty good so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Anyways, it’s close enough to home that we’ll eat there again. Oh, and I will say the iced latte was amazing!

Husband loves the paleo hash. Prompt service and bottomless coffee. Check in on Unilocal and get a free coffee.

This is a great brunch place with lots of great options for picky eaters! This is an «order at the counter» type place, which is weird for brunch, but not off-putting. They serve coffee drinks and bottled drinks, but no booze(again, weird for brunch). They have great options for those with particular dietary requirements. They have a paleo hash, gluten-free and vegetarian. Fantastic. The corned beef hash was probably the best I have ever had. Fresh, real corned beef that never saw the inside of a can. Delicious! My smoked salmon crêpe was good as well(but still not quite as good as Chit Chat Bistro). And, on a hot morning, a nice, big, iced coffee was perfect. Just a great spot for a quick breakfast with friends :)

The food was good. The«service» is terrible. You order at the counter for a sit-down meal(odd), you TIP before you get any service(also odd), they don’t anxious to bus the tables or to even have bus-tubs to do it efficiently… I went on a Sunday around 11. Many tables were dirty, and it took them 20 minutes to notice. There was much confusion around the«system» because sit-down restaurants don’t typically have you order at a counter. I noticed several people leave because the line to order was too long. I had the hash with yam and tofu. Tasty but not worth the wait and lack of service. The staff needs to figure out a better process, and they need to learn to hustle on a Sunday morning.

Decent crepes brought low by the need for self-service(um. no service) & dishwater coffee(we’re talking the kind you often find at a gas station. It’s really an endeavor to produce drip coffee this bad nowadays). But like I mentioned, the crêpe was good. And nicely presented.

I miss the old Hash. The old owners, the way things used to be. But, as things always change and evolve, so has Hash. The last time we tried to eat here, the place was booming and the entrance doors were locked, so we went elsewhere. Today we decided to try this place again and I think this will be the last time. We ordered at the counter, I the lox and my honey had the relleno crêpe. We paid and found a seat. About 10 minutes later, a guy comes over and explains they are out of salmon, so no lox crêpe for me. Ok, so I decided to get the relleno plate too, I had it here before and it had been pretty good. So, another 5 minutes and they bring out the rellenos. I decided not to eat the meal, it was not something that I wanted to eat. I’m not sure if they were in such a hurry to get it out to me that they scrambled it together or if it was usually this bad. The last few times we have actually eaten here, the quality of the lox crêpe(my go-to standard of delicious) has not been as good. It has changed and I do not appreciate the changes. I also miss the apple juice, why would you take that away? And replace it with FIZZY apple juice in a can??? Also, there is no longer green hot sauce. Also, the floor in the dining room could use a wash/sweep. I am so bummed that I have no desire at all to return to Hash, this is the end of our long term relationship.

I always have a conflicting soul when it comes to breakfast food… should I go sweet or savory. Lucky me when I discovered the cinnamon rolls and paired one with the bacon hash. The concept is great and food always comes out piping hot. I know there has been a change to full service dining recently and haven’t checked it out since then, but I’m sure the food is still amazing.

We found hash through Unilocal and decided to give it a try because it was too lazy of a Sunday morning to cook for ourselves. The storefront was a little difficult to find, but some would say that adds to the charm, and I agree in this case. I lived in Denver for four years and never knew this place existed. Hash is definitely a hidden gem, not located in any of the usual neighborhoods. A very simple menu, consisting of crepes, hash, and more traditional breakfast plates. I had the«Bomb Hash,» and must say it is aptly named as it was definitely the bomb. A delicious conglomerate of meats, veggies, eggs and spices. I wish I had known about this when I lived here, and will definitely return when I am back in town. The restaurant is a small space, but doesn’t feel packed which is always a plus. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. The laid backed atmosphere makes for an ideal place to chill on a lazy morning!

Great family-owned neighborhood restaurant. The food is always very good, and made to order. Basically if you want hash or crepes, this place will satisfy. They serve Novo Coffee, which is always a treat. The staff is always super friendly as well. It’s well-worth a trip.

