I can’t say enough good things about this Jazzercise center!!! I am visiting from Austin, Tx and I immediately was made to feel right at home!!! Sandi, Rebecca and Brit have all welcomed me with enthusiasm. Many of the other jazzercisers made an effort to welcome and talk to me too. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for making it fun for me to keep up with my classes while I’m on vacation! Susan

What a great way to stay in shape… in concept… I have been jazzercising since 1990. I have tossed my thong leotard and headband sets, but the dance routines are as great as ever. A lot of weight work has now been incorporated into the routines, so it’s possible to get your cardio and a full body work out all at once. It’s so fun and the music is so great, you don’t realize you’re working out so hard! This jazzercise has two huge carpeted work out rooms. Classes are pretty well attended and the only drawback is space being too cramped and rampant illogical turf issues, most folks are friendly, but not always. Mostly not always. A little updating to the facility, which has not really changed since I moved here in 1996, would be a good investment as the space is slightly drab and depressing. I have been coming regularly for the past three months and still just don’t fit in or fit the demographic exactly. Three full months and no one says hello. It is a fairly lonely workout experience! I love the exercise in the concept but this particular location is only okay.

Throw away your preconceived ideas of what Jazzercise is. Gone are the days of leotards, legwarmers and hi-top Reeboks. Today’s Jazzercisers anywhere between the ages of 20s-boomers. Some of them wear trendy Lululemon and some come in shorts and a t-shirt, but I’ve yet to see a set of leg warmers. I took advantage of the Jazzercise Living Social deal that was offered last week to mix up my workout routine and I’m glad I did. It’s a lot of fun! Jazzercise is 5 minutes warm up, 30 minutes cardio, 20 minutes strength and 5 minutes cool down. There’s a choreographed dance to each song and the instructor can choose to mix the songs into the playlist of her choice as long as she follows the class format. This helps the class from becoming monotonous. The center itself is very spacious, and while the décor hasn’t been updated since probably the 80s, the space is kept clean. And the center staff is very friendly and they offer childcare for several classes. Will I continue with Jazzercise after my month is over? Probably not. It’s not really a convenient location for me, which has been verified from the additional gas my car has been using since I joined. However, if it’s a convenient location for you, and you are looking for a new workout, I highly suggest you check out one of their free Monday classes during the month of September.

I’ve been Jazzercising for over 20 years and I never get bored with it. I know that many think that Jazzercise is dated, for old women in leotards and leg warmers, but that couldn’t be more wrong. The classes I attend(I prefer step to regular) include teenagers, men, middle-age women and seniors. Everyone moves at their own pace and gets what they want out of each class. I’ve tried yoga and fancy athletic clubs(with every type of machine) but I like Jazzercise the best. The Denver Center is large, clean and has just about every class you could every want or need to choose from: regular, step, personal touch(personal training) and body sculpting. All of the instructors are great but my favorite is owner/instructor, Sandi Hull. Sandi puts thought into every class making sure to include a workout for virtually every body part. I swear sometimes my earlobes feel like they’ve gotten a workout — she’s that good. Her mission in life is to make sure you are sweaty and happy after every class. I’d like to say that I’ll be jazzercising long after I need a walker but because of Jazzercise I’ll probably never need a walker.
