Almost 2 years later and Janet is doing a knock out job in a tight industry. Whoever says the cheese plate is lacking, is lacking in the knowledge of Fromage. Delicious and plenty for two :) The snails are delish, the cocktails mashed by Matty flavorful and the people working there are real. Thanks La Cour for not having a TV. Awesome

Had two glasses of very nice French wine and the Dip du Moment, which, last night, was spinach and artichoke dip. The dip was fine but a bit salty mayonnaisey for my taste. Very friendly and knowledgeable bartender. Great conversation with two psychologists. Interesting mix of young and older clientele. I wouldn’t expect a great meal, but the music was fantastic.

Jeannette made sure that everyone at my party had a great experience. The atmosphere is simple yet elegant and the musicians were wonderful. Even for a group of people in their mid 20s this place is the cutest little spot in broadway. The food is also delicious! It is not cheap, if you are the kind of person that would rather have mc donalds instead of red robin, this is not the place for you. You get what you pay for, the cheeses are authentic and amazing, and everything else that we ordered was well worth the price. Bookmarked as a favorite… we will be back again and again :)

This place is alright, but no way 4.5 stars like the overall rating suggests. Went here last fall with my wife for some apps and wine. We live in the nearby Platt Park neighborhood and wouldn’t rush to return. The food was average to slightly above average, patio noisy on Broadway, service mediocre, etc. It might be four stars in a smaller town or in the ‘burbs but there’s better choices within a mile radius for approx the same cost.

Oui, oui. Me like-y. There’s a lot of really great stuff going on at La Cour. It’s an intimate setting, perfect for date night. Also, if you call ahead they can set you up with a group table. While it may seem s small from the downstairs, there’s actually a great dining room upstairs. I highly suggest this place for something new and exciting. The french food here is awesome. As is the wine. Of course, I can’t really remember the exact menu due to the wine, but I remember thinking that it was phenomenal while dining. It sure seems authentic to me so that’s a bonus. On one occasion I arrived and sat at the bar before a Unilocal dinner event. The bartender was cool and the drinks were right on point. It might be a bit more pricey than your standard Broadway establishment, but that’s fine by me. I love that they have live entertainment. It’s always rotating so there’s something new and fresh to check out. They do mystery theater, cabaret, live piano(or some other kind of cool instrument). Man, this place has some culture. While it might be hard to find, it’s worth the struggle. Great food, good vibes, nice employees and a true experience make La Cour one that is not to be missed.

Decided to try a new spot in the area since we’ve had some really good luck at other places nearby, like on south pearl, but we were really disappointed with the service and product quality. The atmosphere was great and we wanted to stay for the live music, but had a hard time justifying that. We arrived for happy hour right around 5:15 pm and there were maybe 3 other ppl at the bar; but it took about 10 minutes for the 2-person bar team to give us regular menus(not happy hour menus) and maybe 15 min for us to place a drink order. One of the staff members seemed confused about how to make the drinks offered on their menu, I assumed they were new and probably just training and the other person was training him; I was wrong about that. Overall, it seemed no one behind the bar knew what they were serving because his co-worker served their«smokey Manhattan» with standard Jim beam and not the bullet rye it’s advertised as having, which sounded delicious! One bartender spilled a bit of my cocktail on the bar in front of me, didn’t apologize and didn’t clean it up. I cleaned it up myself with some cocktail napkins. After we were halfway finished with our drinks, we were offered the happy hour menu, which seemed to have some great deals and I wish I had seen it before ordering my drink. The staff let our drinks reach a completely empty state and no one offered new drinks or refills, and we decided to ask for our bill leave. Really had high hopes for this place. We’re willing to give it another chance in the future, but not anytime soon. Hoping for a better experience next time.

Food is barely passable. They only offer 4 entrees, which is fine if they are all outstanding. I ordered the salmon. It was poached and dry. With sauteed squash and rice pilaf. It tasted fine, but tasted like something I could cook at home in 15 minutes. I was shocked when my bill came back and was over $ 100, along with 4 glasses of wine(they don’t sell wine by the bottle) and one appetizer between 2 people(the entrée was $ 24 each) The service, on the other hand, was attentive and friendly. There were very few other diners in the restaurant. To sum it all up: mediocre food that tastes like it came out of the freezer and the cupboard, with very expensive prices. Terrible value. I do not plan to return

Stopped in for a drink without knowing much about the place, and I was blown away! The staff was friendly and quick, the prices were great with a lot of deals on food and drinks, and the décor was spot-on. The jazz band upstairs was perfect. It was pretty quiet on a Tuesday night, but that made it even more intimate and enjoyable. The band was incredibly friendly, and the whole experience was wonderful. I plan on spending many more evenings here.

