Beans from a can and rice from a box like rice a roni. Tortillas are NOT handmade and the cheese tasted of velveeta! Also nobody with true authentic tacos puts yellow cheese on tacos, period. We ate there on Saturday and was extremely disappointed. Don’t advertise that you’re authentic or handmade if you’re not. People deserve to know the truth and they should know those are terrible example of tacos regardless of the type. Go drink, the margaritas were great!

Excellent margarita selection & specials. Tacos are awesome, variety of drinks food etc. The sidewalk/patio bar seating is awesome. Especially in the warmer months and baseball season. Great location and great service!

I like the atmosphere and the variety of Marg’s. It’s a small restaurant with large garage doors make it a great place to sit outside and people watch in Lodo. I usually order tacos and I always enjoy the«fusion» ones like the Banh Mi and Vindaloo. The tacos are incredibly small though. The taco trio is enough for me but my husband would likely need two plates. They have awesome guacamole. I would pass on the ceviche which has more red onions than any other ingredient. I found myself just picking out the fish and avocado.

I’ve been to this location twice for drinks. Both times we’ve been able to snag seats on the patio, which is my place of choice. You can order right from the bar window, which is always convenient. My drink of choice is the tequila fresca. They muddle in fresh citrus and basil leaves. I have to remind myself to request limited agave syrup as it’s a little sweet for my liking. They always have drink specials/features and so be sure to check the board beside the bar window.

I had the pleasure of eating at Margs last night. The mahi mahi tacos were perfectly prepared. But the biggest surprise was the expertly prepared margarita! Heaven in a glass! If you can’t find a drink here that you are happy with, you are just not trying! The staff really cares about getting it right! I look forward to going back again!

(Review based on 2.5 stars) Located close by Union Station, my husband and I decided to grab some lunch here last Thursday afternoon around 1:20 pm. Because of the highly rated reviews(overall 4 stars at the time of this review and the time I had looked it up on my Unilocal app), I decided to come here. When we entered, an employee acknowledged us and told us to sit at this booth by the door. Once we sat there, we decided to sit at the bar instead. After looking over the menu, we ordered: Cup of Spicy Chicken Tortilla, $ 5 prior to tax– Average, unremarkable. Was not spicy. No chicken was in this soup and only 3 tortilla chips were in it(was soggy by the time it was brought out to me). 3 Taco Platter, $ 10.50 prior to tax– My husband picked the Calle, Korean Pork and Caprese tacos. My husband and I were surprised to see how small these tacos where. Also there was a small side of rice and beans. For $ 10.50, this is definitely not enough food to fill you(especially if you are a guy). Each taco was just average. We have definitely had better in LA where we are from. Red Quinoa Salad, $ 11 prior to tax– I decided to order this salad and thought it was good. The portion was plenty for 2 to share. I wished there a little more chicken and less cheese. The dressing was good(I had requested it on the side). — — — — — — — — — – (Total= $ 28.62 includes tax, prior to tip) Service was much left to be desired. With the bartender as our server, she wasn’t doing anything. No one was ordering drinks while we were there so she was just serving us. I tried to make small talk with her and she didn’t really engage. She was on her cell phone most of the time. Honestly, I would not come back here. The food is overly priced and just average. Service is lacking. With so many other dining options nearby, anything else you choose would be better than this place. By the way, there is outdoor seating in case you still want to come here(in case you want to smoke or bring your 4 legged pup).

Good lighter style of Mexican food in downtown Denver. Maybe a little overpriced because of the location on Wynkoop Street. That’s really the only reason I’m giving four stars. Bartenders will take care of you with good drink specials and margaritas. Especially if they recognize you as a regular. I worked at Union Station for over a year and always got attentive service. My favorite selection is the taco trio with beans and rice. You get to mix and match any meats such as steak, chicken, pork, chorizo, etc… I’m sure their Cherry Creek location is nice as well, but it’s more of an adult party over there. So I would definitely suggest the downtown location for a more lively crowd.