I was looking for a place to have breakfast/lunch thing — a brunch, duh! Hash popped up on my trusty Unilocal app and off I went. The place is very open, not super cozy, wooden chairs and trendy but uncomfortable stools. The menu is super intriguing, lots of hash combinations and a surprisingly large variety of crêpe concoctions. After a good 3 minute look at the menu on the back wall I decided on the Chile Relleno Crêpe. As others have mentioned it was a bit odd that the crêpe didn’t come with anything, no side of anything, fresh fruit, potato’s, veggies, an egg, nothing. I got over it and waited at my seat. It’s semi service here, you order at the counter and then wait for your food to be delivered to your table. So, not very formal. The crêpe arrived and it was beautiful, very large and not necessarily the most authentic crêpe in the world but a pretty solid effort. The crêpe was stuffed with cheese and chile and topped with some pico(tomato’s and red onions). See picture for some food envy. The crêpe was very tasty and I ate every last bite. I would probably opt for a more cozy brunch spot, there are so many around, if I was in the area again I wouldn’t hesitate to come in. The rest of their menu looks very good, so I would be willing to give it another go.

2012 Reviews #134: Came here today for a Mother’s day breakfast/brunch. Didn’t realize it was semi-service, so that was a little unexpected. Like others have said, I find the setup to be a little weird– the sugar/cream/napkins/utensils/condiments are as far away from the ordering counter as possible. It would make more sense to have them close together, but ok. The coffee was pretty good, not too bitter. Our croissant sandwich and hash came out relatively quickly. I got the veggie has and was not expecting it to be as good as it was. Zucchini, squash, mushrooms, peppers, onions, potatoes, spinach. I don’t like about half of those things, but it was really surprising. It needed the help of some salt, pepper, and hot sauce, though, but then again so does most breakfast. Like others have said, I am surprised that it doesn’t come with anything. $ 6 for less than two cups of sauteed vegetables is pushing it a bit, and I was also perplexed because the iron skillet they present the hash in was cold, so clearly it is not prepared in that skillet. Nonetheless, it was tasty and I ate it up. My mother’s croissant sandwich was definitely just a carrier for excellent bacon. The bacon really was great. I took a bite of the sandwich without bacon and it was very bland. The croissant seems to be microwaved before assembly, so it is not«flaky» as they claim. Again, it is a little pricey. They do give you more service than just a coffee shop though, and have people come around to take plates, check in on you, etc. This is a great place for families or casual gatherings. I’m not sure I’d come here specifically for a meal, unless it was a very busy breakfast day(such as Mother’s day) in which case I would come back because it’s a nice way to avoid crowds.

After a vacation in Breckenridge our group wanted to grab brunch somewhere in Denver before our flights. A friend living in Denver recommended Hash for us to try. Typically they stop serving breakfast at 11 and we got there a little after 11:00am but they still offered to allow us to get breakfast options which we really appreciated. We were in somewhat of a hurry so that counter style ordering was great for us. Although only 1 cook did slow down the process a bit. However, with 1 cook we still got our food in a pretty timely fashion. I got the Stuffed Fluffy Croissant which was really good. I did not come with anything but a slice of blood orange. I wish it would have come with a little more fruit or something on the side. I had a banana earlier in the morning so it was enough for this day but had I been coming in for breakfast on any normal day, I would have needed to order something else to fill me up. I also ordered a small vanilla latte. This might be the best coffee I’ve had. I’m now in LOVE with NOVO and am hoping to find it in my area. It was strong and yummy and would have gotten another if it wasn’t already my second coffee of the day. Another girl in our group got a latte and she shared my opinion on the coffee as well. Several others in my group had a handful of the hash options and they looked great and everyone really liked them. Another person got The Irish which he raved about. Looked a little sloppy and had A LOT of very creamy red slaw on it. I didn’t taste it so I don’t know if that’s good or not but a heads up for anyone not a big fan of a sloppy sandwich with a lot of slaw on it. One other guy got the All American and said it was one of the best sandwiches he had all week.