Finally, a unique restaurant experience! Went there an a Saturday night based inn the good reviews and could not be happier. Excellent French wine selection, great appetizer(the spinach artichoke with a wonderful crust) awesome salmon with champagne sauce, and a spectacular chocolate dessert. $ 100 for two which was a steal given the AMAZING live trio playing jazz all.night. SCORE! And great service too. We felt like we were in a private jazz club having out with the cool jazz prople. We will be back#

Fantastic wine and cocktail! Much awaited Live band! I had a great night with friends here at La Cour Denver’s Art Bar. They had few available dishes from the menu. You must try the Escargots Tartine. Its perfect for any cocktail.

A bartender who knows what he’s talking about, and will take the time to mix it right. Cute little kitchen that dishes out great cuisine, not«bar food».we want to come back when the live music is playing

Great live music. Where else can you find local live jazz … with no cover and great atmosphere. LaCour is like a cross between a French bistro and a NYC Jazz club.

Delicious food. Not a large selection but not needed as everything we had was excellent, including the appetizers. Wide variety of drinks(I loved the La Cour Royale). We sat upstairs and listened to a delightful live band. Will definitely return with friends.

Bartender made quality drinks and provided excellent service. Excellent atmosphere with the exposed bricks and quality music– especially the live jazz. Food was tasty but there was some slight issues with a delay in the kitchen. I’d go back.

What a great place to grab a drink! The happy hour specials are awesome and if you check in on Unilocal during happy hour you’ll receive a free drink! I’ve been here a few times, and every time I visit I leave feeling like walking in was a great decision. I brought my boyfriend here for Happy Hour a week ago after he had to listen to me rave about it for a while without having the experience himself. He was sold once we walked in. John our bartender is an asset to the establishment. He was friendly and knowledgeable and gutsy too! First off, he made the best Dirty Martini I’ve ever had. Just the right about of vermouth and vodka. Most bartenders seem to be a little too generous with the vermouth and it throws the whole drink off. I also asked if he had ever made a Black and Bleu Martini. He had never heard of it, but said he’d give it a try. What he came up with was something I had never seen nor tried before and was very impressed. He mixed actual bleu cheese with the vodka in a shaker and the product ended up being a white martini. Delicious! We look forward to returning. Thank you for the stellar service!

I absolutely loved every part of my experience when a friend and I went to have a few drinks here. The atmosphere is relaxing, but a little warm. Good thing they have the most adorable outdoor seating area! All the staff were extremely helpful and professional. I will definitely be coming back to try the delicious looking food. Parking is the only downside, it was free but down the block.

Random Unilocal find that I have decided that I love! Parisian bistro type setting with great service. I have not had dinner there, but have had appetizers and thoroughly enjoyed them. We had a meat plate and a meat and cheese plate to accompany our cocktails. Drinks were fantastic! I love the outside patio wth fire pit, though it was rainy when we were there, so did not partake. The upstairs has live music most nights of the week as well as a good amount of tables and space. Pierre, the manager, was friendly and knowledgable. Definitely becoming one of my go-to places for Happy Hour!

Unique little place worth going farther south on Broadway. They are trying to get the word out. I think they are going for dinner and a show atmosphere, like, make a night of it. I was there for an event and they had a burlesque dancer and two piano player singers. Make sure you don’t bring the kids when they have the striptease going on! One singer, female, did a lot of French and vintage songs and had some sing-alongs. The fellow that played for a bit was kind of scoldy. He said some condescending stuff to the crowd that didn’t go over well. Fun stuff either way. If you are into piano bars or dinner shows, this could be for you. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. There is a decent sized bar downstairs. Upstairs is the main dining. Tables are a bit cramped. Great for a party, not for privacy if you are on a date. This used to be a house and so there are some rooms with tables if that makes sense. The cocktail menu is extensive and the drinks are phenomenal. I tried several and they were all amazing. The menu is French based. We tried several appetizers and the favorites were the smoked salmon and the escargot. I have to say it was the freshest, best prepared escargot I have had in years! I made everyone try it and even the skeptics were pleased! The main courses were all boiled/steamed. There are only 3 to choose from: a chicken, a fish, and a pasta. I tried all 3 and they tasted like they appeared. Boiled food takes flavor out. The salmon and chicken were… soft. It’s just not my taste. Some people enjoyed it a lot. The desserts were excellent. Fresh crepes with creamy«stuffing». Molten chocolate cake. An apple pie type thingy. Service was super friendly and gave some great history on cocktails and some dishes. They were very attentive, especially for how our group kept them hopping. Food and drinks came out much faster than we expected. I would definitely return and get those cocktails and that escargot and enjoy the show!