I was in town for a conference and found Marg’s on Google. My impressions: 1. Get the Cadillac Margarita. It’s as good as anything you’ll get in Texas. It’s was outstanding. Really. 2. The tacos are not your father’s tacos(whatever that means). Marg’s tacos are a fusion of high quality ingredients from a variety of cuisines, Korean, Cali, Mexican, etc. 3. Overall: make the effort to hit up this place. Great food, great drinks, great staff. This place should be a national chain.

My friend and I have been here about ten times and have really enjoyed the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. The tacos are unique and filling, and the margs are big and flavorful. There are gluten free and vegetarian options, too. Try the vindaloo tacos, the kiwi-jalapeño marg, and the chips with the strawberry habanero salsa! Also, shout-out to our server Kelsy and the dark-haired hostess(Ana?) who are always on top of their game. No matter if the restaurant is full or empty, they are always working hard, friendly, and always one-step ahead of things. They both made our experience at Margs the best!

Popped in to grab a few tacos and drinks for taco Tuesday. Service was great but the food is subpar. Unfortunately this place has almost hit rock bottom. The steak taco was the a gross chewy cut. And the pork taco tasted like canned tuna… I’m not kidding. They did take $ 2 of the price of price of the 2.50 taco but that’s not the point. Grab a drink here but go anywhere else in Denver if you want decent food. It’s sad when you see a favorite place decline.

First day in Denver for the Air Force Graduation. where to eat. Yup Tacos /Mexican. This unique place was a last minute find with friends. Great hipster styled restaurant, very modern in ways as well. Staff was friendly, fast service and food came out flying. Drinks were excellent as the on recommended shots were very tasty. Though some people have reviewed less than perfect margaritas. They did look very good as everyone near us had one. Parking is street and metered at the time we went. Now about the food… Very good or should I say very, very good. We started with Mahi Mahi Ceviche. Super tasty, being a fan of Ceviche and have had is all across both Atlantic and Pacific oceans, this was a pleasant surprise for Denver. Perfect flavor, mixed with the right amount of sweetness and tartness. My Tacos. well just say we all shared and ate a lot ! We had the Caprese, Banh Mi, Korean Pork, Calle, Tempura, Vindaloo and Mahi-Mahi(aka Dorado) They were all good. seriously… and came out of the kitchen flying… Out of all the Tacos we shared my personal favorites are the Banh Mi, Korean Pork and Vindaloo. The spice level or heat level was hot ~ as I love spicy food, I was pleasantly surprised on the level of heat they all had. All with unique flavors though the Banh Mi wasnt the same Banh Mi Im used to from NY but very good nonetheless. Price and service with the solid selection of tacos and drinks makes this a great place to have fun with friends. Check them out, we’ll be back for sure.

We stopped for drinks after the clerk at our hotel recommended the margaritas here. We tried the frozen and on the rocks, both were pretty disappointing. The Mexican mule was no better.

Yummmm. I love Marg’s. I love Marg’s margs. I have been here a number of times and the place is always packed. Their tortillas are to die for, and I’ve never had a taco that I didn’t like. These are higher quality than street tacos(and the price, the only reason for not having five stars, reflects it). They are expensive, but they are good. The guacamole will go too fast because you can’t stop eating it. I am not a jalapeño or «exciting» drinker; but my partner tried one of the spicy ones and loved it. The only other downside is that it’s just not a lot of food, so you end up spending a lot of money on the three tacos, and are still pretty hungry unless you pair it with other sides. But I understand you are paying for the location, experience, and hand made organic quality. I will be back!

I truly enjoy myself every single time I go to Margs. They always seem busy and it’s a great time whenever I go. They also have s great happy hour. The margarita selection here is incredible. I highly recommend the strawbanero marg if you like spicy drinks. It’s a great combination of heat with a subtle sweet hint from the strawberry. The tacos aren’t to die for but they are still tasty and relatively inexpensive. Definite must try tacos include bahn mi and the calle. All of their tacos have a funky twist that gives them a unique one of a kind taste. I love that they bring out a warm tortilla and salsa when you sit down.

