Loved it! Food and service was fantastic! This was my first time here and my server, Rain, was awesome and very helpful. I will be returning for breakfast whenever I’m in the area.

Food was amazing! So, so hard to find good creole outside of Louisiana and this is as close as I’ve ever come! Come for a nice, lazy brunch. Make sure to get the beignets, with their outdoor sitting area it’s almost like you can pretend you’re at Café du Monde!

We tried Lucile’s in Fort Collins and were hooked! I try something different every time I go and I’ve never had a bad dish. Beignets, fresh orange juice and the biscuit with the house made jellies are a must order. Avoid Sunday’s it’s near impossible to get in. I’ve waited 2 hours but it’s well worth the wait.

I’m a fan of Lucile’s. From service to food – I would definitely give an A+++++! Service: the employees are light-hearted, flexible, and so kind. I always do things like«can I get a full order of beignets? but half for here and the other half to go?» OR «i would love to get half grits and half potatoes.» Answer every time? «No problem!» Food: If you’ve never been, get the Cajun breakfast – beans, hollandaise, eggs, grits/potatoes, and biscuit! DELISH! Last time I ordered the creole omelet with my half grits and potatoes and it was amazing and so satisfying. Did you know they make their own condiments? LITERALLYALL, from ketchup, hot sauce, and jams! The spiced iced tea is mind-blowing. Always order that.

I obsessed with Lucile’s. Seriously. If you want some authentic cajun cuisine like what you could get in the Big Easy, you need to check this place out. Every once in awhile they also have jalapeño grits — if you come on a day that this item is on the menu, it is a must-try. Bön Appetite!

Yes, 5 stars is what this review has to be. And honestly the service was just as good as the food was. Our waitress(forgot her name I’m ashamed to say) was friendly, knowledgeable and was bouncing around like a kangaroo. Our group had simple omelettes, but the star of the show were biscuits the size of a brick. Those alone are with the trip. You better like cajun, because most items all have some sort of cajun spices in them. We’ll go back and you should to.

It’s absolutely worth the(usually) long wait. Food is always hot and delicious. Their strawberry jam is addictive on their infamous biscuits… I can never decide between that and their gravy as a topping! A favorite for sure! Their hot cocoa is actually really tasty too, if you are into that(I’m currently pregnant and can’t imbibe in their regular coffee, but that along with the chicory coffee is decent). A must-try for something filling, flavorful and total deviation from the whole pancakes-and-syrup thing.

This place is so stinkin good. I used to live in the neighborhood and come about once a month. I have since moved but still manage to make it here a few times a year. Some people are hesitant to wait for a table on the weekends because it is a pretty popular place but I think it goes pretty quickly, there is some good people watching and they have a full bar available for everyone. Their bloody Mary’s are delicious! I have tried several things here. My favorite is the eggs Benedict. Something about their ham is so good and if you pair it with their country potatoes it is easy to get carried away and have to be rolled out. We always start with beignets because my boyfriend loves them. I don’t usually want something sweet in the morning but they are fresh and homemade and you can’t really go wrong ordering them. I prefer the biscuit. These homemade buttermilk biscuits are huge! And always come out warm. If you are feeling particularly hungry get a side of their gravy. It is like a mini breakfast before your main breakfast arrives. I have always left Lucile’s with a full, happy belly.

Great Southern brunch spot in the heart of Denver! This was my first time at Lucile’s and it was such a great ambience walking in. The whole set up is great for an outdoor brunch. The inside gave me a Southern creole feeling like I was back in New Orleans. There was a wait time but we were seated immediately. I ordered the eggs sardou and it was good but I think next time I’ll go for the Rockefeller instead. I like a lot of meat and mine was loaded with spinach so be aware of that when ordering. The biscuits were big and soft and kept me satisfied while I waited for my meal. The food was reasonable and delicious, I’m sad I missed out on ordering beignets. Next time that’s the first thing I will do!

Excellent food, good service and neat atmosphere. It was really crowded and stuffy inside which made the wait a bit of a bummer.

Yum, yum. I love creole and southern breakfast foods. The beignets were great(though not quite as good as Brenda’s French Soul Food in San Francisco!) and definitely hit the spot. I got an omelet with«creole sauce,» which is a filling of a tomato-based sauce with sausage and other fixins. It was so filling I could barely eat half! But really flavorful. I loved the cheesy grits, too. Biscuit was nice and fluffy and GIGANTIC. The service was good and the restaurant was cozy.

Got here right at 8am on a Sunday and no wait but the place certainly filled up. The beignets were warm and fluffy with so much powdered sugar. I got the eggs pontchartrain. Trout in the morning … I was skeptical. But wow! This was amazing. The eggs were poached perfectly and the fresh herbs in the bearnaise made it. I got half jalapeño-cheese grits and half potatoes, which was a good combo. My sister got the creole omelet, and the creole sauce was full of spices and flavor. Her favorite part of the meal was the cheese grits. The biscuits were perfect with the strawberry rhubarb jam as well. The coffee is nothing special but compared to the rest of the meal, not a big deal. Water was refilled, and the service was friendly.

