Was pleasantly surprised by the food and service. The waiter was fantastic, attentive, and made recommendations. The Almond Trout was delicious, the oysters were very good and the Kale salad was tasty but they had romaine in it which seemed out of place and more of a filler.

Sadly, I can sum up this restaurant experience in one word: dismal. I’ll have to then tell you why, because unless your company is paying for it, you will be disappointed that you spent this kind of money for such a disappointing experience. The atmosphere is old school, fine. There are lots of dark corners for lovers to tuck away and an open space for the suits to eat, drink, and congratulate each other on being masters of the universe. The service started out well. We had two waiters; I’m not sure why. They traveled in pairs. After our salads and soups were coming to end, they simply disappeared into the abyss of the dark corners. Dinner took 3 hours total for a table of 9. Now, I get it. I don’t expect to be in and out of a steakhouse. However, they simply disappeared. The entrees took an unbelievable amount of time to arrive, nearly an hour after our salads and soups were cleared. To give you a hint of how slow the service was — the kind valet came in to give me my keys and said they were sending him home for the night. Now let’s move onto the food. We ordered one of each shrimp appetizer. I had two bites of the coconut shrimp, then the waiter knocked the rest of my plate as he was serving the oysters. The oysters were delicious, but they are raw. Shuck ‘em open, toss ‘em on ice. Difficult to screw up. They were served with the obligatory cocktail sauce, which has no business being on oysters. In my opinion, it kills the flavor. I like a delicate mignonette to enhance the brine. Instead, they served it with plain vinegar. On to the soup and salad, which was decent. I sampled my husband’s clam chowder; not bad. My mixed green salad with candied walnuts(sans blue cheese, add apple) was nicely dressed with a tangy, but balanced dressing. The salad was the best part of the meal. I will mention the server didn’t know where the salads were going. In a restaurant that charges this much? I expect to not have to remind the waiter what I ordered. My entrée was nearly inedible. Actually, I was served the wrong entrée. It had horribly wilted spinach, when I was told green beans, the mashed potatoes looked cheesy, and it was missing the crab topping. It turned out to be my dining partner’s across the way, which I’d learned after I traded my dining partner on the right the spinach for her green beans, and after my husband taste-tested the potatoes for cheese. The dynamic duo came out and moved all the plates around. I ordered the grouper with lemon butter crab on top. My new entrée was missing the crab. They fixed it, fine, but there were still shells in the crab and it was nearly flavorless. My new mashed potatoes were clearly sitting in the pass for the hour it took them to fire the rest of the entrees. They were gummy and completely dried out on top. The fish was cooked fine. It definitely needed seasoning and citrus, so I asked for lemon. Wasn’t enough to perk it up. My husband’s rib-eye was impossibly thin. It did not look appetizing. His truffle frites were decent, but they were thick fries(frozen from a bag). Frites are supposed to be thin and crispy. We were already disappointed enough, and late enough, that we didn’t order dessert. This was an unsatisfactory dining service. I’m really glad I didn’t have to pay for it. Of course, I wouldn’t have chosen it in the first place, based on my fellow Unilocalers’ reviews.

This chain is usually reliable. This location is not. Slow service, mediocre food and indifferent management makes this place a place to avoid. Very, very disappointing.

The service was terrible! I had to take my entrée to go as everyone else at the table was served and finished. Manager did comp that entrée. It’s the least he could do! On a positive note, the bartender made a mean dirty martini. I won’t be returning. Steer clear of this place, they weren’t even busy. No excuse !

This review is for the Happy Hour Wonderful, attentive staff The food was delicious and the cheap happy hour price makes coming here a steal. Coconut shrimp is huge, and delicious. The cheeseburger happy hour meal was perfectly cooked and only $ 5 cheaper then fast food! A++ Happy hour If your looking to just come in as casual come in early, because the business pant suits and ties come in later, taking over the VIP parking lol and making the bar area loud.

Really was disappointed here. Great service. Steak was terrible and they gave me the wrong steak. Outback serves better steaks. The oysters are great and the deserts are amazing. If your looking for a nice desert place that’s all I’d recommend this place for.

Had heard such great things about their happy hour so we decided to try it out. The atmosphere was great as they have table seating in the bar area. They offer a selection of appetizers at $ 3,5,7,9. We ordered 4 to share. The coconut shrimp were great as was the crab queso which comes with homemade chips. The mussels however were the worst I’ve ever had. They were overcooked and super dry — had to peel them out of the shells. We definitely needed 4 appetizers to feel full. Our bill with the appetizers and 2 drinks still ran us around $ 50. Not terrible for seafood but not the best happy hour I’ve ever been to.

