My two adult children and I just left this location. I am new to Unilocal, but try to look at reviews before I visit a business and am very glad our visit did not go as the first reviewers visit did. My washer is down momentarily so we had to do a few loads to get us by until the part to fix the washer arrives. We looked for instructions immediately after walking in the door. The owner greeted us and started to explain the process. You put a $ 5 deposit down(money is returned to you when you return the card) for a card, which you load($ 1, $ 5, $ 10, or $ 20) to use in the machines. Laundry prices were a little steeper than I remember from a laundromat in Lincolnton last year, but that drive would of had me about even in price. It appeared to be clean for an older establishment and the staff appeared to be pleasant. They are foreign and have thick accents, and me being hard of hearing made that a little difficult but my children are used to being my ears. The first review had me a little fearful to go there. I hope it was the exception and not the rule though.

************************ 100NEGATIVESTARS ****************************************** When our washer died and it was going to be two weeks before Home Depot could deliver our new one, we had to use this laundromat. We had not used a laundromat in a looong time, so when we entered I asked the attendant how it worked now. She told me to put our clothes and soap in a machine and she would start them for us. She then questions me about my choice of hot water to wash our white clothes. Its my damn money, I’ll wash our clothes in what ever temp water I want to. Then when I went to the counter to pay I handed her my debit card and in a loud, rude voice said«WEDON’T TAKEDEBITCARDS» I said there was no sign or anything informing customers of that and again in a loud rude voice said«I JUSTTOLDYOURWIFETHAT A FEWMINUTESAGO». At this point in a loud, rude voice, I firmly informed her that she had not spoken to my wife and did not know what she was talking about. She then told me because I had no cash she was going to take my wet, soapy clothes out of the washing machine. WTF??? What kind of customer service is this. I told her that we only lived a few miles down the road and I would go home and get cash. I told my wife what was going on and to watch the machines as she was threatening to take our clothes out. I returned with the cash and my wife said the entire time I was gone the attendant and 2 of her«regulars» were loudly and profanely bashing Southerners. Really? You yell at your customers, you threaten to take their wet, soapy clothes out of the machine and you profanely bash the very people who pay money to keep you in business and yet on your website bill yourself as ” The friendly neighborhood Laundromat«What a joke! Plus this place is über expensive, two washing machines cost us almost $ 10. Thank goodness we were able to take our clothes home to dry them or two loads of clothes would have cost us $ 20! Two visits in one first and last. I would rather wash my clothes in the bath tub than to give this place another dime of our hard earned money. If you have to use a Laundromat, go anywhere but here. With this kind of horrible customer service, this business derserves to fail!
