Went inside to purchase a drink(purchased 2 Snapple’s and a 2 pack of swisher sweets, all .99 cents each) and cigars, the total was $ 3.24 I handed the man a $ 20 bill. Like most people I don’t carry a lot of cash these days but had just gone to the ATM which ONLY dispenses $ 20’s. He handed me back and dollar and change and I informed him that I had handed him a $ 20 and that he had made a mistake. A customer behind me chimed in and said she witnessed the same thing, as if on cue the other employees came over and began screaming at me and accusing me of being a scam artist. I asked the manager to please go look at the security camera to prove my story, he came back and said I had to come back tomorrow to view the footage. At which point I called the police and the responding officer(Adams County Sheriff) stated that they get a call about this grocery store Short Changing customers several times a week, and unfortunately its a small claims civil matter.
