I’ve been coming here for 2+ years. By far the best Thai place I’ve ever been too. The Tom Yum Soup with Combination is always a hit. I also love their Vegetable Crispy Egg Rolls and Crab Cheese Wontons. I always order the Drunken Noodles with Beef and make it Mild. But everything here is good! I’ve tried anything from their Curries to the Thai Fried Rice to the Hot Noodles Bowls! Restaurant is very small so if you are planning to come in, I always recommend to come in right when they open!

Best Thai food in Colorado. My family has been going here for 9 years. Tried over half of all the Thai restaurants in the Denver metro area and none compare. Best Tom Kha soup, Prik Pow noodles and black rice pudding I’ve ever had. Every time we come here we are reminded just how amazing, flavorful and traditional the food is. I could eat here every week and not tire of it.

Had a delicious, inexpensive, and quick lunch here! friendly service, too. I had the yellow chicken curry. It was great. Portion size was appropriate for the price. I’d definitely return next time I’m in the area!

Thai options in Denver are plentiful and J’s definitely delivers on quality. I ordered fried veggie rolls, Chicken Pad See ew, and Fried Chili Paste dish with tofu. All 3 were absolutely on point. The veggie rolls came with a chili dipping sauce that made for a spicy and sweet sensation. My girlfriend is a MASSIVE pad see ew fan, and she was very complimentary of the flavor. I tried the noodles myself and she was right! The fried chili paste dish came with rice, stir fried veggies, and tofu. Yummmmmm! This plate was awesome. Usually, I will destroy every last grain of rice in sight, but I chose instead to leave a bit for leftovers. I’m pretty sure the food was better the next day. The only reason why J’s doesn’t get a 5-star rating from me is because US Thai is the golden standard for me in Denver. That’s not to say that J’s is substandard by any stretch of the imagination. If quality Thai food is what you seek then J’s is your place!

Nice staff, great deco, food is more like your grandma’s dishes than a restaurant(great great flavor, fresh, and healthy). The only minor downside is that there is not much meat or vegetables in the dish(hence the very affordable price). For example, there were 3 thin strips of chicken and 2 shrimps in my country style pad thai. But I understand that they have to make a profit so it’s not a deal breaker for me. Plus the flavor is very authentic, so that makes up for it. I would definitely go back.

Best cheap Thai u can get your grubby little hands on! Pad Thai is a bull’s eye. The curries are scrumptious. Staff is as compassionate as they come.

I used to be able to walk my dog to J’s for take out on a regular basis. I was lucky enough to find myself at J’s on Friday and could not figure out why it had been so long since I ate there. They have the best Pad See Ew around, it’s the ultimate comfort food. Everyone is always very friendly and there are great options! It’s definitely worth a drive!

A longstanding favorite for Thai food and probably the best option on Federal. Prik Pow noodles are always great but I think that the pad see ew is one of their standouts. I’ve spoken with them at length about cooking techniques and one of the unique things about their pad see ew is that they cut their own noodles. This makes for a wonderful thick noodle that caramelizes well with the black soy sauce. Friendly service and excellent flavor.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant! The country pad Thai is a must have! I normally wouldn’t order pad Thai as most Thai restaurants use a red sauce for their pad Thai that I’m not crazy about but J’s uses a brown sweet and pepper sauce for their country pad Thai that is simply magical. Some other dishes I order is the larb, tom kha gia, and the pineapple fried rice. I order everything vegetarian, but all my meat eating friends love this place as much as I do! Lastly the family that runs this restaurant are just the sweetest! Please stop by and enjoy!

So far, this is my favorite Thai spot in Denver. Located in a small strip mall on Federal it is a little hidden, but don’t miss this place! As most Thai places you can order each dish as mild, medium, hot, or Thai hot. I love heat so I usually order hot/Thai hot, for a little heat go for medium. The spicy fried rice is delicious with a variety of vegetables and hot heat, the red curry is my favorite in town(«spicy» curry made me cry once!), prad prik king green beans are fresh n crunchy, and the basil eggplant is rich and savory. If your tongue is on fire, order a cooling Thai iced tea.

For years I have dined at this place, but then one day I went in and the service was terrible. We waited almost 30 min before anyone even asked for our order or to bring us water, meanwhile they were serving and taking other peoples orders who had arrived AFTER us. Finally after being treated so rudely we left. Learn how to treat your customers respectfully, whether they are white or asian. Hate to turn this into a racial thing, this so rarely happens, but it did and the owners at J ’ s should be called out on it. Sorry but why would u treat other Asians with disregard? you perpetuate racism against yourself.