I was visiting from Houston, decided to drop in since it is a familiar restaurant. The person who greeted me at the door was very pleasant. I asked to place an order to go and since it was raining out and I was all wet, she took the order for me. While I waited checked on my order several times and told me that it was almost ready. Her shift ended and I heard her tell the man in the suit(manager I assumed) that my order was almost ready. She said good bye and left. The manager never acknowledged me. He walked by me several times while I was sitting there and just looked as if I wasn’t even there. Fine, whatever. About 20 mins go by and I noticed my food had not been out, I then said to the assumed manager, have you checked on my food? He said, I didn’t know what you were waiting for. Um, did you ask? Didn’t I hear the waitress tell you? Nevertheless, eventually got my food and left. When I got back to hotel, less than 10 minutes later, my steak and shrimp were cold. Cold steak and shrimp are not exactly what you bargain for when you spend $ 50 on a meal.

For starters, there is little parking available. Your choices are a small valet lot or street parking. However, given that it is in the Tech Center, this is somewhat expected. The service was on the slow side but very knowledgeable. I went with a large group, so I wasn’t expecting the service to be super fast, but we all knew what we wanted for our meals by the time our server came back for drink orders after getting waters for everyone. The chairs were somewhat uncomfortable, but tolerable. They could be better. The lighting inside is rather dim, which is something I prefer and there was no loud music playing, also a plus. It was a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The food and drinks were incredible. It was some of the best seafood I’ve ever had and the crème brûlée was perfect. My swordfish was cooked perfectly and the calamari was not greasy at all and cooked to the right tenderness. All in all, I will be going back. It is a bit pricey, but the food is well worth the cost. But I could do with less explaining of the menu for the sake of efficiency.

This is the best spot in the tech center for client lunches, dinners and happy hours. We always have such great service and the management always goes out of their way to walk around and ensure guests are enjoying their food, drinks and ambiance.

My second time here and can’t say that I’ll be back. First time was for an event and the food at the appetizer buffet was great, especially the crab cakes. Service was excellent both times, but that unfortunately doesn’t make up for the bad food on my second trip. This time, for happy hour, the food was honestly terrible. We shared the happy hour burger, the fish tacos and the tuna tartar & ahi combi. The burger is a great deal for only 5 bucks and it comes with fries. I think it sat too long on the window or the bread was stale because the bun was hard and almost crunchy. The meat and accompaniments were good, average. The fish tacos were bland and the fish tasted old and was inedible. My husband, who is a chef, said it was probably just a bad cut. Lastly, the tuna… the tartar was great, the ahi cubes, on the other hand were horrendous. They had a spicy rub all over the cube of the tuna and siracha on top. And spicy is an understatement, it was so much rub that it actually burned my tongue for a solid 10 minutes(and I love spicy, but this was anything but normal). I don’t see how anyone would like these or why they would be prepared this way, and why you would ruin a beautiful piece of fish. Does the chef or the cooks actually taste their own menu items? Doubtful because this should never be served. Worst of all, both my husband and I felt severely ill about an hour after eating here. Great deals for happy hour, but certainly not worth it.

Do you like butter? Are you 65+? Like snooty waitresses? Then this place is for you. We dined here on a Friday evening as it’s close to our house and seafood sounded good. I didn’t look at the menu before we left — which was a mistake. I found it hard to select an entrée from the menu simply because I do like lighter food — and everything on the menu was accompanied by potatoes or pasta, and all the salads are filled with blue cheese(I’m allergic). We settled on some oysters from the raw bar and a crab cake to start, then I ordered the shrimp trilogy(terrible name) with butternut squash orzo and my boyfriend ordered the shrimp and andouille mac and cheese. Upon sitting down I notice that there’s trash on the floor next to my seat(photo included), which I thought, for the prices and the whole ‘upscale’ concept was a bit off-putting. I ignored it and hoped the food would be better. While their wine list is quite extensive, their beer list was very minimal and my boyfriend was unimpressed with the Coors and Budweiser beers with few local or craft options. I ordered a single glass of white(I’m a cheap date and I can’t drink that much) and I felt like the waitress was annoyed that we hadn’t purchased a whole bottle or something. From the time we placed our order it seemed like she was upset that we weren’t racking up a higher bill. Her demeanour towards us suggested that perhaps she felt we didn’t belong there — service was quite snooty for a place that really isn’t very high end at all.(I’ve eaten at Joël Robuchon and at the New York Grill in Tokyo, among other high-end and Michelin starred establishments, and nobody there has ever made me feel unwelcome.) This place has paper tablecloths over the fabric ones and I don’t see anyone brushing the crumbs off of my table — it’s not high end enough to warrant service like that. The oysters I ordered were fresh but on the smaller side and were served with cocktail sauce and vinegar — no mignonette, which is what I would anticipate, so that was a touch disappointing. The crab cake was fine, it was small for the price and nothing to write home about — it was served atop a bunch of melted butter. Our food took a long time to come out, and our waitress warned us that the plates were very hot when they did — yet the food was room temperature — meaning our food sat under a heat lamp for some time before it got to us. My boyfriend’s entrée was good — but definitely heavy. My entrée was small and poorly presented(I forgot to take a photo); I’ve seen more attractive playing at a Red Lobster. The stuffed shrimp were really strong tasting and unpleasant, the scampi was extremely butter-laden, and the fried shrimp were, well, basic fried shrimp. The butternut squash orzo was flavourless and had maybe five tiny pieces of squash in it; it too was very buttery. For the price it was really disappointing — none of the flavours meshed well, and while the shrimp wasn’t rubbery, it felt like a chore to eat it. Finally, I ordered crème brûlée– which was a mistake — it was, hands down, the worst crème brûlée I’ve ever had — it was barely torched, the fruit on top was not really fresh — the berries on top were starting to wrinkle; the inside was the worst: it was a thick, grainy paste — like eating vanilla toothpaste. Overall, this place likely stays in business from the old folks we saw dining there — perhaps we just aren’t their demographic. The dated menu, the unnecessarily snooty service, and the uninspired food are all reasons to steer clear of this place.

