Masonry Restoration

As an owner of a real estate company, I’ve worked with thousands of contractors from plumbers to landscapers and can attest to the amazing job that Bill and George offer with Masonry Restoration! One of the most frustrating parts of improving or fixing your home is poor communication with said contractor. Bill was amazing! He answered the phone on the first call and came to see our stucco home (built 1924 so filled with cracks) the next day. He was early for our appointment and walked me around the home, explaining exactly what he could and could not do well for us. He wrote up a proposal on the spot and explained the cost in detail. He was honest about their time-​frame, which was about 6 weeks out. Five weeks later, I received multiple calls confirming the time and date they would show up — they showed up on time and got to work! The work was very well done and they cleaned up after themselves. They fixed brick and stucco on our home.
VERY refreshing to work with honest people with good work ethic and wonderful communication skills. I would recommend again and again!

These guys are fantastic!!! I have an old garage in Wash Park that is really too small for a car so I was turning into a workshop/​man-​cave. They came out, did the tuck pointing and masonry repair at the price they quoted and did an amazing job.
Bonus points for getting our job done EARLIER than expected and for George being so nice to my wife and daughter (2 year old) who loved watching him work.
What actually sold me on using them was he was the only mason we got a quote from that also mentioned repairing our front steps to our house. The steps were a very small job that I thought I’d just try to repair myself but when they noticed them, they said, «hey, we’ll take care of those as well since we’re going to be here.» They are not only great at their work, they want to make a lasting impression.
This is everything you want in a true craftsman business.
PS — not even close to the most expensive quote we got.

I would like to HIGHLY recommend Masonry Restoration. They completely built the entire front porch of our 77-​year-​old Tudor house, with a flagstone top to match our flagstone steps, Before Masonry Restoration had stepped in, the bricks were crumbling and the entire porch was sagging. We weren’t sure that the porch would make it through another winter! It was apparent from the beginning that Bill and George take pride in their work, experts in their field, and employ quality people that were extremely dedicated and hard working, working 10 hour days, 6 days a week, They not only rebuilt our porch, but also tuckpointed other areas of our house and garage, in approximately 7 days, at a very fair price. In addition, they also repainted our porch railings, that were extremely faded, to the original black color, which is something that we had not asked them to do, but they were very thoughtful to take care of it for us! There are many choices you have when you need brick work done. But when you house was built 80 years ago (like our Park Hill Bungalow) the materials were different than they are today. A lot different. Bill is an expert, and he understands that those differences matter both to the way he does the job, and ultimately to the way the work turns out.
Bill is a craftsman, not just a brick repair guy, he loves what he does and that shows. He also displayed great integrity and professionalism during our interactions.
Bill is old school and makes no apologies about it. If you’re looking for a slick business, with a pretty office, and lots of different folks to talk to Bill might not be for you. But if you want good results, from an honest man who loves his craft and is not afraid to write up your receipt covered from head to toe in brick dust, then call him. He’s the best.

We had to get a sewer pipe repaired and that company tore up our stone walkway and wasn’t able to repair it, so we contacted Bill and George and they did an amazing job putting it back together and it looks brand new. The entire process was very upfront and seamless, highly recommended!

We had some damage to a small section of our walkway on the side of the house which caused some water to come into our basement we needed the walkway repaired immediately. I called several masonries and Bill called me back and came to give me a quote the next day. He and his son-​in-​law came out and repaired the area and the walkway looks amazing. They did a great job and they were very clean and didn’t leave a mess behind. To top it off they helped me put the handprints of my 3 kids into the walkway. Thanks Bill & George! I’ll be recommending them to friends and I’ll definitely use thwm again if needed.

I was worried because I have a house built in 1954 and it’s mid century and I wanted to keep it authentic and Bill and George made it look like new. I am so happy I found them and I will use him again and again.

We noticed water damage to our bricks and called Masonry Restoration. Both George and Bill were quick on site, diagnosed the issue and created a very fair estimate to do the work.
They were here on the expected date, did a WONDERFUL job and came in exactly at the estimate. NO SURPRISES!