Hash is one of those order and then sit down and wait for your food type of joints. I actually liked the space a bit more when it was Crema Coffee Shop. It’s still set up nicely, and I can’t put my finger on what it is, but the layout seemed a bit more inviting before. The original hash was pretty good, but very salty, and the potato to corn beef ratio with way off, IMO. I did like the cast iron skillet presentation, though. My wife had the lox crêpe and she seemed to enjoy it well enough. The staff was very friendly and attentive for the type of place it is. I’m really just not a breakfast person. I know, right? When I am in the mood for breakfast again I’ll probably go somewhere other than Hash. I can imagine hitting them up for some coffee, but I just wasn’t that impressed with the food. I’m sure I’ll try them out again sometime since they are so close to the house, but I might just skip getting the hash at Hash.

Local joint, amazing food, friendly staff! Our friends had been talking about this place since they moved in during the summer and we were finally able to get to it over the weekend. The menu is amazing! We went with the burrito crêpe! Green chili was a bit watery but very flavorful! Cute location, good coffee I’ll be back to try the hash and the sandwiches and the rest!

Awesome. I love living in LoDo but places like Hash make me wish we lived in the Highlands. I had the breakfast burrito crêpe. Damn good stuff! My only complaint if you could call it that would be the pork green chili while tasty was very watery and made for a pretty soggy crêpe. There’s enough on the menu that we’ll be making this a sunday morning tradition.

I most definitely think this is a welcome addition to the Sunnyside neighborhood! It is definitely not what I expected, but that’s my bad for not reading through reviews. It really is a glorified coffee house with kick-ass breakfast food. You order your food/coffee at the counter, wait for your goodies to be delivered to your table, and then clean up after yourself. It has a kind of limited menu but I think they do everything well. It’s not all hyped-up like oh so many breakfast places in Denver so there doesn’t seem to be a wait ever so if you are into a casual quick meal, this is your place! We’ll be back, and not just because we can walk here.

To know me is to know how weird I get about fonts. I’m not joking. A font can mean the difference between immediate acceptance and good deal of reluctance to try your business. It’s ridiculous, I know, but that’s the way it is. Of course, you can tell from the star rating what I thought of Hash’s fonts. Not only does this place have great fonts, they have delicious, memorable food made in a quaint, open setting. I did not have the hash, since I had a something else catch my eye: the Mediterranean Crêpe. Filled with provolone and feta cheese, kalamata olives, artichoke hearts and spinach, this crêpe sent my head spinning the minute I took a bite. I’m not a huge fan of cooked spinach, so I did pull those leaves out, but that’s purely a matter of my taste. Also, this place serves Novo coffee which, in my opinion, is the best coffee roaster in Denver. I think Hash could stand to brew the coffee about 20 degrees cooler and it would be even better. Then I could also drink it while I’m eating. The coffee was so hot, I couldn’t take a sip for 45 minutes. But when I finally took a sip, it was delicious. I don’t live close enough to Hash to make it a regular stop in my week, but if I lived close, I would be in this place on the regular.

I adore this unassuming breakfast spot. It’s kind of a mix between coffee house and restaurant where you go up to a counter and order, clear your own dishes and such, but they bring your food to you and you get a lot more than just baked goods to eat. Since it’s named Hash I, of course, ordered a breakfast hash on a recent visit — the vegetarian hash to be quite specific. This is made with spinach, zucchini, squash, mushrooms, roasted peppers, diced chilies, and potatoes all chopped up in a skillet and topped with two over-easy eggs.(All for $ 6.95 by the way.) Don’t like runny yolks like me? They’ll prepare your eggs over-medium or hard if you ask. I did and they were more than happy to accommodate me. In fact the girls working here were absolutely pleasant the entire time — not rushing us while we hemmed and hawed making a decision, willing to switch out my tofu for eggs should I have ordered the mushroom and yam hash and so on. Oh yes, they serve NOVO coffee for all you fans out there alongside a lovely drink list that included a Roasted Marshmallow Latte. Overall I’m definitely a fan and will come back again to enjoy more of the local, organic products on the menu.