Great Thai food, some of the best I’ve found in Denver. I have been on a hunt since Bangkok Café sold out in May– This place is exceptional! A little hole in the wall, J’s Noodles Star serves up sizzling Thai just the way you like it– you can hear them frying it up in the back. Thai-licious! We tried the Basil stir fry very spicy(yum), the papaya salad(yum), and the Chile paste stir fry(yum). We will certainly be back to J’s!

I honestly dont know why this place is 4 out of 5. We ordered the crispy pork egg roll, beef sliced noodle soup, and pad see ew. Nothing special and below average. Crispy pork egg roll was very crispy, which I liked but it didnt feel like an egg roll to me. It tasted like dumpling filling in an egg roll. In addition, the pad see ew was very watery and didn’t taste like a stir fry. On the other hand, the beef sliced noodle soup was ok. Very different but in a good way. Would I come back? Probably not. It is just not worth the drive for me when I have a Thai restaurant that I like 30 minute closer. P. S. The iced thai tea was very sweet for my liking.

I just visited this restaurant for the third or fourth time. My first couple of experiences were very good, probably 4-stars. Solid service and overall great food. However, my previous visit was pretty poor and I’m not sure I’ll be back considering the density of fabulous asian restaurants in the immediate vicinity(Star Kitchen, Phở Duy, Lao Wang, etc). First and foremost, the service was absolutely terrible at my most recent visit. It took over 20 minutes to get an appetizer, and the place was not that busy at all(about 8:15PM on a Saturday night, several empty tables). The waiter was very friendly, but not that attentive, and I am fairly certain there was a major problem with the kitchen. Finally the appetizers came and we ate those very quickly. I thought they were good, but my friend was not a fan. Our entrée came that we were splitting – a noodle dish. I was happy with the taste; about on par with what I was used to from this place. However, the dish was noticeably smaller in size than what I was used to. Also, there were no spices or hot sauce of any kind on the table. I got medium and it was plenty spicy for me, but what if I wanted to add a little extra something? Nothing. Combined with the poor service and small portion size, I’m not sure I’ll be back. The prices are great, but I’d rather pay a buck or two more for a larger entrée. I think I’ll default to Star Kitchen or Phở Duy, which are extremely close. I would probably still go here all the time if it were in central Denver, but it’s not. You have to have stellar food and great service at this location in Denver because of all the great restaurants around. I hope my recent visit was just a fluke. Please step up your game J’s.

I’d give 4.5 stars. Most of the food is excellent there. It’s a hole in the wall type of place. You must try their drunken noodle with beef and add in beansprouts. Their yellow curry is delicious as well. Everything is great there except their lunch/dinner prices. Their lunch prices are awesome, but their dinner prices increase(~150%) and you DON“T get more food — at least not when I ordered it. So if it’s before 3 pm and I’m in the area — I go to J’s Noodle star thai — without fail — I always always always have to go. But at 9 $ for a plate where I’m not that full, it’s still good but not that happy. Overall Lunch: 5 star Dinner: 3.5 star

I made the mistake of not ordering a noodle dish! We had curry lunch combos, and they are alright. Prices are insanely cheap, but the amount of meat in the curry was scarce, as well there was a ton of broccoli. I don’t know why all these Thai places in Denver put broccoli in curries. This is not common on the east coast, or in any Thai cookbooks I own. Curry was edible, it didn’t really stand out. I had panang, and, bf had green. Do yourself a favor and skip the curry and get a noodle dish. I know it is right in the name, it’s Star Noodles– not Star Curry.

The best Thai I’ve eaten in Denver. This hole in the wall is serving up legitimately delicious Thai food! I’ve gotten their take-out at least 8 times and never been disappointed. It usually takes about 10 – 15 minutes and pick up is a breeze! The beef Salad and Papaya Salad are both scrumptious. The Green Curry is good, but the Massaman Curry is my favorite! Yum!

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law insisted that we eat here while we were visiting here from Philadelphia. They have been regular customers here for 10 years. After a delicious dinner here last week, I can understand why they frequent here. The best Pad Thai I ever had. Perfect balance of salt and sweet. All the noodle dishes we ordered were amazing.

I thought the food was good. The portion was a bit small and the medium hot felt like super hot. I got full by drinking a lot of ice water to calm the heat and went home with left over. I guess you can call that a win win situation.

Tried this gem last night — Thai on a rainy night is always a good idea! Choosing J’s was an even better idea :) Best Tom Kha I’ve ever had — fresh ingredients and great depth of flavor. Friend got Prik Pow & I had Drunken Noodles. Heat level was perfect and noodles were amazing. Can’t wait to come back.
