Eh. Salsa is pretty horrible, service is not good. Probably needs to be a bar vs a restaurant. The patio is the only positive of this place.

Over the last few years, my friends have chosen ANYWHERE but Margs in Cherry Creek for lunch or happy hour. I have been such a defender that I have found myself there alone many times, because I love tacos to go. This time however, I’m done. Done! When I choose a restaurant to have a bite, maybe a drink and get some work done, I am offended, when the bartender thinks her job is more important than mine. That being said, I am known for being short with people, but rarely rude. This bartender called me rude and strutted off, like I had just offended Stevie Nicks. I called after her OFFENDED? but she proceeded to storm off and gossip with others. The bartender that I know and the manager acknowledged and took care of me, but my money will NEVER be on that bar again as long as they allow their staff to be as they appear to be.

BEWARE!!! If using your credit card keep your receipt, they have a nasty reputation of increasing your tip. I contacted them twice to make this right and they did nothing. Very disappointed!!!

Mmmmm Margs. Yes, it’s a taco place primarily but I love the variety of salsas, chips and the guacamole. I’ll usually go for one of the salads, a good sized portion and plenty of food for one or the ceviche which is also a good size and delicious! The staff here is always friendly and last Saturday night they even helped me add the Pandora radio station they had playing onto my phone! Decently priced too and they often have a tequila special — if you’re into that Will be back very soon!

I am really surprised this place seems to get bad reviews or just average. The tacos here are really delightful. I love the Calle, Caprese, but most of all the Shrimp. The shrimp one has a nice spicy flavor to it but so delicious. The guacamole here is a must. I think it is a pretty darn good place and beats Chipotle by far. Give it a shot!

Been coming here for quite sometime and I would say I’m a regular as they know my drinks when I get there. It’s like cheers. But I must say the past 5 days or so I’ve been in and you guys have been out of corona. Jus baffles me on how you can still be out but yet this bartender named RYAN is jus amazing and remembers everything and is hands down the best bartender I’ve ever encounter. He jus keeps me coming back and drinking modelo. 5 stars for Ryan.

I didn’t come for food because it’s a Friday and I enjoy a nice drink. I must say that Ryan gave us the best service. My five friends and I ordered so many drinks! I wish I had more to say but the fact is that his service was so phenomenal that it no words can truly describe it. I didn’t order food. Yah go Margs… And go Ryan

I came here on 2 separate occasions once for dinner and once for happy hour. I really liked their salsa sampler with your choice of 3 salsas. They successfully blended different international flavors into their tacos. I had the Mahi Mahi and tempura shrimp taco plate. All the flavors and textures complemented each other so well together. Everything was surprisingly well priced for the quality of the food you get. If you like good tacos with an Asian twist, then you have to pay this place a visit!

Not a fan. I think this place is overpriced and under seasoned/under portioned. They charge $ 7 just for chips & salsa… that is a joke. I get that it is «trendy» mexican, but I don’t need to pay more to eat good food. The portions are tiny, and frankly just not good. The margs are pretty good, all things considered. I would not recommend the food though. I’ve only ever visited the one location, but poor experience does not boast more visits.

Margs has been on the ol’ ‘To-try list’ for several years. I mean this literally. Did you know that you can add bookmarks and make lists on Unilocal? It’s handy. Check it out. I’m always interested in unique taco creations, so I had high hopes for Marg’s. What I experienced at Marg’s was not what I had hoped it might be. From the time that I walked in(the restaurant was uncomfortably warm), sat down(the water I was given was literally warm — not just ‘not cold’), and was greeted by the server(who was adequately attentive but seemed disinterested), things just weren’t working. The restaurant was packed(making it a little loud for my taste, but so it goes…). Service wasn’t fast, but it wasn’t painfully slow either. A slight delay just allows more time for good conversation around the table. The tacos were pretty good(the Korean taco was the best– excellent even, while the banh mi did not meet up to the expectations I had in my mind). Serving size is reasonable, but both food and drink prices seem a bit high for what the diner actually receives. This is probably due to the inevitable hipster mark-up of a couple bucks. I’m glad to have tried Margs, but probably won’t be returning.

The most unique taco place I’ve seen. Where else can you find a vindaloo taco? Incidentally, that one was my favorite. Good spice, just the right heat, and I loved the cucumber tzatziki on it. My banh mi taco had good flavor, but the meat was a little dry, and the veggie taco was a little soggy. The restaurant was pretty packed tonight, and it seemed like the food may have been sitting in the back for a while before it came out to the table. Everything was warm but not hot. I also have to say that I was not overly impressed with the house margarita… I’ve had better. With the name Margs, I had hoped to be amazed by their namesake drink. Overall, this place is probably worth it for happy hour(3 – 6 pm) when they have specials, but I wouldn’t come again for dinner.

