Very disappointing. Was in this store just now shopping for Halloween stuff and asked for the pass code to the restroom and was told it was for customers only. How am I not a customer? I was going buy something but forget it! How rude!

I’m glad to have a spot to get all my geek fandom needs that’s not just online. I wish the store were a little bigger and that some merch was easier to reach, but I can’t complain about the selection, and I know that retailers gotta work with what they have. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

This is like one big party in here. And have everything you could need to dress up your attire or your cellphone. Friendly employees. Loud Music. And reasonable prices. Should venture into the XL size and not just stop at Large on most shirts.

Tees for every expression of individuality. Accessories galore. Some hipster shoes. Some hair coloring products. I would have loved this place when I was sixteen. I happened to be here because a friend was doing some grassroots marketing which included covering places like this with flyers. Otherwise I probably would not have stepped foot in here. I can be immature for my age, but not THAT immature. I did not buy anything, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying a shopping experience at Hot Topic.

You know why I love this place? The ppl who work here are not the mean/fake goths/punks of yore that worked in Hot Topic when I was a teen. These ppl work hard, pay attention to the customer no matter the lack of piercings/tattoos, and they always act happier than the stereotype would have you think. The selection is decent, and sometimes the sales are worth checking out. Those who think only wannabes come here are wrong. I love my plain grey hoodie I just bought from there for $ 18.

Last time I was at this store pretty much all they had stuff for was for girls. Occasionally Hot Topic has some really cool clothes for the guys but you might have to drive out to your local suburbia mall besides this store to find guys clothes. They do have really cool neon nail polish though! Hey guys wear that too so don’t even go there!

I don’t care what the haters say. I love Hot Topic. I was a goth kid before there was a Hot Topic, when goth meant you had to work hard to be ostracized from your peers– thrift stores, DIY and all that were what you had to do in order to garner that kind of scorn from other teenagers. That said, I don’t really care that the goth look has been co-opted by the corporate titans-that-be. I like that this place has shown kids that it’s OK to be quirky or offbeat or express themselves… let’s face it, how many ways are there left for teenagers to be «weird» and freak out their parents? It’s not like goth or punk or anything like that is anything new, so kids who want to work that look can at least have a reasonably priced place to blow their babysitting money. I like this place even though I’m 27 because they actually carry fun lingerie in C and D cup sizes. It makes me feel happy and sexy in my own body to not have to squeeze the girls into a C-cup bustier(that costs twice as much) from Victoria’s Secret. The fact that they offer stuff in full-figure sizes kind of adds to their corporate philosophy that it’s OK to be who you want to be. Also, the kids who work here are cool, approachable and helpful. Try finding that at, well, most of the other stores at the Pavilions.

You know what, Hot Topic blows. If you have been here, well then you know what I am talking about and I don’t need to continue. And if you haven’t, well I guess I need to fill you in. Hot Topic is a pseudo-trendy store made for high-school girls who want to be out there and gothy… This place is for girls who want to try and be independent, and by doing so they purchase stuff at a chain that has over 600 stores. Pricey and gawdy, hot topic loses.