Oyster lovers! Barcats $ 1! Here TWICE in 24 hours! Their happy hour is really spectacular. Great value… and good food. Carpaccio, wings, burger, barcat oysters. My son loves this burger… as much as the kid’s wagyu beef burger at Perry’s.(perhaps Wagyu beef is lost on those under 16 years old?) I just love this place is not overcrowded and they give you a really good value… for way better than typical«bar» food!

Made a reservation for a complimentary entrée to honor veteran’s on Veteran’s Day. They have complimentary valet. We waited about 5 minutes to get our table and our server was Katie. She was very bubbly, professional and gave great suggestions. Started off with a glass of Merlot and Calina ordered a Guinness. I ordered the tender beef medallions with mashed potatoes and green beans. Calina had the shrimp and andouille mac and cheese. Both were great but Calina’s entrée was super delicious! Since we waited a little bit for our food, Katie brought me another glass of Merlot. That was so nice. Ended the meal with carrot cake to share-yummy with two coffees.

Mc&S is what it is… So what is it? It’s a familiar place with familiar food… And it’s not too shabby! I tried the steak medallions and lobster sun/mon special for 25.99… Hey it wasn’t my all time seafood spot, but it was tasty and just about the right size… My gorgeous wife had the chef’s three course special, Mushroom Chicken Marsala. Wow it was good! I was thinking Mc&S was on the downhill slide but maybe I was a little quick with my prognosis.

Granted I don’t eat here for regular dining so this review is purely for their Happy Hour, M-F until 7pm(not sure of start time). I would give this place 5 stars as the HH food is delicious(and cheap! $ 2.99-$ 5.99) but the drinks aren’t that great of a deal, with a fairly basic selection and service and your food order can be slow so 4 stars is fair as we do come here often. HH menu changes a couple of times a year, but currently the sliders($ 5), Carpaccio($ 5) and Fish Tacos($ 6) are pretty fantastic.

I had a biz dinner where we booked the back rm and had a set menu Service was a bit slow but expected given the size of our group Food was fine — the app was a salad(I asked for no dressing but it mixed in lightly nonetheless which actually saved the fish from the overly sweet candied walnuts — I picked those out and it still made the salad a bit too sweet but a good counterpt to the sour kick of the dressing) The main was a fish — nicely cooked and beautifully presented; I was impressed Dessert was crème bulee — what a disappointment… Not very good at all… If that were better, I might have given the experience a 4 star

I had been here a few times before for happy hour and they have great prices and a good selection at those prices. Went tonight for Denver Restaurant week. Definitely Fabulous service(Eric our waiter was fabulous). I had the salmon that was stuffed with crab, shrimp and brie cheese. The salmon was very moist and tasty, however I prefer a grilled salmon for flavor but this was still good. I also love sun dried tomatoes which were also included in the stuffing. I could have done without the mashed potatoes(nothing special) and I am not a green beans fan(but my other table guests said they were very good with a garlicky flavor). I had the dinner salad which was very good as well with mixed greens candied walnuts, blue cheese, and a balsamic vinaigrette. My husband had the beef medallions that came with a lobster tail and had the cup of clam chowder. Everyone said the clam chowder was good, his steak was cooked perfectly to how he ordered it and I didn’t get to taste his steak, however it was gone within moments. I did taste the lobster tail which was very good. Our table shared the calamari as an extra and I found it to be very tasty and a good texture. I liked that they also added some banana peppers and some carrots in as well as a dusting a parmesan cheese. Lastly desert… I was the only one who got the chocolate truffle cake. The cheese cake was the better of the two and had a nice raspberry drizzle and some whipped cream, it had a nice consistence and flavor. For my chocolate truffle cake I thought from the look of it that it would be very rich and with my coffee it was perfect, it had a brownie taste to it. Overall I thought we got a great meal for our $ 30/pp on Denver restaurant week and as we gazed over the menu will probably go back again to try more since there were some interesting dishes/apps listed.