We had a blast tonight at Margs! Our server was awesome and made good recommendations. We tried a few of the margaritas, but the vanilla coconut one was ridiculously good. The food was fresh and tasty. There were tequila girls walking around and gave us free margaritas! Over all it was a fun experience

Went here with friends. Waiter was very friendly but might have been a bit stoned… he kept forgetting things. The food was good and average. The Bahn Mi taco was very tasty; Korean pork taco was ok, shrimp taco was average. They did make me a virgin strawberry margarita that was super refreshing. The pork enchiladas were covered in a tangy salsa and were quite good. Their black beans are well prepared and a good side. Seems like a great place for a happy hour margarita and a taco or two.

This is a nice place to try a fun spin on tacos. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for the most authentic Mexicine cuisine. They have a unique take on tacos with a lot of unexpected flavors borrowed from many other cuisines. I had a taco with pesto and Italian flavors and another one black bean, sweet potato, and goat cheese. Both were delicious. Lots of wonderful vegetarian options. They can make any taco with tofu instead of meat, with no extra charge. My only complaint is that there was a wait of about 45 minutes at around 5pm on a weeknight. Other than this, had a good experience here. Service was good and I got to try some fun, unique tacos.

Yikes, this place sucks! So many other places to get amazing tacos… Why waste your time here?

Not great. Not even very inspired to write this review to be honest. The guacamole had too many jalapeños in it. The tacos were messy and bland. The chips were stale. The menu was improperly marked for gluten free items. On the good side the service was good, but I was the only person in there at noon on a Tuesday. I guess that should have been my first clue.

Nice décor, decent food, but Margs Taco Bistro failed to impress me. Here is what I thought of the menu items that I got a chance to try: The guac was delish. I will rate it as a solid 4 star guac. Decent portion, decent price, really nice flavor. Steak quesadilla — barely any steak or cheese, very mediocre. Chipotle sour cream was nice. Chips and salsa — A-OK. The chips were fresh and alright. Stuffed jalapeños — this dish could have been a hit if only the jalapeños were deep fried in a nice crispy batter. Otherwise the peppers overpowered all the other ingredients in the appetizer.

Just home from this place and still feeling the buzz. Well done, Margs! Relaxing atmosphere and great team that really takes care of you. Tacos are what they are known for and they didn’t disappoint! Perfect dinner that was not overwhelming in size and have you feeling the«bloat». Check them out next time you are in Cherry Creek!

This is a great little patio restaurant in Cherry Creek that has its own parking!!! Oh, and great tacos too. A selection of gourmet tacos are served wrapped with your choice of lettuce, corn, or flour tortillas. We tried the two taco platter– one with flour tortillas and one with corn. The flour tortillas turn these creations into little burritos that are incredibly filling. The corn tortillas are perfect 4 bite tacos. The beans and rice served on the platter are in perfect wee little portions. Flavors were good– we sampled several and each taco is well designed and flavorful. My skinny margarita was TART but tasty, and our guac starter was excellent. No complaints! Nice food, great patio, good parking, cold drinks.

Had never been here and came for the Happy Hour to see if we could score free tickets to the 25 Jan 2014 show at Lowry with the Comedy on the Rocks Street Team. Very pleasant surprise! The place is cozy and intimate and very vibrant for Happy Hour. They have a nice patio area out front that will be awesome when the weather gets warmer! I ordered a signature cocktail that had orange and Tequila and it’s was very good, as well as the House Margaritas for $ 5. Got the spicy guacamole(good size), around $ 7 and I am a stickler for guacamole and it was delicious! Had just the right amount of spiciness – creamy and packed with flavor! Daniel and Nick, our bartenders/servers were awesome! T.J. is the Manager. All the staff was so friendly, excited to be there and helpful. Just an awesome atmosphere. Ordered the 3 Taco Platter for $ 9.95. Had the Taco Pastor, Bang Mi, Vindaloo. All were freaking yummy with a little bit of rice and beans! We will definitely be back! Just a great time overall and we scored free tickets to the Comedy on the Rocks show for the 25th of January! WooHoo! We parked on the street and didn’t notice the sign that said Residents Only – each of us got a $ 50 ticket. But you know what? Didn’t even put a damper on our evening – it was that good! Merry Christmas City of Denver! :-)