The food overall was amazing! I ordered eggs Rockefeller which had this creamy sweet sauce and ate it with the biscuit. This dish also comes with a choice of potatoes or grits. I added cheese to my potatoes, but couldn’t finish it.*note: it’s an extra $ 1.40 when you add cheese to your sides. Food portions are large so come with an empty stomach or I would recommend sharing your main entrée with a friend. For desserts: I shared some beignets with my friends; 4 beignets are in one order. I recommend drinking chicory coffee or Café au lait with this! :)

Wow this place is big! I’ve been to the Lucile’s in Fort Collins before, but this Denver location has a porch bigger then the entire building in Fort Collins. We came at 9:30 on a Sunday which I thought might doom us to an hour long wait. Luckily it was only took about 5 minutes to get eating for two. I had the Eggs Eisenhower with grits and we split a half order of the beignets. I also tried the Chicory Coffee which was pretty crazy but good. It’s a really unique flavor, but I ended up enjoying it. Definitely a fun little breakfast spot!

This place is truly amazing! They do things a bit different that is for sure but the food is too good to resist. I really could go on and on about it but I rather list some helpful hints. –You cannot make reservation so you just have to arrive and wait times will go from 20 minutes to an hour so prepare yourself. Also your full party must be present to put down your name. Disclaimer: The nice part is that they have a bar off to the side so you can get started with a delicious creole coffee or bloody mary and sit by the fire outside. –You do have the option of a community table to possibly lessen the wait time. Note that a community table could be just a four top with two couple… you’ll be best friends by the end. –Come hungry and ready for carbs. If you don’t try the beignets and a biscuit with gravy you have not done Lucile’s right! They are by far the most fantastic things on the menu. Enjoy!

Definitely a taste of New Orleans Creole Cuisine! Have been here for breakfast/brunch, and returned this most recent time for lunch. Love the location in Central Denver, ambiance, service, menu selections, NOLA décor… not to mention the Mardi Gras beads for the accessorizing! The blackened salmon was perfectly prepared, and I subbed the mashed potatoes for a more southern choice: red beans — delicious — and also without question ordered the collards — a true southern MUST! Ahead of lunch arriving, our complementary biscuits and corn bread were served; again, truly awesome. Only recommendations for the restaurant — 1) we were well inside the restaurant but the cold breeze made it quite drafty, 2) reduce the sodium a tish(I know Southern food is salty, but reel it back a bit) and 3) offer un-sweet tea; the only tea offered was spiced and it was too sweet and not very ‘southern’ to me(I lived in Atlanta for a long time) — the server said it was naturally sweet, but it was way too sweet regardless. I’ll be back :)

I love this place. The only problem is the line. The eggs Benedict are arguably one of the best in the country.

Brought the whole family here for Black Friday breakfast– they don’t take resys so we had a party of 13 waiting for an hour– Even though we had sent someone ahead to put our name in, they would not even start getting us a table until we were all there — that’s the only thing that sucked really badly ’cause we had three kids with us –the good news is that they have outfitted the upstairs with toys and an open space to play so we had a spot to hang out. We eat regularly at both the original Boulder location and the Longmont locations whenever we can so were excited to see if food as as good here. NEWSALERT! Beignets at this location are even larger, fluffier and more perfect! Not one person complained when I ordered us 4(FOUR!) orders of beignets, and I noticed there were none left :) The biscuits also did not disappoint, as usual they were buttery goodness smeared with homemade jams — everyone at the table was happy and we bought a bag of the mix to try to reproduce them at home. I had the Eggs New Orleans and it was as good as ever, mom had Eggs Jennifer and reported the same. The kids had Pain Purdue(french toast) so they were all happy. Thumbs up all around the table. Nice work and glad to see the Lucile’s empire continue to expand– you deserve it!

I forgot how delicious Lucile’s was, until my last visit. First off, there was NOWAIT for THREE at 9:15am on a SATURDAY. Now, onto everything that’s wonderful about Lucile’s: — Potatoes. Their potatoes are downright delicious. They’re good as served and with their homemade ketchup and hot sauce. — Biscuits. Their biscuits are fluffy, moist, and HUGE. It’s really yummy with the homemade marmalades and preserves on the table. — Blackened Salmon. Seasoned, Cajun-style, and cooked to perfection. Need I say more? — Beignets! Large dough-y pillows that are generally hollow, but soft, chewy, warm, and oh-so delicious. Try it with the homemade preserves and marmalades! — SERVICE. Why is everyone here so incredibly nice and friendly? They’re wonderful. On top of that, my table’s food was served within ten minutes after ordering. The bottom line is that everything here is delicious, amazing, out-of-this-world, awesome and all of the above. You really can’t go wrong with any of the items on the menu. So, stop by on a Saturday before 9:30am and be prepared to be feast like kings and queens.

Stopped by for a late morning brunch on a Saturday, and as no surprise, the place was packed and the wait list pretty long. However, we were still seated within 20 minutes… this place is quick and efficient! The mimosas are served as fresh-squeezed orange or grapefruit juice and a mini bottle of champagne. Definitely worth the $ 7 price tag! For food I ordered the Eggs Sardou and my roommate ordered an omelette. I didn’t get a chance to taste hers because it was so good she inhaled it in seemingly just a few bites! My Sardou was delicious as well, but I felt that I couldn’t taste the hollandaise sauce over the flavor of the creamed spinach. The potatoes on the side were well seasoned, and when topped with their housemate ketchup and hot sauce, they were fantastic. The shrimp served with my sardou were three large and succulent pieces with a great creole seasoning. For only $ 11, my meal was extremely filling and satisfying. I took my biscuit home(they are huge bricks of salty sweet goodness) and scooped some of their homemade jam in with it. Perfect late afternoon snack! The ambiance was fantastic as well. Lucile’s has done a great job of making the atmosphere feel as if you’re in the heart of NOLA or on the bayou… I couldn’t decide but either way it was great! Definitely coming back!