La Cour is a TERRIFIC special music café that had GREAT live music, delicious French café food, & a great informal atmosphere. This charming arts café is the next best thing to being in Paris! La Cour’s very attentive gentle owners & waiters love making newcomers feel welcome & special. Anyone who experiences the joy of a La Cour evening returns to this magical place again & again. In addition to the downstairs bar & upstairs music areas, La Cour has a lovely courtyard(with a fireplace) where the live music can be heard!

The food here was pretty great. They were even able to accommodate a gluten free menu for my Celiac wife. The live entertainment was Cynthia Rose doing Jazz. A very nice evening. Highly Recommended.

La Cour is a great neighborhood gem. Authentic french bistro, great food and beautiful bar. Don’t expect calorie-laden heavy sauces and snooze inducing entrees. Instead, the fare is light, affordable and great for after work snacking or dining. They have live music upstairs six nights a week and a fabulous patio. Skip the trendy, noisy and expensive joints. Opt for urban chic at La Cour.

We went there randomly one evening. Upon arrival, we’re asked if we’re here for the wine tasting. Ugh, sure, sounds good. For $ 12 here we go with 6 excellent French wines and some French style toasts to go with each wine. Now we’re speaking! One hour later, a diverse and interesting crowd, live piano and singing in the background. Some more excellent food, great desert. How can you not love an evening at la Cour?

Hold on: I’m a little mad that I’ve been eating elsewhere for brunch, when this dynamite spot with unreal quiches and bottomless mimosas — was just down the street on S. Broadway. Every inch of the building is covered in blue paint so you can’t miss it amongst the charming antique stores that line that part of South Broadway. When you first enter you are faced with a cozy room and bar that makes you want to stay there all day and belly up to the bar. But alas, most of the dining area is upstairs with fun, funky artwork and on the particular Sunday — live music. Not just live music, but an intimate set consisting of jazz musicians and a charming lead singer. Everything from French melodies to Buddy Holly. For the quiche — I recommend the Colorado one with spicy sausage and green peppers. The zangy with the rich — oh my divine! The staff is friendly and attentive. There’s really not much that can beat my brunch here. Don’t expect a full spread of ever kind of breakfast item for this seems to be strictly French.

A welcome unique, wonderful gem in the Denver scene– Honestly a venue unlike any other in Denver, or elsewhere– these guys have a hit of a concept on their hands! This is a Bistro with quality french-flair food fit for foodies. Try the Pâté– seriously good. The cheese plate at $ 11 goes the distance and will feed a whole table full of happy hour goers. This is a Gallery full of art! The artists change, but the work I have seen is compelling and provocative, and almost affordable. Almost. This is a high end bar. From Beer to wine, La Cour has a fabulous, affordable selection. I recently drank French champagne all night, pourquoi-pas? They also have a full bar, and a creative mixology drink list! Delicious cocktails for all! Happy hour on the patio around the fire pit? Bien Sur, mon ami! This is a JAZZCLUB– Fabulous, quality Live MUSIC in the upstairs — people dancing, having a great time, enjoying food and beverages while a 4-piece belts out some Billie Holiday. Formidable! This is GREAT for groups. I hosted a meet-up group, and there were at least two other group functions going on– the staff handled it beautifully, and working with Pierre to set it up was a breeze. I am so glad this upscale fusion of a bar bistro music venue has moved into the hood! I am so lucky! Bön chance, Bön Courage, Vive La Cour!

This is a really cute place that has an artist painting while you eat. It’s really original and different, so if you are artistic inclined you will love this place. I also think that while the food is better than ok, you should come for the experience of how different the concept is. The salads are amazing, the quiche is decent, and avoid the ham and swiss. The owner was super nice and made an off the menu kids meal. Also know this place has the best butter in Denver! And a beautifully interesting fire pit bar.