Wanted to grab a small bite and some drinks, saw a taco place near our hotel, so we gave it a shot. It was somewhat, a disappointment. Our drinks were so strong, I might as well just drink it out the bottle of tequila. The food was mediocre, I don’t remember which tacos I ate, but they were nothing special. I wouldn’t come back.

My biggest complaint about Marg’s is that I had to order take-out and drive back to my hotel, and thus wasn’t able to really explore their margarita menu. But that’s hardly a legitimate complaint! The food is just slightly higher priced than other places I’ve been to in Denver, but the quality is on par with the prices. I was hungry, and ordered the salsa trio(pineapple, pico and strawberry habanero), the chips and guac, and the three taco plate(caprese, bahn mi and Marg’s club). The salsa was really good. The pineapple was sweet but not overwhelmingly so, the pico was perfectly chippy, and the strawberry habanero… wow. So hot, but sweet, and a really interesting flavor combination. This was the only one I didn’t finish, just because it was so hot. And I like spicy! But it was really good. Definitely worth ordering. The guac was awesome. Like, I could eat spoon-fulls of that guac every day. Super fresh, definitely not from a package, with big chunks of tomato(YES!), and super creamy. Really good. The tacos were surprisingly awesome! My ONLY like, «this isn’t worth five stars» thing is that the meat in the tacos was a touch over-cooked for my taste, and dry, which made the last few bites of each taco less delicious than the beginning and middle of the tacos. I really loved the organic tortillas, and the way the tacos were wrapped. It made them really easy to eat, which I appreciate. The caprese was probably my favorite, flavor-wise. Who would have thought? A caprese taco? Would definitely order that one again. The bahn mi was also really good until the middle, when it became mostly overcooked pork. I ended up adding some pineapple salsa to help hydrate the pork. But the first few bites were really well done. And the club was also delicious, except for the dry chicken, which dominated each bite after the first few. So, yes. I’ll be back, and hopefully I’ll take a cab next time so I can drink!

Yummy tacos, though a little on the small side. The 6 taco plate is the way to go. Solid house margarita. Nice décor.

Delicious food. Loved their beanless bean dip(it’s their queso). I had a taco platter and all the tacos were good, but what was the best part of the meal? The warm, homemade tortillas. Yum. Don’t have many other words. I was there for a work lunch, so I skipped the margarita, but with all the infusions advertised, I can’t wait to go back and try one!

I’m a glutton for punishment as I always end up here for lunch on a work day and have yet to try a margarita(sadness x10). I’ve come for lunch multiple times and the taco’s are always delicious. I usually opt for the two or three taco platter that comes with rice and beans. I wonder why I ever decided on two taco’s instead of three when there’s only a $ 1 difference in price. The Langustine taco is tempura fried wrapped in a corn tortilla with some cabbage slaw, avocado, and a lime and chipotle mayo. My only wish would to have more langustine in my taco, but I guess I could solve this by ordering three of these for lunch instead of just one. The Carne Asado is a classic and is executed well with a little heat from the jalapeño salsa on top. I make a mean guacamole and Marg’s guacamole rivals my own both in spice and in quality. If I wasn’t worrying about looking like a pig in front of my dining companions I could have polished off all the guacamole on my own. Tortilla chips are nothing special and I presume they may come from a bag but reading the menu online they say homemade. I’m not impressed. Service can be very slow, even on their more empty days. When I dine in for lunch, I’m looking for a quicker turn around time so I can go back to work. I always have to be mindful of the time it takes to dine here when coming and this limits how many times I come for lunch. If they could turn a table in 30 minutes or less the lunch crowd would increase significantly, me included. Marg’s is a good option for lunch in the neighborhood and is a quick walk from my office. With a few tweaks on service this would be my lunch destination at least twice a month.
